Friday

Yay! Friday! I am really proud of myself of getting up early every day this week and going for a run/walk. Today I decided to just walk, but I kept my heart rate up and it was a fast paced walk. I was surprised to see that different muscles were getting tensed and used while walking than running. I wanted to walk because my knees were hurting and I have some shin splints...nothing that I couldn't work through - but I just wanted to take it easy. Every morning I have woken up, laid there for about 5 minutes debating on whether I should get up and run or go back to sleep. I am proud to say that even though I really wanted to sleep, I got my butt up anyway. I had originally planned to do this Monday through Friday and take the weekends off, but I think I am going to go Monday through Saturday. Logan will be having his first T-ball game on the 26th and unfortunately ALL of his games are at 8:00 on Saturday mornings. So I might as well just continue to get up early on Saturdays considering the next Saturday that I can sleep in isn't until May 28! Just a few months away. Sunday I will sleep in at least until 8 (which is what time Landry wakes up) and I will probably just stick to some morning stretches. That is the plan for now. JR says he is about 4 pounds away from having the scale read him...he's lost about 20 pounds and the people at his main office actually commented on his weight loss today...he was pretty thrilled about it. I am still at 134.4 - I made a promise to myself not to weigh in again until Tuesday...I dont know if I am seeing what I want to see because I feel better or if my tummy is actually getting a little flatter. Trust me, it isn't all that noticeable but I feel like its gotten a little flatter. So I never got around to taking a picture on Day 1 - and I have no way to go back and compare - so yesterday I took a picture and hopefully 16 days from now I wont even need the photo as a reference...Hopefully it will be noticeable. But just in case - I the photo for my reference. Also I need to look up some new exercises, because I cant do the same thing everyday!
I am excited to say that other than the office - the house is completely put together...well and the guest bedroom - but I need to get a bed for that room...as of now - the kids toys are in there and it is serving as a play room....Best Idea EVER ---it keeps them both back there for long periods of time and it keeps MOST of the toys out of the living room! The office isn't put together because I just dont know where to start...I need bookshelves - It really is a disaster area.
My parents are coming to dinner tonight. I am really happy to be able to cook for them and even more happy that we get to eat beef tonight! LOL Hopefully they will say yes to letting me use their spare bed!!! I am just excited to get to see them. They live 30 minutes away and I never see them, so this will be nice. They are bringing the kids since my sister has a date, I guess my house wont stay clean for long...oh well at least Randi isn't coming, getting drunk and staying the whole weekend! (More on that later)I am glad Friday is finally here! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

What do you do with the kids when you go running? I go for walks sometimes on the weekend with Aiden, but I don't feel like it does anything. I suppose if you had a jogging stroller and Logan rode his bike??

I did take Landry in the stroller one morning, it was rough. I didn't do much but walk...however, i will say that even walking briskly is a great work out...especially if you follow up with some squats and sit ups and push ups...just easy toning exercises.
