#1 I have control issues......that I can't seem to let go!
#2 Although throwing dishes across the room makes you feel better at the time....the hour it takes to clean the broken glass only pisses you off more!
#3 I do more than my husband realizes
#4 My husband does more than I realize
#5 At 9 months pregnant, I seem to like everyone EXCEPT my husband, except when he wants to do something without me, and then I am extremely emotional and can't understand why he never wants to do anything with me!
#6 I miss my mom more than I ever imagined possible
#7 I am more like my mom than I ever imagined possible
#8 My son is the most amazing person in the world, and can always bring a smile to my face.
#9 There are days that my husband has less patience than I do...If I want him to cut me some slack here and there, I should do the same for him
#10 No matter how hard I try, there are some things that I can not change....but I am to stubborn to stop trying!

I tell you no lies...
quickly before I head to bed...it is almost midnight!
JR brought home two large bags full of baby clothes today....I figured it would be an assortment of newborn and up but was shocked to find that very little of it goes above the newborn size...there are very few 3-6 month and maybe two 6-9 month outfits. WOW! So I am pretty set on clothes! LOL!
To the point....at 8:30 I asked JR to help me out around the house...asked him to pick up a few things in the living room (these are all Logan's toys, that he is determined to keep bringing into the living room!) JR has been nursing a bad toothache since Saturday night and says it isn't getting better....I told him today to call the dentist and make an appointment. In my opinion, it cant hurt THAT bad if you aren't willing to do anything about it! I told him I would call around tomorrow and make an appointment for him...but, I am not going to...I have changed my mind. He is a grown man, he needs to do some things on his own! UGHHHH Anyway, at 10 I told him it was time for Logan's bath...He replied with "there's only 3minutes left in the game....I started trying to get all the baby stuff put away. He finally went and filled the tub, and put Logan in and since Logan was right next to me, JR returned to the computer! After a while, I asked him again to please help...he didn't.Then 30 minutes ago, he got Logan out of the tub, and went and laid in his bed. Logan was still running around, I asked if he had any intention of helping me and his response was, "not this late at night" REALLY???? So, he gets to stay up until when ever he feels like it so that he can get on facebook and watch a football game, but he cant help out around the house because its too late? I then asked if this is what I had to look forward to...me raising the kids by myself, while he lays around...his response was, "yep, at least for the next couple of night (because of his toothache)" It took everything I had to not burst into tears. I feel like he has absolutely no respect for me sometimes. I am so pissed right now!
I have a huge respect for single mothers...raising children while also supporting a family financially. Although, I dont work...yet....I feel like a single parent sometimes. This is apparently an issue that JR and I will never see eye to eye on, and it doesn't look like he is going to give an inch....the problem is, I have already given a mile, and I am NOT compromising anymore! I am not going to stop believing that he should be helping out more and he isn't ever going to come to the conclusion that he should have to help out...So YEA! Bring on the next 50 years of this! Oh how fun.

21 Days to go
I am down to just 3 more weeks! 21 more days and I will finally have my baby! WOOHOO!
Yesterday turned out to be far more busy/traumatic than I anticipated. My appointment with the doctor was at 11:00, I was there by 10:30. Logan actually slept most of the way which I thought was odd. I have officially gained 40 pounds---HOLY COW---26 pounds really wasn't difficult to lose, but 40???? I am in for some hard work! Anyway, I saw the doctor and went through the whole song a dance...my doctor wasn't there, which they let me know a few days in advance, but I chose to keep the appt. anyway. Once again, there was difficulty finding the heart beat...which IS STILL a little freaky, I dont know how or why but for some reason it takes them forever to find it, but I can feel her moving all around while they are searching. Are these the first signs of a difficult daughter??? The nurse noticed my shreck like leg (the right one) She asked a bunch of questions and made it a point to bring it up to the doctor, who then asked me many of the same questions, then measured both calves. My right one is 3 cm larger than my left. Then came the concerned faces....meanwhile my child is kicking the wall over and over and over again, throwing his car and repeating, Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama. He doesn't stop until I acknowledge him, which he then proceeds to tell me some jibber jabber, in which I respond and try to get back to why the doctor is looking at me that way. Turns out she thinks I may have developed a blood clot in my leg and sends me to a Vascular surgeon in Friendswood to get an ultrasound of my leg. I drive over there only to find out that the office I have been sent to doesn't even have an ultrasound machine. Have I mentioned that Logan is being a pain, I have lost my patience, I cry the whole way there, tell JR that I cannot possibly take Logan to another appt. by myself, and he is sitting in his car seat screaming! Anyway, so this office sends me to the Vascular department at the University Hospital Clinic in Galveston! It is 2:15 when I get there...Logan is still behaving badly and I notice that his cheeks are flushed...It then hits me that he might not be feeling so great and this could be attributing to his behavior. I feel his head....HE'S burning up! WOW! I am not winning the mommy of the year award. I go into guilt mode, thinking of every time I raised my voice or threatened to spank...what kind of mother am I, I didn't even notice my son was sick! I get the ultrasound done, it is clear...no blood clot...great news, I then go to the pediatric dept. No, I dont have an appt. but I think my son is sick, I am already there, can you take a look at him. The doc. takes a look, says he COULD be coming down with a mild cough, but he doesn't have a fever and if he is getting sick, I have caught it very early. Ummmm.....tell that to my child who has been begging me to notice ALL DAY, I am sure he has a different opinion about me catching it early!
Finally, I went to my mother-in-laws house to pick up the puppies, got them home, snuggled with Logan, gave him some tylenol cough and then cooked dinner....yeah I didn't get home until 6 - so It was a very long day, and I didn't even get to do the things I needed to get done....
So, since I didn't get a chance to stop by the post office in La Marque...I will be calling them today! I am so irritated about the mail!
Well, Happy Thursday everyone!

Rainy Day
Hmmm... the swelling in my right foot has gotten pretty bad, I am happy to be going to the doctor tomorrow, although I am sure she will just tell me its normal. I have also been getting up much more to go to the bathroom during the night...I know that I could cut down on these trips if I would stop taking a glass of water with me to bed, but I wake up and I am so incredibly thristy. I would rather wake up every hour to pee than to be that thristy. JR has a hard time sleeping when the air isn't being circulated and the new house doesn't have ceiling fans (except in the living room) so we use a floor fan, that really helps, but now he is comlaining that it dries out his throat! I am wondering if that is why I am so thirsty, I also wonder if it is the fan or if he is coming down with something! I have gained so much weight, that I literally haven't stepped on the scale since my last appointment, 2 weeks ago, and I keep putting it off. Tomorrow I go back to the doctor...I am not excited about having to drive so far in the rain, but oh well...Only 3 more weeks from Thursday! After my appointment tomorrow I am heading to Galveston...first I am stopping at the La Marque Post Office to see if I can find out what is going on with our mail. I am getting very irritated every time I get a phone call or email from a friend or family member asking if I have received their card....ummmm, nope I haven't. The mail is supposed to be being forwarded to the new address, but that is not the case. I have sent out several thank you cards, I just hope those are making their way out since things dont seem to be coming in...except for the bills of course! After the post office, I will probably go see my grandmother for a bit, and then I am going to my Mother-in-laws to get Dezi Lu and the puppies. THey are going to be staying here for a week (until next wednesday) so that people can come look at them and to give Carol a little break. I am so excited to have them here. I love them all so much I dont want to let them go. Anyway, it will be a busy day. Today I am going to clean the floors, and try to take it easy...right after I go run some errands...ughh... I am already sleepy just thinking of it all...plus the rainy weather always makes me want to sleep!

Weekend update
Saturday turned out to be a long day, but it was good. I got up at 5:45 am to shower and cook breakfast for the family. We ate all got dressed then ate and got on the road. We went to a Mom's of Twins sale in La Porte....first let me just say, we got there at 8:15 and the place was packed...JR got cut off in the parking lot and you should have seen the people jumping out of their cars hurrying to get their kids in strollers and running in. Also, as we drove through the parking lot we saw several people already loading their cars to leave! I thought, oh man! What did I get us in to? It was a really neat experience, I love going to little things like that, and for the most part everyone was very respectful, but there were a few who were pushing you over just to get to a particular item! Anyway, I took $100 in an effort to get some last minute things for the baby, I ended up only spending $12 and a dollar of it was for Logan! HA!
Afterwards we headed to La Marque and visited with our friends Nikki, Travis and Aiden. I got to hold him for a good bit, I love that little baby! It was still early in the morning when we got there, so I felt bad stopping by, but it was great to get to hang out with them. JR got to see their new TV and I once again tried to get Logan to react to me holding a little baby...NOTHING!
We left there and went to my grandmother's house. We ate Michael Burger for lunch....LOVE that place! Basically I just spent time with her. It has been two months since my grandfather passed and she still cries daily. I feel so badly for her and I wish I could do more than just call and visit, but the only thing that would make her better is to have him back. I can't imagine what she is going through, after 60 years of being with the same person how is it possible to continue on?
From there we went to JR's mom's house to see the puppies. Logan got to see them for the first time and he really loved them...of course, his favorite is still Dezi Lu and he spent lots of time with her...they are just so cute together!
Finally we headed home and took some much deserved naps....it was 5:00! JR ended up going to a friends house that night for a guys night...I hate that I feel so jealous of him going, but I am glad he had fun...he finally got home around 4!
I put an ad on chron.com for the puppies in an effort to get them pre-sold so that the minute they are ready to go, they will all have homes to go to! My sister is getting a puppy, and we sold one to a very nice guy that we met on Sunday to get the deposit from. He has a nice house with a great yard, but said the dog would be an inside pet, which is great and he has two boys 10 and 12. I have another lady coming on Friday to look at them, her family really wants a girl. I was so surprised at how quickly and how many responses came through.
Anyway, we lounged around all day Sunday...watched the Texans! Woohoo! They won, and it was a great game, then we headed to Target. I have been waiting for my 10% off coupon to come in so I could buy some reamaining items, but it never did. I called the registry people and the said they sent it Aug. 31 and it take 7-10 days to get here...I guess it is another one of those things lost in the mail. I have several relatives who keep asking if I have received their card or gift, and I haven't because somehow, a lot of my mail is not being forwarded. I plan to give it until Wed. Then I will not only call the post office, but I will have to make a stop in La Marque to go directly to the source! GRRR! Target said they would resend the card, but ughh....I really wanted to make some purchases that day, and now I have to wait another 7-10 days. Oh well! Since I was there, and I wanted to do something, I went ahead and added a bunch of clothes to the registry...hahahaha, one, because when the card comes in, it will be 10% off, and two because I was bored!
That was it for this weekend...Logan and I got up at 8 this morning...looking forward to the afternoon nap! Going to a jewelry party tomorrow night with Tina, have a doctor's appointment and mail situation on Wed. Hopefully will have a play date Thursday and will meet with the lady about the puppy on Friday! Hopefully do some shopping next weekend!
Have a great week everyone!
Oh yeah....and Logan has been using the big boy potty....I wouldn't call him potty trained, yet...but he used it 3 times this weekend!!!

Good day or Bad day???
Logan is still sleeping and I am wondering what type of day Friday will bring. Yesterday, he was wonderful the day before he was a terror and the day before that he was wonderful...so should I be getting geared up for another bad day? He did have a few hiccups yesterday, he took my bio-oil and poured it all over 4 of his books! I was so mad that I had to walk away! I started crying and called JR who was kind enough to talk to me for about 10 minutes while I just bawled! after that we went to Lisa and Jasons so that he and his cousin Davin could have a play date! He did great there...I was nervous because of his behavior, but he was so good, he just played and played. I never got my grocery shopping done yesterday so, that is in the cards for today! Grrr... Tomorrow we will be heading down to our old stomping ground! Ha! We are going to a baby sale in La Porte, then we are going to hang out with some friends of ours, then stop by the old house to check the mail and stop by Nikki and Travis' to return the sander I borrowed to finish Landry's dresser, then we are headed to Galveston to see the puppies and then over to my Grandmother's house to spend some time with her! Whew! THEN, if Nikki and Travis are feeling any better we will go to dinner with them, and then we have to get back home to babysit Davin! Again....Whew! Talk about a busy day. Sunday I am pretty sure we will just stay home and sleep in and relaz all day! Sounds good!
I dont know if I said anything, but the swelling that started a while back ago, completely went away...in fact, I was all ready to show my doctor my feet about a month ago (she always looks for swelling) and the day I woke up to go see her....the swelling was gone! Anyway, it has come back full force....mainly just my right ankle, but I can feel the fluid retention in my calves as well. Grrrr. I have now officially stopped wearing my wedding band, but still wear my engagement ring (they are supposed to be the same size...but that's impossible since one still fits and the other doesn't!) I have 27 days left until Landry makes her way into the world. I am so excited! I hope we get lots of neat stuff this weekend. I was going to go by Target to get the carseat and stroller I registered for on Sunday, but since Saturday will be so busy I may wait until next week to do it. I am interested to see how my back seat will look with two car seats in it! Plus, I am trying to figure out how to arrange that, Do I put hers in the middle(the safest place) and his on one side, or do I put them each on their own side...A question I will be sure to ask my doctor and the people at babies r us. Anywho...thats it from me!
Have a great weekend!

Hump Day!
Yesterday was AMAZING! I got so much of the dresser done...not all of it, but a lot! Woo hoo! Logan really hates loud noises (such as a sander or vacuum cleaner) but he quickly got over it! Even though it is still damp outside, Logan came out and played and played and played, He drove his car around the yard, he drew on the concrete with chalk, he had a blast! Time got away from me, so when I realized how hungry I was, it was already 1:00. Logan and I went in, and ate lunch. He helped me clean up and put the dishes in the dish washer, then we worked on some puzzles and read a book together. I decided not to give him a bath, I knew he would be going back outside after he woke up from his nap. By 2:00 he was asleep! Woo hoooooooo! I went back outside and worked more on the dresser. At 3:30 he woke up from his nap. All was well. He was such a good kid all day yesterday, I could actually envision myself with two of them and I built up a little confidence in myself as a parent! We went back out to play..I took special time to draw with him and play with him, then I let him go on his own while I went back to sanding. JR got home and was little help!! LOL Actually I think that Logan had such a good day with mommy that he just didn't want to leave my side. I could have really used JR's help in keeping Logan entertained while I cooked dinner, but it was a no go, and I had to cook with him under my feet the whole time! Even then, he was a great kid! Then we let him go diaper free for a bit, and low and behold he started holding his wee wee...I asked if he needed to go potty and he looked at me and said "yes" I was in shock, I took him to the potty and he actually went! WOW! Proud mommy moment. He had a bit of difficulty controlling his wee wee, so some of the pee went awry but, the point is...he went potty and was aware of the fact that he had to go!!! YAY for my big boy! Later he got his bath and he even let JR put him to bed!** All was good in the Luck House!
**Logan doesn't really do so well when JR puts him to sleep...he usually doesn't really fall asleep and then runs back and forth from his room to ours.....He actually went to sleep last night, but did wake up about 12 and come to me. I ended up having to lay with him until he fell back asleep!
Today, I was hoping to have a repeat of yesterday...Ummmmm! NOT SO MUCH! He has been crying all day, I can't figure out what he wants, he has been throwing fits. Ughhhh, all the confidence I gained yesterday has gone out the window! I am already worn out! (This has also put some perspective into why I get so tired...maybe it isn't just the pregnancy, maybe it has a lot to do with Logan!) It has been a very hard day and its only 12:20 Grrr! Hoping that it gets better....I want the Logan from yesterday back again! No, he isn't running a fever, he isn't sick, he got plenty of sleep...I am hoping he is just getting hungry...but it certainly doesn't explain him acting like this at breakfast!

Dead Tired
I am now just a little over 4 weeks away from holding my baby! YAY! I keep having people tell me "I dont think you are going to make it" What is even more scary is when they say I wont make it to October....Ummmm. She isn't due until the 23, but because of my c-section I am having her a week early (10-15) So when people say I wont make it to October I just want to slap them. Are they trying to jinx me, do they realize that by saying that they are putting that vibe out into the universe for my child to be more than 3 weeks early? DO they understand the risks of premature birth.....okay okay, I know - I am completely being hormonal here, no one is wishing harm on me or my baby, they are more than likely just commenting on how big my belly is - which by the way is mean too! I know that no one is trying to be mean spirited...but I get so frustrated sometimes! Anyway, as I embark on the last 4 weeks of pregnancy I am starting to turn into a zombie of sorts. I get plenty of sleep at night, but the daytime is killing me. I start off really well. Logan and I have our morning talk and cuddle, then we play (I want the sun to come out so we can play outside!) We play and play, and by 11:30 I am ready for a nap, then I spend the next few hours, hoping Logan will lay down and take his so that I can take one too! I somehow seem to pick up just enough energy to get dinner ready and on the table and socialize with my husband, but by 9:00 I want to be in bed! I feel aweful because I didn't give Logan his bath last night.... I usually put him in the tub at 9:15 or so, sometimes a little later - but last night, I laid on the couch and started to rest, praying it would give me enough energy to give Logan his bath and I completely passed out! At 8:45 I got up walked to the bedroom and went to bed! Geez! It's not that I am doing anything strenuous...I am just really tired. I think I am going to up my dosage of iron pills....I am supposed to be taking 3 a day, but I only take 2, because of the effect it has on my stomach...I am going to hop it up to three and I guess I will just have to rely on some other meds to help with the stomach issues! Grrrr....I hate taking pills with a passion and right now, I take a prenatal, a DHA, two iron pills, and 2 fiber pills...AHHH! I guess we will be bumping up the fiber and the iron! oh Goody!
p.s. Logan will be getting a daytime bath today before nap time!!!!
Thank goodness JR gets to do it tomorrow night! I guess its a good thing he isn't super dirty, but still! I am disappointed in myself...what will I do when I have two of them?

weekend update
Ughh..another Monday has rolled around!!! This has been a very long weekend it seems like. On Saturday we went to our nephew's football game. It was kind of rainy...more like misty....but it wasn't cold or anything. It was pretty funny to watch 11 year old play football. They are all so adorable. The minute we got there, JR informed me that he COULDN'T wait for Logan to start playing. I laughed and had a visual image of Landry and I sitting in the bleachers for many many games to come! Then I thought, wait...she will probably be a little cheerleader! Oh Lord, what have I done? LOL After the game we ran home for a quick little cat nap then headed to Tyler's 11th birthday party at main event. They started off bowling, then went to play laser tag, then did hamburgers, cupcakes, presents, and then got a game card to go play arcade games. WOW! It is pretty crazy what kids do at birthday parties these days. My parents let me pick out 5 friends and took us to McDonalds for a happy meal and then we got to play on the play ground (of course I was 6), but as I got older, I had sleepovers and a matinee movie, and when I got even older, I got to choose a restraunt for dinner and may have even invited a friend or two. I hope I can afford all the new and exciting things kids do these days. After seeing how much fun those kids had, I surely hope to be able to do the same for my kiddos! Logan even got to bowl! He was adorable!
Sunday was the day JR had been waiting for---Opening Day for NFL regular season! The Texans have started the season off with disappointment, but I am still a fan. Its always the same...they start off bad and after they are no longer contenders for the playoffs they all of a sudden turn in to an awesome team....just good enough to keep the fans thinking they will be great NEXT season! Oh well. I will continue to watch, I am not a part time fan. I like them when they win and when they lose...but come on, winning is always better! Ha After halftime I got outside and started sanding the "new" old dresser. I only got 2 1/2 drawers done, but I'm hoping to get the other drawers done today and at least part of the dresser itself. The weather has delayed me quite a bit, and since it is still gross outside, I decided I could wait no more! I am excited to get it done. After a shower and a brief rest we headed over to Jason and Lisa's. Logan loves playing over there...the amount of toys Davin has is ridiculous...it like Logan gets lost in another world! LOL JR and Jason watched football, Lisa and I talked we had some chips and queso and some pizza. It was a nice evening!
Good weekend overall....ready for the next one! Hoping to go back and play with Davin today if he is feeling better...poor guy has a serious ear infection! :(
Hope everyone has a good week...Lets all hope it goes by quickly!

right or wrong?
If you ask your husband to "Please be more aware of leaving things laying around." one night and the next you say..."Can you please throw away your empty soda cans, and will you please start washing out your cereal bowl and putting it in the dish washer." then later that evening you say, "Oh, my gosh, how many times do I have to ask....please, wash off your dishes and put them in the dishwasher." then the next day (and by this time your pretty much annoyed as hell) you say "I am sick and tired of having to ask....PICK UP YOUR TRASH AND THROW IT AWAY! PUT YOUR DISHES IN THE DISHWASHER and stop making me ask you this over and over."
I have now been called a nag for two nights straight...ummm, am I in the wrong here? I feel as though my husband is trying to rebel. If I ask him to go left he goes right. If I ask him to help out with Logan he huffs and puffs. I thought we were getting some where. I thought we were going to make an effort TOGETHER as a team to keep the house clean, so why am I the one cleaning up every night while he is sleeping soundly in the bed? I know that we both make sacrifices and sometimes it is hard to see the other side of things, and as sooon as I calm down I will be able to see his point (at least somewhat) but I also consider this a respect issue. Seriously, how many times do I have to ask you to do something before you do it? And WHY do I have to break everything down for you. I can't just say, Hey I have had a long day and I cooked dinner could you clean up after dinner for me while I give Logan his bath....No, I have to say that, then I have to come back and say...Did you wipe down the table? Did you clean the stove? are the dishes in the sink or in the dishwasher? Did you put away the food? Did you do all the dishes or just forks and silverware?.....NOW THIS seems like nagging....And I dont actually ask all these questions, I simply go check, and whatever hasn't been done I ask him to do, which he usually gets around to doing the next day or the next or the next....or whenever I have asked him so many times that I am furious and cant see straight and end up doing it myself. We have been in the new house for two weeks as of tomorrow, and the first week he was great at helping out....and now, its like pulling teeth...back to the same old JR and I am tired of it! Does he think that I like bitching about all of this...I hate it, I wish I didn't have to ask at all...I wish it was just a habit for him. The fact is...we have another baby coming in five weeks and I am going to need some help! SERIOUSLY! He seems to be PMSing right now...he goes through it about once a month, he gets this attitude with me and he acts like I am asking him to bend over backwards or something. Does he not understand that I am tired too, I take care of a toddler all day, I do all the grocery shopping, I make sure the bills are paid on time, I run all his errands for him, I do his laundry (with the exception of every once in a while when I ask him to help me fold) I do the majority of the cooking...oh and I am 9 months pregnant. Am I seriously asking too much for him to pick up after himself? I know you cant teach an old dog new tricks and all, but geez a little bit of help, a little bit of compromise! PLEASE I am worn out, and it will only get worse from here at least for the next 6-8 months so why is it SO damn hard for him to help out?
Am I being hormonal or do I have a legitimate reason to be venting all of this?

Bored but busy???
We had pest control come this morning, I have been seeing a bunch of spiders and there are some sugar ants that I have seen. He said there were no fumes so it wouldn't be harmful to me of Logan, then he told me not to get on my skin and I thought...hmmm...so Logan and I met up with JR at the bank to FINALLY add me to the account, with my new last name. I got a check from my great Aunt for the baby and it said Sara Luck on it and I realized that everytime this happens I have to take my marriage license to prove that Sara Nelms is Sara Luck!!! So we took care of that, of course I still have the occasional person on my side of the family that sends something to Sara Nelms, but as long as it isn't a check it doesn't really matter! LOL Anyway, we cam home to eat lunch and look up where the closest Wal-Mart is and now we are headed out again and then off to Lisa and Jasons to let the kids play! I think JR and I are going to get the new stroller/carseat next week, so I am super excited about that. I wish money wasn't so tight right now...hell, if we are wishing, I wish I was rich AND had a money tree...Make that a money orchard, then I could buy anything I wanted, take my friends out to dinner, and help other people out whenever they needed it! Of course, if I had money I would probably end up loaning it out to everyone I know! HA This is the ONLY reason I am happy that we still have 5 weeks left to go...it gives us a little more time to make some of the purchases we need to make! This move has seriously taken so much out of us....but hopefully we will be back on track in a few months!
Still unsure if the thing I found on my stomach is a stretch mark or not....I am thinking it might be the beginning of a stretch mark, so I am watching it closely! I read in a baby book last night that at this point your ribs start to open up to make more room for the growing uterus and can cause your rib cage to expand up to 2 1/2 inches! Ummm...this, accompanied by tiny little feet that like to make their way under the ribs is what is causing the burning sensation and upper middle back pain I have been having lately! Something to look forward to....next week my heart will become dislodged and will move up and to the left so that I will have even MORE room! The female body is so wierd! Anyway...better get to Wal Mart before I decide to take a nap! SO SLEEPY!

Breakfast for dinner!
Yesterday was such a long day...I thought it would never end. I didn't get home until nearly 9:00! JR cooked scarambled eggs, biscuits, sausage and bacon last night for dinner and even had me call once I got to the exit so that my eggs would be fresh! So sweet! I got a great surprise...on my way home from Galveston, I stopped at Nikki's to pick up some mail, and I swung by the old house and there it was! MY BABY BEDDING! My old boss sent it to us as a gift for my baby shower, and I was worried that it would be sent to the old house..I called the post office and they assured me that all packages would be delivered to the new address...BS. I had a feeling that would happen so I am glad I went over to check! Anyway, got it home, got it washed, and put on the bed....Sure hope it really is a girl!!! Anyway, Logan was so interested in what we were doing and I truly think he is starting to get the idea that something is going on, but he just cant grasp what that something is...I seriously believe that just like having a baby, no matter how many books you read or how much advice you get, or how much you have babysat for others...you can't fully understand until you are in the throes of it all. I think its the same for explaining what is about to happen.. Anyway, Logan wanted to get in the crib, so we let him...I have read that if an older child is interested and curious you should allow them to try it....although they also said this about breastfeeding and there is no way in hell Logan is going to try that out again! Ummmm....NO WAY JOSE! He jumped around in that crib for about 15 minutes...he was so funny. I am trying to post the video on facebook now, so take a look if you get a chance. (Hopefully it works, if it isn't on there...check back later)
The doctor visit went well, she is predicting that this baby will be an average (7 1/2 - 8 lbs.) baby. My question then is why have I gained so much more weight? AND I think I found a stretch mark last night and now I cant stop looking! Ughhh! JR was so funny last night...Because of my busy day, my sister-in-law, Lisa, watched Logan for me...her husband, Jason (JR's brother) got home around 5:30 so Lisa could go to work, so he had the boys until about 6 when JR got there to pick up Logan. He called at 6:30 to tell me he was home and when I walked through the door at nearly 9, he went on to tell me what a pain Logan was being! Ummmm...not even 2 1/2 hours! JR and I switch off on bath nights....I do Monday and Friday, and he does Wednesday, so by the time he got around to giving Logan his bath, JR was so exhausted...He just couldn't believe that he had Logan all by himself, had to cook dinner, give the bath...blah blah blah....All I could do was smile and think FINALLY he got a little taste of what I do on a daily basis! Usually when JR has Logan by himself, Logan is wonderful, so this was the first time JR got to experience the exhaustion of Logan!
Also, I have now been told by several people that my son has a completely different personality when I am not around. Basically, when I am there, he turns into a little monster! What the heck! How do I get my child to be the sweet little perfect angel for me that he is for everyone else??? Ideas...Thoughts...Comments all welcome!

Busy day ahead!
I have a super busy day ahead which includes a trip to League City for a Doctor's appointment and a trip down to Galveston. The part that sucks the most is that my appointment in League City is at 2:15 and the appointment in Galveston is at 3:30 which means that if I left directly after the appt. I would be sitting in downtown Houston at 5:00...and we live 30 minutes north of downtown! AHHHHH so I have decided to use up some of my time by going to see my puppies over at JR's mom's house, then I am going to go by and spend some time with my grandmother! I haven't seen her in two weeks and I miss her so it will be nice to spend an hour or so with her. I am hoping to leave her house around 6 - 6:30 and then I will make a quick stop in La Marque to pick up some mail at Nikki and Travis' house! That should put me in downtown around 7:30 and hopefully traffic will have died down by then! We will see..I also have to go to Wal-mart, but I think we will save that trip for tomorrow!
September REALLY needs to pick up the pace...its only the 9th! Grrrr!

I see a bright light!!!
Well it is finally here! Other than an occasional night of not getting much sleep I have slept great through this final trimester...until now that is. With a smidge more than five weeks to go I am constantly getting up to pee which I am pretty sure is because the baby has "dropped." The books I have read say that this usually only happens with your first child and not until you actually go into labor with your second or third...hmmm...I never "dropped" with Logan and this time I have! WIERD! Also, I am nesting like crazy...the computer is the only thing keeping me from going to crazy! And, my body is definitely getting into the prepared state. Not only am I getting used to waking up to pee, but I have been getting up and not being able to go back to sleep for a couple of hours. Last night I woke up to Logan crawling in bed with us at 4 and I didnt crawl back in bed until 6! WOWSERS! I will probably pay dearly for it today, but we will see. The reality is that if the books are correct and baby's tend to keep the same sleep patterns they have in the womb, then I am screwed! I have to lay down several times a day after drinking some juice to make sure she is still moving...I get very nervous, but she seems to sleep all day long. At night, it's like she is trying out for the olympic gymnastics team.! So I guess I better get used to functioning on very little sleep, and I am sure my husband would greatly appreciate it if I could keep a smile on my face and good attitude through it all as well! LOL
My plans for the day are to do a load of laundry, sterilize baby toys, and Logan's toys, and wash the couch cushion covers. That should get me through the day...hopefully. Tomorrow will be jam packed full as well as the rest of the week. Next week will be boring again, but hopefully I can keep finding things to do!

This weekend so far!
Yesterday was such a blah kind of day. We did absolutely NOTHING! which in a way was nice, but my pregnancy is getting boring and I really need something to do! If I was still at the old house I probably would have spent the day cleaning or organizing something, but instead we are at the new house where everything is organized and put away! I love going to bed knowing everything is in its proper place, but how long it will stay there is a whole other issue! I suspect we will keep things clean and organized for about 5 maybe 6 more weeks....I can totally see things getting out of hand once the baby gets here! I walk around like a crazy person...and I am sure I am getting on my husbands nerves. I clean up after everything, I sweep almost daily, I have to tell the boys to keep there hands off the walls, and then come in behind them with a wash rag even when there isn't anything there! I even have Logan helping me clean up his toys every night before bedtime! Today has been a little better...we went to clean out JR's mom's storage shed, so now we have it in our garage! LOL The best part was that we all got up at the same time, so I made cinnamon rolls!!! Yummy! JR and I had 3 and I was shocked that Logan ate 2 all by himself. I am convinced he is going through a growth spurt with the amount of food he has been eating in the last several days! I am so exhausted, but refuse to take a nap...I did that yesterday and couldn't sleep at all last night. The aching back and burning ribs doesn't help much either! This week will hopefully go by quickly...I have JR home with me tomorrow, so that will be nice. Tomorrow will also be my niece, Isabella's 7th birthday! I can not believe how fast the time has gone by! Then on Tuesday I plan to get out all Logan's baby toys that I saved and clorox them! Wednesday will be busy from start to finish...I have to drive down to Clear Lake for a doctor visit, then to Galveston for a meeting, then I am meeting up with Delicia to pick out a cake for the baby shower, then I want to head to JR's mom's house to see my puppies and my dogs, then I will probably stop by my grandmother's house to check in on her and hopefully at that point traffic will have died down enough to not only let me off the island but to get me all the way back up to Spring, in which I will probably pass out...Oh, I also have to make a pit stop in La Marque to pick up some mail which my old neighbors have been kind enough to hold on to for us!!! ~Thanks Nikki! ~ On Thursday and Friday I plan to finish cleaning the toys and putting them in their proper places. Saturday is our nephew Tyler's birthday party at main event and then I will head back to Galveston on Sunday for my baby shower!!! YAY! I am super excited to get together with friends and family without my husband or son! I love them dearly...but the truth is, this may be the last time I get to do anything all on my own ~ at least for a while, and without packing a breast pump in my purse! Ha! Anyway, with so much going on this week, I am hoping that it goes by quickly. I have no idea what I am going to do after the shower...I guess I will go right back to being bored! This nesting thing is both wonderful and annoying all at the same time! LOL ~ I am ready for tonight....eating steaks over at Lisa and Jason's house mmmmm! I think I could really get used to having family so close!

Adjustments
This is my second pregnancy and as anyone who has had a child or had a friend or family member with a child should know, there are lots of adjustments. This time around there are certain things I am a little more prepared for, such as talking with JR ahead of time about what is expected of him and what he expects of me. This is extremely important in order to keep us from killing each other after the baby arrives. After all this time (nearly 2 1/2 years) it is still very hard for me to not hand over Logan and say "he's all yours now!" the minute JR walks through the door..this is hardest when I am extremely tired and worn out. I have to remember that JR has been working all day too and that he needs a little bit of down time. I sometimes feel that JR thinks that just because I dont bring in an income, that I am not working - which is SO not the case. Yes, I have a little more time to do things like blog or upload pictures, but I also chase around Logan. I am in charge of making sure he eats well, doesn't get hurt, obeys, gets disciplined when he doesn't obey, etc. My job is stressful too! okay...so anyway, the point is, with only 6 weeks to go, JR and I have been discussing what is expected from each of us, and we are trying to implement some of these tasks now, so that they are a habit when the baby comes. These are just little things but I am hoping it will help...especially in the early days of bringing Landry home. This is the part that I am most stressed about! If you have had a c-section, then you can understand the recovery period isn't what I would call fun! Trying to recover after having Logan was hard enough, but I am EXTREMELY stressed and scared of the idea of having to recover while chasing Logan and handling a newborn. I know it can be done, people do it all the time, but this is probably my biggest concern! The c-section is scheduled for Oct. 15 So JR is taking that Thursday and Friday off and the following Monday and Tuesday, so that will help a little and I am hoping that my mom will come and stay a couple of days - maybe a week and then take Logan back with her for another couple of days. Hopefully this will all work out!
Another adjustment is Logan...right now the poor guy is adjusting to a new home...which seems to be going better today, but he will have to adjust to a new baby in the house. In the last few weeks we have been around several newborns and he doesn't seem to pay any attention to them. He doesn't seem to mind me holding another baby at all, however; he did have a little issue with JR holding another baby! So that will be interesting to see. Another major adjustment is a schedule. We have never put Logan on a schedule. After he was born, we didn't force feed him, he ate whenever he was hungry...whether it was every two hours one day and three hours the next. We have always just let him go to bed when he was tired...unless it got ridiculous! His naptime has always been when he felt like taking a nap and as he had gotten older sometimes he goes without. Here lately though JR and I have decided that he might need some structure and it might be very useful to me with the new baby. So we have been trying to get him to go to bed at the same time every night..that isn't really working! But he has gotten better. I think the biggest problem there is training ourselves. Logan likes for one of us to lay with him for a while, and a lot of times JR and I aren't ready for that until 10. So we are trying to lay with him starting around 9:30...He keeps getting up and coming to our bed around 2 am, which is frustrating...but we are working on it. No matter what though we get up no later than 9 in the morning and I am insisting on a nap time...although the last two days he hasn't actually gone to sleep, I am willing to deal with that as long as he is laying still and is quiet. Anyway, the next 6 weeks will be full of more adjustments...it will definitely be interesting!

I'm back!
YAY! I am finally back! It feels so nice to have the internet back! JR and I were like a couple of kids fighting over a new toy last night! LOL! The house is STILL not finished but is going to be done by tomorrow (fingers crossed). It really should have been done by yesterday but I have been lazy. The only thing thats left is a few miscellaneous items that I dont know where to put yet! I had a really hard time hanging pictures...I have so many of them and with a new baby only 6 weeks away I am going to have MORE pictures. I was trying to limit the pics so that there was plenty of space for Landry's pics, so of the pictures look a little funny because I plan on putting one of her pics next to or under one of Logan's. OH well. I could have just done it one way and changed it all after she gets here....but A) I will be tired and B) I dont want to put a bunch of holes in the walls. Every thing in the house is new, it has been completely remodeled. New tile floors - which I though I would love, but are proving to be annoying to clean..I feel like I am sweeping everynight! - new paint, new electrical wiring....New New New, not to mention that everything is energy efficient! Woohoo...I am excited to see what difference it will make on the electric bill! I have taken some photos, but I am going to take some more and post them later, probably this weekend so you get a better idea of what things look like all put together! Anyway, it is good to be back!
