OKay, rambling thoughts...try to stay with me! JR is going back to school! There are a few things that we have to do to get him back to school, but he is so excited and I couldn't be more proud. We have talked about it before, but never really moved forward. I know that having his degree is something that he aches for, so although I have NO IDEA how we are going to do it - WE ARE GOING TO DO IT! (Has anyone noticed, that I have done extremely well on my New Years Resolution to stress less??? Well, I have!) Yes, him going back to school will delay my plans of going to cosmetology school, but I am okay with that. My very first thought when he said that he was thinking about it again was, "What about me?" But then I realized that it was selfish, and he can go a lot further in his career with his degree, when I haven't even begun to start mine yet. So eliminated the thought from my head and replaced it with support and pride.
Today, I went to get the mail....we live in a suburb where the mailbox is not directly in front of your house but there is a cluster of mailboxes for the entire street, so if you get a package they put a key in your mailbox that opens a larger box....Well I actually got a key in my mailbox today......interesting!!! So I open it up to find a packaged 8 oz. can of Enfamil next step! We just started buying that kind!!!! It is for babies 10months and up and we literally just bought our first can 2 days ago! How funny. Before I had Landry I had signed up with enfamil and Nestle Good Start, the two brands I used with Logan. Nestle was sending me coupons from the time Landry was about a month old, but I never received a thing from Enfamil. I gave my coupons to a friend, because at the time I was still nursing exclusively and I didn't want them to go to waste. As many of you remember, when Landry was 3 months old, I tried to give her her first bottle - It didn't work out...I wasn't too upset, it just meant that JR and I had to cut our evening short so I could get back to nurse her. Then at 6 months I was ready to start the weening process and stop nursing...that was a no go as well. At 7 months I finally started to consistantly give her a bottle every day. I still had the Similac formula they sent us home from the hospital with so I tried that...NOPE. For about a week straight I fed her formula out of a medicine dropper..only a few ounces a day thinking that maybe she just needed to get used to the taste of it. Finally I bought a small can of Nestle and tried that for about a week - NOPE! I also bought every bottle brand known to man, thinking maybe it was the type of nipple or the shape of it...Then I bought a small can of Enfamil And VOILA!!!!So she has been drinking enfamil out of the playtex drop-ins with a Latex nipple, every since then. About a month ago, I decided I would try to get HEB's store brand formula to see if we could save $10 a can....but no - she wasn't having it, so oh well, Enfamil it is! So when I sent JR to the store to get formula and he came home with Enfamil Next Step....I was like - take it back....its not the right stuff. I was thinking that she had to be over 12 months to use it...JR was trying to convince me that she was only a month away, and what could it hurt...ughhh! MEN!....when I saw at the bottom that it was for babies ages 10 months and up. I made her a bottle - and there were no problems! Woohoo! So the point is, that my daughter is 11 months old and I just recieved my first set of coupons and a free 8 oz. can from Enfamil...dont know why it took them a year to start sending me stuff, but I am thankful it finally arrived. If any one you know plans to use Enfamil for their baby tell them to sign up the day they find out they have conceived!!! In fact, it wont hurt to sign up for all the different types of formula...just in case the baby only likes a certain kind!!!!

Food for thought: if JR goes back to school, you can defer any of his student loans. Might make it easier for him to go back! Any chance his job would help pay for it?
It's all really exciting!
Yes, his student loans will be deferred - but we were hoping to just continue to pay on them even while he is in school, BECAUSE he will be getting more student loans in order to go back. So, we thought if we kept paying while they aren't growing any interest, it will be better off in the end. YES! we just got confirmation today that his work will reimburse him 80% of the tuiition!!!! So, we are excited about that. In fact, I think we are just going to take the 80% and put it all towards the student loans he has now and dwindle it down...he still owes 12 grand, so we will be probably just pay it off in time to take out more student loans for the kids! LOL
Actually we have a plan to just keep paying it and take half of each years income tax return and apply it towards the loan. Plus, I pay an extra $50 each month...its not much but it helps!
