Whew...bouncing around!

OKay...I will catch you up on the last 3 days. A lot of this is random stuff
Tuesday - I did absolutely NOTHING. I woke up with a headache which soon turned into a Migraine. I filled out some online applications, until I was blinded then laid down on the couch. It is extremely difficult to watch children with a migraine...but watching them through the blind phase is even harder....lets just say my ears were put to good use. When I get a Migraine, I can always tell the level of what the migraine will be because when it begins I lose all peripheral vision. Basically I get tunnel vision. Now if this goes away with in 30 minutes after taking some medication, the migraine will be dull - last 2-4 hours before turning unto just a headache. I am still sensative to light a sound and especially smells - but it doesn't send me vomiting with each one. If after 30 minutes of taking medication it hasn't gone back to normal but it has stayed the same then I am looking at a 4-6 hour Mild migraine. This one means that nausea is a new symptom as well as the sensitivity to light, sound, and smell...and also touch. I can still somewhat function - depending on what I am doing and my surroundings.
Then there is the severe migraines, which have different levels of their own...but basically I go from to tunnel vision to complete blindness. The blindness usuall last for the first 1-2 hours. Any sound, noise, smell, or touch sends me vomiting, I ache all over, cold sweats....there are all kinds of symptoms and the migraine will last 6-12 hours. Luckily JR was able to come home and assist me...because I was completely blind and vomiting...gross. JR kept asking me if I was sure the reaction was normal...I think he was afraid I might have a brain tumor...I assured him it was just a migraine.
Wednesday - I was still recovering from the effects of my migraine, so I took it easy. I filled out some more applications and I watched stuff from the DVR...really I have about 2 weeks worth of shows that needed to be cleared, so I watched all my Oprahs and Dr. Phil's! Hahaha JR used my credit card on Monday night and didn't return it, so I spent quite some time looking for it...but never found it. I am irritated with that, so I had to move some money around to different accounts in order to use my other card. Grrrr! I started thinking about how far I would go to get a job...I teased JR that I would go work at a strip club...LOL His face was priceless! It was a joke - I am not that desperate. Then, at nearly 4:00 - I got a phone call that couldn't have come at a better time. It was PLuckers..which is kind of like a Buffalo Wild Wings. It was one of the first jobs that I applied for. I told JR that if I was going to wait tables, I didn't want to carry a bunch of heavy stuff...I really wanted something like buffalo wild wings so that it was more laid back and the heaviest thing to carry would be the drinks! So I am very excited that they called me. I have an interview today at 3:30 and I am praying it goes well! I am only planning to work 3 nights a week....hopefully on football nights where the tips will be better!
Landry is now climbing and standing all the time. I had a dream last night that she finally started walking but it was just a dream. She still shows no interest in walking. She did take two steps the other day...but has shown no other interest in it. plus she was so close to the couch that if she started to fall she could have very easily grabbed on. SHE IS CRAZY. She literally climbs the couch all the time...it drives me CRAZY! We leave the carseat in the living room, and she climbs into the carseat and sits there and plays. Anything she can climb in some way she WILL!
So here is the other thing. About 3 weeks ago, the house being built next door to us was finished. 2 weeks ago, the neighbors moved in. On the second night we were here...we quickly realized that they had a dog...it barked ALL NIGHT long. Oddly, I was pretty understanding, JR was ticked but I told him that the dog was obviously new to his surroundings and needed time to adjust. The next night the dog barked all night long. The next few nights, I heard the dog less...he would go in spurts, 5-10 minutes of non-stop barking followed by an hour of quiet. It makes sleep a little hard but, at this point I am not used to sleeping through the night anyway! LOL For the last two nights, we have left the windows open..and for some reason THAT DAMN DOG barked ALL NIGHT LONG. He finally stopped barking this morning at 6:30 and I haven't heard him since...the damn dog is sleeping all day! So I looked out the window to finally get a look at this stupid dog this morning....There are 3 dogs...they are all pitbulls! LOVELY! I was watching this morning though, and it was only one (the white one) that was doing the barking...and to make things worse, I swear to you that he was standing on the edge of the porch STARING up at our window and barking! I tried to deal with it...but another night of this will place me on their doorstep, ringing the doorbell at all hours of the night...maybe if the have to listen to the doorbell all night, they will know what its like to listen to that damn dog!

Friday night..and some awkwardness!

Okay, so I am going to talk about football - but if you can hang in there..I am also going to talk about something a little personal and awkward...
Well, The Wimberley Texans are now 4-0 with a mind blowing win over the Sealy Tigers last Friday night. The Texans dominated the game...and just when we thought it was over....i.e. the score was 31-17 with less than 2 minutes in the fourth quarter, we fumbled the ball on their goal line. THEY RECOVERED, then promptly scored making the score 31 - 24 with 1:03 on the game clock. We all knew it was coming, and if you know anything about football - you know what is coming...that's right - the dreaded onside kick. And so it came...and THEY RECOVERED the ball on their own 46 yard line. YIKES!!! 50 seconds left on the clock. They moved the ball quickly, got the first down, continued to move down the field. THey were one the 8 yard line (the red zone) 22 seconds left in the game. Yup you guessed it they scored making the score 31-30. All they need to do is kick the extra point to tie the game and send us into a sudden death overtime. The first team to score is the winner of the game. But shockingly, their kicker doesn't come out - OH GOD! They are going for the two point conversion. If they get it, they are most likely going to win, because their is only 11 seconds on the clock! So they go for it...I can't watch...their fans are cheering loudly our fans are cheering loudly...I am confused, but scared to look! How can both teams be cheering. I finally look up, the referee still hasn't signaled that it is good. Bodies are being lifted up from the giant dogpile...Texans players are jumping up and down signaling that they didn't cross the thresh hold of the end zone. Tigers players are jumping up and down and signalling a touchdown...the referees are huddled together. They dissperse and the entire stadium is quiet. Not even the crickets were chirping. The main ref is ready to make his call.....NO GOOD!!! Our side of the stadium goes wild....Their side of the stadium is enraged. Their head football coach is now in the middle of the field...a yellow flag is thrown for unsportsman like conduct against the coach. the coach picks up the flag and throws it at the ref, you can see his mouth moving, and although we are all too far to hear what he is saying...we all know it isn't pleasantries. Then the coach is in the referees face and he bows up and give the ref a chest bump...immediately another yellow flag is thrown...the coach is ejected from the game and is escorted of the field by policeman. Things get under control and people realize...there is still7 seconds on the clock. Sealy is lined up at OUR 10 yard line due to the penalties their coach burdened them with and they go for another onside kick..THEY RECOVER. 5 seconds left....I am certain the hail Mary is coming....it didn't instead a pass in thrown to their lead running back. He's at the 30, the 40, the 50....Oh God...is he going to make it all the way down the field. NO...He is finally brought down at their own 42 yard line! Whew! TEXANS WIN!!!
I think I have said before, and I will say it again...our special teams needs a lot of work! After the game, we went to the coaches after party. We stayed for about an hour before heading home. Everyone was pumped up. I finally got the scoop from my dad. Apparently two of the refs said that the kids knee was down at about the one yard line and then he lunged into the end zone which is why the two point conversion was no good. Apparently Sealy's head coach got the first flag because he was warned...he wouldn't leave the field, he was making racial slurs and threats to the ref. The second flag and ejection came of course because the coach made physical contact with the ref. There was debate of whether or not my dad would ever get ejected from the game had the roles been reversed....I absolutely believe the answer is no. All the coaches agreed...the only person who did not agree was my mother! Ughhh. First of all, my father doesn't use swear words...second, he would never make racial slurs...EVER! Third, he would never ever make physical contact with a ref. Now, my dad gets caught up in the heat of the moment when he thinks a ref isn't making the right calls, and he will walk a little ways on to the field and let them know he didn't like a call...but then he promptly turns and wakls off the field (usually as he continues to mumble under his breath, LOL) My father has gotten called for unsportsman like conduct...twice. And both times it was a very heated point in the game, and both times he apologized to the team and to the parents after the game was over. My dad has been coaching football for 28 years...and never been ejected from a game...so no, even if the roles were reversed, I do Not believe my dad would behaved in the same manner that the Sealy coach did. Also, I think he should have to go before UIL, THSCA (Texas High School Coaches Association), and his own school board...because there should be no tolerance for his behavior...but that's just me. I was very proud of the Wimberley fans though. Our stadium is set up in a way in which the opposing team has to walk past us as they head to the locker room. Most of the Sealy Tigers were crying...but there was an overwhelming amount of parents, fans, and wimberley football players, that went over to some of the Tigers as they made their way to the locker room. They would tell them what an amazing job they did, what a great game it was and wished them luck in their season! I love small towns!
So here goes the personal and awkward. I lived in Wimberley and worked for the school district for three years before moving to Galveston. I started when I was 19 and left when I was 21. During that time I met a guy ( a coach) we dated, and later became engaged. Things seemed great at first, but I wasn't really happy. I was more happy about not living with my parents than I was about living with this man, Josh. It wasn't a good situation and overtime, I started to realize that I wasn't in love with him and marrying him would be the worst mistake of my life, and cruel to him. So I broke it off and moved to San Marcos for about 6 months before heading to Galveston. Well, Josh still works for my dad. He is a coach, so I knew at some point we would run into each other. He completely avoids me at all costs. At the last after party we went to, he walked into the room I was in, turned and quickly secluded himself to the outside area. He wont make eye contact with me. It is really wierd. Now I might understand his behavior, except that he is married now. Dont get me wrong...we are going to be good friends or anything like that...and yes, it is a little strange. But I think it is more strange to keep bumping in to each other, going to the same parties, and not ever speaking to each other. EVERYONE in the room knows the situation, and while some of the men act funny..the women just seem to shake it off as...lets move on! WIERD! Aren't women supposed to hang on tight to the past...and men let things go. So anyway, Friday night, I finally just decided to go for it...I said hello to him at the game. He said, Hi...and turned and walked away! I was happy that his wife was at the after party. My mom introduced her to my sister, but gave me this look like go away...WHY!??? So I sat across from her. Made conversation with her. She was lovely. When the women gathered in the kitchen we were both there and able to carry on conversation with both each other and the other women...who all know about Josh and me. Then I went outside with my sister just as some of the coaches were arriving. Josh arrived....Randi who was laughing at me for making his wife even more uncomfortable decided to join in, by saying, Hi Josh! he said Hello Randi, but said nothing to me. So before he turned the corner, I said How are you...he replied, good and walked throught the door. LOL Not, I am good how are you...just good, and then ran away. Now, I am not purposely trying to make them uncomfortable, I just figure...lets just address it and move on, so there doesn't have to be this wierdness every time we are in the same room. I am married, have two beautiful children and am happier in my life than I could have even imagined. There are no regrets that I have. I made the right choice in ending the engagement and I never even really think about it, except when I see him and he ignores me! He got married this past summer, and they seem to be really happy....so can't we just be happy that we didn't make the mistake of getting married, and we each found the right person to be with? I dont know...maybe I am looking into this too much. I just hate feeling like someone else is uncomfortable because of me. I thought maybe I just wouldn't go to the party afterwards, but my mom and dad acted as if it hurt their feelings for me not to be there! Anyway....I think I am just going to continue to make small talk, continue to say hello, and maybe one day (in 5 years) it might be ok! Anyone else ever run into an ex and his significant other because you are both still in the same circle you were in when you dated???

BLOG

OKay, rambling thoughts...try to stay with me! JR is going back to school! There are a few things that we have to do to get him back to school, but he is so excited and I couldn't be more proud. We have talked about it before, but never really moved forward. I know that having his degree is something that he aches for, so although I have NO IDEA how we are going to do it - WE ARE GOING TO DO IT! (Has anyone noticed, that I have done extremely well on my New Years Resolution to stress less??? Well, I have!) Yes, him going back to school will delay my plans of going to cosmetology school, but I am okay with that. My very first thought when he said that he was thinking about it again was, "What about me?" But then I realized that it was selfish, and he can go a lot further in his career with his degree, when I haven't even begun to start mine yet. So eliminated the thought from my head and replaced it with support and pride.
Today, I went to get the mail....we live in a suburb where the mailbox is not directly in front of your house but there is a cluster of mailboxes for the entire street, so if you get a package they put a key in your mailbox that opens a larger box....Well I actually got a key in my mailbox today......interesting!!! So I open it up to find a packaged 8 oz. can of Enfamil next step! We just started buying that kind!!!! It is for babies 10months and up and we literally just bought our first can 2 days ago! How funny. Before I had Landry I had signed up with enfamil and Nestle Good Start, the two brands I used with Logan. Nestle was sending me coupons from the time Landry was about a month old, but I never received a thing from Enfamil. I gave my coupons to a friend, because at the time I was still nursing exclusively and I didn't want them to go to waste. As many of you remember, when Landry was 3 months old, I tried to give her her first bottle - It didn't work out...I wasn't too upset, it just meant that JR and I had to cut our evening short so I could get back to nurse her. Then at 6 months I was ready to start the weening process and stop nursing...that was a no go as well. At 7 months I finally started to consistantly give her a bottle every day. I still had the Similac formula they sent us home from the hospital with so I tried that...NOPE. For about a week straight I fed her formula out of a medicine dropper..only a few ounces a day thinking that maybe she just needed to get used to the taste of it. Finally I bought a small can of Nestle and tried that for about a week - NOPE! I also bought every bottle brand known to man, thinking maybe it was the type of nipple or the shape of it...Then I bought a small can of Enfamil And VOILA!!!!So she has been drinking enfamil out of the playtex drop-ins with a Latex nipple, every since then. About a month ago, I decided I would try to get HEB's store brand formula to see if we could save $10 a can....but no - she wasn't having it, so oh well, Enfamil it is! So when I sent JR to the store to get formula and he came home with Enfamil Next Step....I was like - take it back....its not the right stuff. I was thinking that she had to be over 12 months to use it...JR was trying to convince me that she was only a month away, and what could it hurt...ughhh! MEN!....when I saw at the bottom that it was for babies ages 10 months and up. I made her a bottle - and there were no problems! Woohoo! So the point is, that my daughter is 11 months old and I just recieved my first set of coupons and a free 8 oz. can from Enfamil...dont know why it took them a year to start sending me stuff, but I am thankful it finally arrived. If any one you know plans to use Enfamil for their baby tell them to sign up the day they find out they have conceived!!! In fact, it wont hurt to sign up for all the different types of formula...just in case the baby only likes a certain kind!!!!

hmmmm.....

Yesterday seemed to drag on and on. For some reason I woke up today thinking it should be Thursday...thats how long yesterday seemed to be! It wasn't a bad day, it was just long. Landry was a bundle of obnoxiousness! I say that in the most loving way. I was trying to get a lot done around the house and she was following me around, hanging on my legs, and crying for me to hold her. She also got her first hand spank from mommy!!! Ughhh....she has been pretty good thus far. She actually listens, and can be distracted. Logan did neither at this age. If he wanted to do something and I told him no...there was no stopping him. If I tried to distract him - I failed....but Landry is another story. First, let me say that I am beginning to believe more and more that she is a bully! She picks on her brother constantly, and I dont know if he is just too scared of hurting her, or if he's scared that he might get in trouble, but he just takes it. After a while, he will start crying because she just wont stop, but he never hits her or does anything to her - its really funny at first, but the poor kid, I just feel bad for him. He will yell at her and tell her, "Sissy, stop it" or tell me, "Mommy, get sissy!" but he never tries to hurt her, and I am thankful for that. Every once in a while he will actually pick her up and carry her over to me and gently put her down, then roll his eyes, and say, "Mommy, hold sissy!" It cracks me up. Anyway, Landry got her hand smacked because she would not stop trying to climb the tv stand! NOT SAFE! I told her no several times, and she wasn't listening so when she did it again on the 4th time I smacked her little hand. It wasn't hard...more like firm, I think it scared her more than anything - and oh my gosh did she cry! It took everything I had not to scoop her up and give her kisses, but I simply said - NO CLIMBING and removed her from the area. She cried for about 30 seconds before starting to try to climb the couch! Ughhhh At least with the couch there is nothing she could pull down on top of her and nothing around her to hit her head on. So, as I said it was a long day.
A few weeks ago, Landry stood on her own for the first time...(for more than a second) she was holding on to JRs legs and would let go for about 3-5 seconds and just stand there. Since then, NOTHING! UGHHH But out of nowhere last night I was giving her some cheerios and we were both sitting on the floor. I got up to make a bottle and had left a few cheerios on the tray for her to eat and keep her busy. She would pick up a cheerio, then stand up and eat it, then squat down grab another cheerio and stand up again! I was so excited...she did it again a few times today, and I am hoping this means we are getting somewhere and that she will be walking soon! I am not really concerned about it, but I am excited for it. She has been cruising since 6 1/2 months...so I thought for sure she ould be walking by now...but she has shown no interest, so I guess we will see!

Easy Breezy weekend ahead!

Last night JR and I took the kids to La Vernia to my dad's football game! THey won again, making them 4-0 for the season, but that could all change next week as they will be playing Sealy! As of now Wimberley is ranked #2 for class 3A and Sealy is ranked #3...So it will be a very big game. I am a little worried because the last 2 games have been blowouts. The score last night was 35-21, but dont let the score fool you...Dad put in his second string about midway through the 3rd quarter. My dad is a stand up guy, and would never run the score up on anyone, so since we were winning 28-0, he decided to put in the second string players that dont see a lot of playing time. The weather was nasty. It was hot and humid, but it drizzled throughout most of the game...and there was about 10 minutes of steady rain...it wasn't a heavy rain...but rain none-the-less. I was surprised when my aunt, and cousins showed up! I was so happy to see them, however; didn't really get to spend a lot of time with them between the game and the kids!
So far, all we have done today is sit around and watch college football! We need to tackle a few chores....especially the laundry, but I have resigned myself of household chores for the day. The laundry can wait until tomorrow!
Tomorrow...as I said, will be busy getting the laundry completed, but we are headed to our friends, Chris and Katy's house for the Texans game!! While, I am still excited about football season, I am starting to remember why I get so burned out about midway through. It's football on NFL football on Thursdays...high school football on Friday's (although I will never tire of high school football), College football ALL DAY saturday, NFL fooball on Sundays and more NFL football on Monday nights! 5 Days straigh of football, and two days off!!!! No wonder is get bored with it after a while! LOL
Anyway, happy weekend to everyone, hope you all take the time to relax a little!

What is going on?

#1 - I think I have checked my blog about 6 times between yesterday and today...and not many people seem to be postin anything (thank you Alexa for keeping me updated)! I keep up with many of my friends through their blog, which is funny - because I use my own blog as more of a therapy session to just say whatever it is I am thinking and dont ever think that people actually take the time to read all my crazy talk! LOL BUT I love reading everyone else's blog....its almost like a part of my blog therapy! hehehe So, get with it people, I need to know what you did yesterday and today! LOL - just kidding...I mean, I really do want to know and I can't wait to read the blogs, but I also know that everyone is busy, and sometimes you just can't squeeze in blogging! Hope to hear from you soon!

Yesterday's photo shoot went pretty well. Getting a family picture was a lot like the chinese torture drip! It felt like water slowly dripping onto my forehead over and over! Logan either looked angry or he just wasn't looking at the Camera at all. JR complained the entire time..."This is so dumb." "This is ridiculous." "How many more photos are we taking." I told him if he would just shut up, pretend to be happy, and do what was asked of him over the hour, he wouldn't have to take another family portrait for another year! He agreed.....but he still complained! Oh well. I am excited to see the finished product of all the photos...There are some good ones of the family....just not with all of us looking at the camera. There is a really cute one where Landry is grabbing Logans face...so I just told JR to just look at the kids...So JR and I are looking at them and they are looking at each other...it is pretty cute. After about an hour and 15 minutes we wrapped it up..I decided not to out her back in her pink tutu, but instead just give the photographer my camera card and let her take it and edit it. There were some really good pictures on it, and Landry already had to be changed into 5 outfits....she was sleepy so I just said...ehhhh, forget it! Because she was so sleepy she was kind of stone faced....there weren't many smiles....instead there a lot where she is just staring at the camera! whew! Oh well....I still think she is the most adorable thing on Earth!

It's HERE!

Today is the day! I am so excited and nervous all at the same time! Landry's photo shoot has arrived! I can't wait. I just hope everything turns out okay, and that we can get some good shots! She is absolutely perfect, so I think it will be okay. I am more nervouse about the family photos. Logan doesn't always do well...especially for posed pictures, he has a low tolerance for having to sit still and smile on cue. I mean, he will say cheese, but getting him to hold the smile is difficult at best. I really hope we can get some good shots. I think I am prepared....but I have some bows to make, so I better get to it! Wish us luck!

much better

So today, we hit up JC Penney's, Hobby Lobby, and Stitches and Such...and the kids were really good. Landry was a little fussy when her nap time arrived, but she took a short nap, and I got home as soon as I could and quickly put her in bed. Logan did a great job. It was a good thing I was on a mission...I knew exactly what I needed, so I just looked for it, got it, and got out of there. Logan wanted to play his own version of hide and seek at the store - ughhh, that child...So he would go behind a rack of clothes (while I could see his feet the entire time) and he would say - Mommy, where are you? I would respond with "I'm right here!" Then I would jump around and tickle him! We did this the whole way in and out of the store! It was actually kind of fun. Once we got to Hobby Lobby...he got a little irritated that there were no clothes to hide behind, so we played red light, green light...Again we did this the entire time we were in the store. We took turns, where I would say red light, green light. And then it was Logan's turn! Then we stopped at stitches and such to pick up Landry's outfit! ADORABLE
It turned out to be a good day! Now I am just getting everything ready for Landry's photo shoot tomorrow! YAY!

almost tomorrow...

Okay, so it is 11:30 at night, so it's almost tomorrow! Today, I took the kids to the mall! I absolutely hate going to the mall, but off we went. We weren't there long, because, as usual, it was hell. Landry was upset to be in her stroller. Logan was crying because HE wanted to sit in the stroller...I knew I should have gotten a double stroller when I was pregnant with Landry, but JR insisted that it was a waste of money.
"They aren't much more expensive than a single stroller." I said
"But Logan knows how to walk, and besides he will just want to help you by pushing the stroller. It will be useless." He responded.
"Well, if he doesn't want to sit in it, then we will have a place to put shopping bags!" I try to persuade him, as I put a big smile on my face, because I absolutely want a double stroller, but see that I am losing this battle.
"I really dont want to get it. I dont think its necessary, and look, it will be more trouble than it's worth you won't even be able to get it between the aisles. We hardly ever used the stroller with Logan, and every time we try to use it, he cries and only wants to push it. I think its a waste of money. I think you should just pick out a stroller you really like, and we can put the extra money towards something else." JR has just won this battle.

I remember the exact conversation we had, because I insisted that we would need the double stroller. I even tried talking him into the ones where the kids sit in front of one another instead of beside each other....but nope, it didn't happen. So, let me just tell you - GET A DOUBLE STROLLER!!!!
#1 you will use the stroller far more when you have two little ones, than when you only had one
#2 they can keep each other company while safely secured in the stroller
#3 one will inevitably get jealous of the other. Either because one gets to walk around, instead of being trapped in the stroller - or because one gets to lay back and enjoy the ride instead of having to walk all over and try to keep up.
#4 with both kids in the stroller, you are free to go at which ever pace you want...want to take your time and look around - great....trying to get in and get out - Awesome! You are the one to set the pace!
#5 Both kids are in the stroller....you dont have to worry about the toddler running off, or holding his hand as tight as you can and as close to you as possible as you walk through the dishware section - and he is yelling at you to let go of him!
GET A DOUBLE STROLLER
As I was saying, we weren't at the mall for long. Landry was cranky - turns out she has a low grade fever, however; I believe it is from cutting teeth - we will see. Logan was complaining that he wanted to ride in the stroller - so I was holding Landry and trying to navigate my way through the mall while holding her in one hand and pushing my heavy child in the stroller with the other...I did NOT like it. On the upside, I got Logan a new pair of jeans and a few shirts. I also got Landry some new outfits, and I ended up finding a boys button down white shirt that I am going to try to put Landry in for the family photos....I also bought her a little white long sleeve onsie...so we will take photos in both and see which one looks better. I was also able to find a belt for myself. I ended up wearing it out of the store, because I had no hands to continue pulling my pants up.
Tomorrow, I will probably hit up the outlet mall, to get JR a white button down, and myself one, I also might check out JC Penneys. I have to go to stores that have a Big and Tall section for JR, and I know the outlet mall has a Casual Male...or something like that - I can't remember what its called, but I have to go to San Marcos tomorrow anyway because Landry's cheerleading uniform is finally complete! YAY! I am going to try to make it to Hobby Lobby, but a few things I have learned...
A)running errands is very difficult with a child.
B)Running errands with more than one child is even more challenging.
C)Running errands with more than one child and NO DOUBLE STROLLER is TORTURE!

today

Today is going to be a busy day! I am headed to the dreaded MALL! But I need to get Landry and Logan some new clothes! I am excited, but I hate doing it because I always seem to overspend. YIKES! I am going to the mall because I need to get the entire family some clothes to wear for our family photo shoot! I am thinking of jeans and white button ups for the family, but it will be torture to try and find some sort of button up shirt for Landry! So I will probably change my mind and end up with something else, but I am going to try. JR also needs a new pair of jeans. I need a belt, until I can get my jeans altered. Can you believe that I dont own a belt? I guess I have never needed one! hmmmm. After the mall, I am headed to Hobby Lobby for some ribbon so that I can make some matching bows for her new outfits. I have really enjoyed making her bows!
Then to HEB for some grocery shopping...but I am hoping JR will be home by then so I can drop at least one of the kids off before I hit up the grocery store. He had to work again at 2 in the morning so I am hoping he will be home around noon, althought he will probably want to sleep.
Last night, Logan came and slept with us. Ughhhh....we decided that we didn't want him watching movies to go to bed anymore, and it worked out fine the first couple of nights, but last night I guess he crept into bed with me at some point after JR left. HE went to bed on his own, but I guess when JR left at 1:30, he might have woken Logan up, because when I got up this morning at 7 he was in the bed with me. We Can NOT let this become a habit. We will see how it goes tonight.
Landry's cheerleading outfit, will be completed tomorrow. I could not be more excited. She is such a doll. My mom tells me every time I see her, "She is not a doll, Sara. She is a baby, and a baby is not meant for dressing up like you would a doll." I dont really care what she says....I like to dress her up in cute outfits, and seriously....who goes and buys bland clothes for their baby girl? No one! I dont even know where you would find t-shirts for a baby girl! LOL I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, but there is plenty of time for that later, and Landry can make up her mind on her own. If she wants to be a girly girl....then I will be happy with that. If she wants to be a t-shirt and jeans girl, then I will be happy with that too. Ultimately, its her choice...but for now, she cant make those decisions, so I am going to enjoy dressing her any way I want for as long as I can!

screwy

okay, so I dont know if anyone else is having a problem, but my blog is really really screwy lately. it wont let me log in...I have to try multiple times...ughhhh. It is very frustrating.
My dad went to the emergency room on Monday night. Turns out he has 4 kidney stones, and they ran some blood work to see if something else is wrong. The stones are too big to pass and will have to be blasted. He goes in Monday morning at 7:30 for the procedure. While it is an in and out ROUTINE procedure, please say a prayer for him. I dont know what the blood work will tell us, but I am worried about my pops. This is his 8th trip to the ER this year due to kidney stones...that seems really excessive to me. While he admits, to not drinking enough water, I feel as though this could be a sign of some sort of kidney failure...I dunno, I am not a doctor. The point is, I am worried about him.
Last night we headed to the football game, I picked up Landry's cheerleading uniform and it is darling....although once I started to really look at it...well, it has a few issues. #1 the top fits a little funny, #2 the bloomers are BIG. All in all it is still precious, and will be even better once the monogramming is finished on it! Woohoo. So back to the game, we were winning 28-0 at halftime, so JR and I decided to head home. The kids were tired, I was exhausted and JR had to be at work at 1:00 AM...Ugghhhhh. But, it was a pretty boring game, the other team wasn't very good, so we left. The final score was 48-7...so I guess we didn't miss much.
Today, we went to my great aunt Carolyn's 75 birthday party. It was at her assissted living home...and I was so happy to see her. I guess the new meds she is taking are working because she was doing really well with remembering peoples names...and there were A LOT of people! Carolyn's grandson Brandon, and his wife, Angela, were there and they brought their daughter, Addison. She was born on the same day as Landry....so it was really nice to let the babies play together...or so I thought! Addison weighs a whopping 28 pounds compared to Landry who weighs 18. Addison is also about an inch and a half taller (Brandon is 6'6" and Angela is 5'10") so it makes perfect sense that they would have a tall child...but they are also rail thin....and this baby is "healthy", LOL! At first, they girls were both shy, but once we put them on the floor to crawl around and explore, Landry went after Addison! She pretty much tackled the poor baby! It was funny at first, but I was worried about Addison. I guess Landry is used to having her brother around. Logan is so gentle with her, he lets her sort of tackle him and crawl on him...but poor Addison didn't know what in the hell was happening. Also, Landry has learned to give kisses, so at one point she grabbed Addison's face and started kissing her all over her face. Addison was mortified, so I had to keep Landry from tackling, and from grabbing Addison's face throughout the rest of the day! Too funny. They ended up having a lot of fun with each other....I mean, other than Landry's constant attempts to attack Addison! By the time we were saying our goodbyes, Landry started crying, and I realized that two of her teeth must have broken through within the last day or so. Neither of my children show any signs of teething. They might be a little bit fussier than usual, but honestly not enough to notice, so I was a little shocked! Anyway, such is life! I was so happy Landry had a friend to play with. Logan and Bubba played together the entire time and Isabella had her cousins Anna and Kelly...so I was very happy Landry had someone her age as well! It was a really good day!
On the way home, we dropped off Landry's cheerleading outfit to get monogrammed.....should be ready on Wednesday. I told the woman who made the outfit that I would be bringing in a stack of jeans for alterations...None of my jeans fit anymore, and I can't afford to buy a bunch of new jeans, and I can't keep pulling them up all the time...looking like droopy drawers...so I am going to go have them taken in! In other news, I am still looking for a job! Grrr...and planning Landry's first birthday party! I can't believe it is only a month away!!!! Anywho, hope everyone has a good weekend.

Almost there

We are almost to Friday. Ready for Friday night football again! We have another home game, this week we will play Smithville! They are a bigger school so hopefully we can pull out another win making us 3-0! I think its funny that after the games I hear some of the parents talking about having another undefeated season, or going to state again...I mean, my Dad is the head coach, of course, I would LOVE for these two things to happen. Yes, we seem to have a good team this year, but just because we have won two games, ....well, lets just not get too far ahead of ourselves! I dont mean to sound negative...I want my dad and his players, and the town to have another state championship, but I just dont like to jinx things either! LOL When it comes to sports, or pretty much any type of game in general I become very supersticious. In fact, I just read a friends blog and she talks about the same thing...I have to say that I completely agree with her in the fact that it makes me feel as though I have some sort on control over something I have NO control in. LOL I believe in saying the same "Let's go Blue" when its 3rd down and we are on defense and they only need a few yards for that 1st down. Anyway, I am pumped...not only that but NFL football starts tomorrow and we got to listen to the Aggies win this past Saturday. I LOVE football! I can't wait for more! LOL
I still haven't heard from the seamstress, but she asured me that Landry's cheerleading uniform would be completed by this Friday...then I have to get it Monogrammed, so the final product won't be finished until next weeks game......but at least it will be finished in time for her pictures!
JR, had to drive to Dallas today, for work.....had to drive all the way up there and will be home tonight, the weather is nasty, so please say a prayer for hi safe return home!
Happy hump day everyone! We are almost there!

puhpuhpuhpoker face

For the last week or so now I have founf an addiction to online poker...CRAZY, I know, but I may need to find a gamblers annon...SOON! It is consuming my dreams! LOL I have actually placed in several of the tournaments I have entered and seem to getting better. I am due to play in another tournament in about 10 minutes, so I will make this fast.
Life has been busy this last week. I have been here and there and yonder. Friday night was the Ranch road 12 shootout...Highschool football! We played Dripping Springs and although we have lost the last two years in a row, we beat them 33- 14!! Woohoo! After the game we went to the Coaches after party and had a really good time.
Saturday was spent doing some house chores and lots of playing with the kids. JR had to go into work for a half day, but it all worked out well. We had a really good day.
Sunday, was more of the same, except that my rib cage was popping more than usual. Then the wierd painful breathing set in and the only thing that makes it better is to pop my ribs....except they wouldn't pop. Grrr...I finally was able to get it to pop, but it took me lying flat on my back while holding landry in the air and bringing my arms straight back slowly, almost making her kiss the floor.
I googled it today, apparently it could be part of arthritis...I MUST go to the doctor for some sort of preventative care. ESPECIALLY since we had a storm blow through today, dropping the temperature only 10 degrees, and I feel as though my knees, hips, fingers and neck all the way down my spinal cord, and my ankles feel as if they are splintering off little tiny shards at a time. It is dreadfully painful, and even though I am so incredibly tired, I know tonight will be hell! Bring on the pain meds! Ughhh!
Tomorrow will be back to the work week, and JR will be gone again:( which is just sad to me, but more so I think it will be sad for Logan and Landry. Logan and JR have been working on tackling drills, playing soccer, practicing swinging the bat and kicking a soccer ball! I think Logan has had more fun with daddy this weekend than in a VERY long time. Landry, has also gotten used to having daddy home. she has been following him around, wanting to sit in his lap. She seems to be wanting cuddles from daddy more than mommy, and I LOVE it!
