Really quick, I have mentioned my hatred for the pediatrician's office that I take Landry to...I love the doctor,....but I hate the office. It is poorly run and I cant stand it. So I tried to find another one that I liked...and when time ran out I decided that I would go back to this office just one last time...just to buy me another 2 months before her next immunizations...So I call to make the appointment last week and they tell me I have to wait until Thursday Dec. 17 to make the well child visit. WHAT??????? I dont understand, so I try calling this morning...they open at 8 I started calling at 8:15. BY 9:00 I call JR and get him to start calling as well...Neither of us could get through...."All circuits are busy" is all we heard.....so I call the insurance provider in hopes of finding another primary care provider through them...of course, now Landry is already 2 months old and noone is taking appointments until the new year.....JR FINALLY gets through, and makes the appointment for Jan. 6 Grrrr...Meanwhile I find another Pediatrician who will see her tomorrow at 3:30. I hate to go to an office that I haven't staked out yet, but I really want to get her immunizations done ASAP! So I am going to try it out and see how it goes...UGHHHHH!
By the way - Landry slept for 8 hours straight last night! Although, I still woke up at about 4:30 due to a massive headache! Ughhh! Looks like we may be moving her to her crib soon....I figure if she sleeps through the night for at least 4 nights in a row, then she is ready! We will see tonight if it was just a fluke!
Shopping - Last night JR and I went to do our Christmas shopping....we got what we needed and got home. I am glad that part is over....except that we didn't buy any bags or wrapping paper! LOL oops! Just as well though, I will do it tomorrow - I am nervous to have gifts under the tree...I think Logan would open them! Ha
Now back to Landry - I spent the day yesterday trying to give her a bottle....I think I tried every brand .....I gave her "the First Years -Soothie" "Parents Choice" Evenflo" Advent, Dr. Brown's and Ventaire..........I am going to stick with the ventaire and Dr. Browns...only because she seemed to do semi - okay on those. She HATES bottles! We are going to a Christmas Party on Saturday night and the kids are going to the sitter, so it is kind of important for her to get the whole bottle thing down....The biggest draw back to this is that it means that I am pumping again! I haven't been pumping for about 2 1/2 weeks....So now I have to pump, save the milk, and thaw milk from the stock pile! THe good news is that I am replacing the milk that I use with "newer" milk. Less Waste! So I am going to keep at it today and tomorrow and all day Saturday until we drop her off! Hopefully today goes better! I am still nursing her at night, though last night there wasn't much nursing....She nursed at 12:30 and didn't wake up again until 8:30...I nursed her then too....but now it is back to the bottle!

What the new year will bring!
Every morning this week , Logan comes in to my room and gets in bed with me at about 7:00. Thus, waking myself and Landry! Then I have to get up with Landry and by 9:00 when she finally starts to drift off....Logan wakes up! Grrrrrr! I am sleepy. I love it though....not the being sleepy part, but the part that I get to spend time with JUST Landry, and then when she goes to bed its JUST Logan and me. I love that they each get their individual "Mommy time".
I realized last night that I am definitely leaning towards having another baby. Not any time soon, but maybe in about three years! Landry is so sweet, I love this stage. I remember getting so frustrated waking up in the night with Logan... not all the time but I remember it being harder. Of course Logan was sleeping through the night by 4 weeks. Landry is nearly nine weeks old and still gets up for a feeding in the night/early morning. She can sleep about 5 hours straight....six every once in a while! I think I was frustrated with Logan because I had to get up, feed him a bottle of breastmilk, and then go pump, which took about 30 minutes because I only had a single electric instead of a double. So I was much more tired back then. Getting up with Landry doesn't even bother me....I am only awake for about 10-15 minutes. Anyway, she is just so sweet, and so happy. She smiles all the time...she is cooing a little bit, but not much...when I talk to her she just smiles...I love it. I love watching her smile in response to JR.
Anyway - I was thinking about this past year and what events took place and what the new year will bring. This year, I was married, took my first trip to Vegas, spent an entire week away from Logan (twice), had a beautiful baby, lost my grandfather, moved to a new house in a entirely different part of the city, made new friends, potty trained my son (still in progress), and while the list doesn't seem like it is that long for 12 months...it is plentiful. 2009 brought so much joy and some heartache as well, but I am excited about the new year to come. I have some amazing news to share, but that will have to wait for at least another week or so.....(nope, I am not pregnant! ARE YOU CRAZY - it is WAY to early for that...I said in three years!) When I think about this time next year, I think about the fact that Logan will be almost 4 - can you believe it? Why does 4 seem like such a bigger number than 3? Tears actually come to my eyes when I think about my baby boy being a 4 year old! I still can't say that he is almost 3...I always say 2 1/2...LOL! Landry will be a year old and will probably be walking all over the place...I imagine her even now....Her hair braided or in a ponytail or pigtails with a big bow, with JR and I hanging on her every move, totally enamored with our princess. Logan helping his sister with presents and getting irritated with her too. (I am not delusional!) While I can't wait, I also just want to enjoy every second with my kids and my family. Logan is growing up so fast, he can be such a stinker, but so full of love as well.
I can't believe JR and I will be celebrating our one year wedding anniversary in March, or even our 4 year anniversary Feb. 2. CRAZY! This is going to be an amazing year...I just can't wait. We have so many plans....plus I think that financially we will be in a better place. In March we will be getting rid of two major bills...due to our income tax return....we get to pay off some debt - which will be awesome!
Well - I am done with this crazy blog....if you cant tell - I am super excited about the coming year!

'Tis the Season
Man...I had a busy weekend! Friday night JR had his company Christmas party, but for some strange reason they did employees only...STUPID! So my friend Tina and I took our kids to see Planet 51! I have been aprehensive about taking Logan to the theater, but I decided that he could handle it and was very impressed! HE was wonderful! He has gone before but he was much smaller and he didn't really grasp the whole concept of a movie! So this was his first "Real" theater experience. I cant wait to take him again...Alvin and the Chipmunks comes out Dec. 23 - He is so excited...we will be there.
Because of the movie, he went to bed a little later...about 10:30 - but I figure its the weekend so oh well.....big mistake....he was such a cranky butt!
Luckily...I didn't have to deal with him. Saturday morning I got up, got Landry and myself dressed and we headed to Galveston. My mom was there visiting my grandmother so we went to visit as well. I didn't leave until almost 7 so I was there all day pretty much. We had plans to meet up with some friends for dinner, but they fell through. JR had taken Logan to some other friends house (Brendan and Beano) so I ended up driving over there to hang out for a bit. We left around 11:00 - So this was night #2 that Logan didn't go to bed a bedtime:( He fells asleep before getting out of the neighborhood...but still...off schedule!
ON Sunday I went to the mall and got a shirt for Logan for our Christmas pictures, came home - set up the camera and took the pics. They didn't really turn out as well as I had hoped...but it was really hard to get the kids to both be looking at the camera. Logan is such a clown that that made it harder. When I take pictures of him - he always wants to be doing something funny, so it is difficult to get him to just sit still and smile! He kept saying cheeeeeeeeeese and then would laugh histerically! Grrrrr. Oh well! After picture we went to dinner with JR's brother and his wife and son. At 8:45 I said ----AHHHHHH! we gotta go...we hurried home to get Logan into bed...missing bedtime by about 20 minutes! Which didn't matter because he REFUSED to stay in his bed....I stayed calm for most of the night, JR and I taking turns taking him back to his bed over and over and over again. But when JR turned in for the night and Landry started crying, it was too hard to do both! I was carrying her around, trying to drag Logan to his room! I finally put her in her swing and let her cry while I laid with Logan for about 10 minutes. I had hoped she would stop crying....NOPE. so I got up to get her, and Logan got up behind me...I tried to lay with both of them but Landry couldnt stop crying. Finally I got Logan to lay still in his bed and I got Landry to fall asleep. It was nearly 2:00 when I got in bed...ahhhhh!

Schedules and Vacations
So JR and I have talked many times about setting a schedule for Logan....not so much an all day schedule, but a definite sleep schedule. ONe thing about having more than one kid, is that you get to look back and say...hmmm, I would really like to do this differently. Dont get me wrong, I have no regrets, and I know that I did the best I could and I am in no way ashamed or feel as though I did something WRONG...I just want to do it different! Bedtime, is one of those things. I have never had a set bedtime for Logan, nor a set nap time. He sleeps when he is tired and thats it. Yes, that means there have been nights that he goes to bed at 3 in the morning and doesn't wake up until 1 in the afternoon. (rarely...but it has happened) Anyway, I have had insomnia pretty bad lately and it finally caught up with me last night...so I said hey, seems like a good time to start this bedtime thing we have been putting off! So we all went and got in bed at 8:00 did our night night rituals..story time, cuddle time and by 8:30 Logan was OUT! It was a nice evening we watched "Shrek the Halls" with Logan...and I recorded it, so when we got in bed at 8 we let him watch it in our room AGAIN for cuddle time! Then off he went to his room and off to sleep! IT was great...JR and I stayed up until 9:15 and went to bed as well. Logan got up at 11 last night and wanted to play...I guess he thought he was just taking a nap. I kept all the lights off and I laid in bed listening to him until he was silent (about 12). THen I went to check on him and he was still awake, but he was laying in bed with his covers on watching a movie...I guess he figured out that no one was getting up! By 1:00am he was in bed with us...GRRRRR! At 3:45 JR picked him and took him to his own bed...at 3:50 he was back in our bed GRRRRR! JR decided to sleep in his room! LOL Now last night was a little early...I would like his bedtime to be at 9, which means that we have to move everything up...such as dinner and bath time and story time and cuddle time. But if we set bedtime at 8, then JR has very little interaction with the kids! HE doesn't get home until 6, so it would just be more practical to do it at 9.
We went to dinner over at our friends Bryan and Tina's house on Tuesday night and I was amazed at how at 8:50 Bryan told his kids to go brush their teeth and get ready for bed...and off they went, They came back in for kisses in the their pj's and at 9 he said "Bedtime" and off they went again! Kyler, their 7 year old son, was pretty good about staying in his room...he kind of yelled out that he couldn't fall asleep, and Bryan told him to just lay there with his eyes closed! LOL Kaylee, there 5 year old daughter, was a little more brave about getting out of bed and coming into the living room....She needed kisses, and then she needed some water, and then she forgot to get a hug! IT was pretty funny to here her excuses for coming in the living room! I asked Tina if it was like that every night, and she said NO...only when they have company...other than that they go straight to bed....I thought...I want that!
Now, moving on to Vacations! JR and I have decided that we cant wait until our anniversary to go gambling. So we are planning a trip to go very soon...we are just having to save some money first, but I think its doable. We are planning on doing a day trip to either Coushatta or L'auberge....THere is a place down the road from where we live (they actually have 3 locations) and do casino trips...you pay $5 for the trip there and $5 for the trip home and they give you a $10 food voucher! Awesome...it leaves at 9:00 in the morning, but I dont know what time it comes back....but hey...no hotel, no gas....and several hours of fun...not to mention...you can drink as much as you want because you dont have to drive back! Woohoo! I think we may get a group of friends together. Dont know yet....first we have to come up with about 4-5 hundred dollars! Honestly, I could probably go with just $100...It would most likely last me the entire day...JR would probably need about 3oo! His philosophy is spend money to make money...and my little 5 and 10 dollar bets dont really go together! But I just want to have fun...and I would hate for us to both lose all our money and then just be sitting there waiting for the bus to come get us! LOL!

My wonderful Life...
So what's going on with me??? Let me tell you... I am enjoying my wonderful life!
Logan is 95% potty trained...at least when it comes to peeing...we haven't even hit on the pooping thing! LOL That will come! He is getting bigger and bigger. He is such a sweet big brother. He still has his moments and can be a giant pain in the butt sometimes, but he is in that terrible two's phase. Although he is only terrible when he is throwing a fit! He is learning compassion, which I think is great. He knows that when Landry is crying she is sad and he wants to help. He loves helping with the dishes and laundry...as much as I love him helping...I dont particularly like it when he helps fold the laundry...because he usually just unfolds it. He is still whiny, but we are working on it!
I am waiting for Landry to be 13 pounds...which is according to literature and her pediatrician, the weight that babies are capable of sleeping through the night. She still sleeps in our room...I dont want to move her to her bed until she can sleep through the night. I have insomnia right now which keeps me up all night and then I barely get any sleep, and then I am tired all day, but I STILL cant go to bed at a descent hour...it is crazy! I haven't been pumping at all lately..In fact the last time I pumped was 5 days ago. Its nice because I finally have my milk supply to exactly what it needs to be for Landry, so I dont have a whole lot of excess..but I kind of like the idea of excess. Landry still eats every 3-4 hours, which has me wondering if maybe I should pump on the last feeding of the day, and give her formula...or maybe do half formula half breast milk from a bottle...I think it would keep her full longer and maybe stretch her sleeping pattern a little bit??? The problem with this, is that she doesn't drink from a bottle very well. I know that I have mentioned this before. I keep saying I am going to try to get her used to it, but that would mean that I have to pump and stop breastfeeding...and I dont want to do that. I guess I could pump on every other feeding and let her have a bottle...the thing is, that when I give her a bottle, and she doesn't take it (and believe me I can try for 20 minutes) I end up having to give her the boob...and if I pump, well there isn't any milk in the boob! I know I know....try the bottle, first, then pump after she eats...
Anyway, JR and I are in the hole again...not really - we are about dead even...meaning we have no spare money, which I consider "in the whole"! This means Christmas will be scarce! Luckily, I talked to my mom about it and we are in agreement, Christmas will be for the kids ONLY this year. JR and I are going to do Christmas cards for friends and family and get the kids gifts. I have to get to the mall soon, so that I can go to Hallmark...I need to get Landry a "Baby's First Christmas" ornament.
JR and I are also planning our one year anniversary!!!! It is still 4 months away....but we cant wait, and any extra dime we have is going to our trip! We thought about going back to Vegas...we would love to, but that will be put off for another time...or another anniversary. We thought about going on a cruise..but that too will be put off for another time. Instead we decided to pay off my ring.....and go to L'auberge Du Lac in Louisiana. We really want to gamble and I have never been there...plus it will be much less expensive - hence we will be able to pay off my ring...with the help of our income tax return, of course! We have been paying on the ring for over a year and a half and we still owe nearly $2,000 so it will be nice to not hve that monthly payment anymore! I have been thinking about what I want to do for our anniversaries to come....Next year I want to go to Ruidoso and go snow skiing....there is also a great casino at Inn of the Mountain Gods! Maybe we can do a cruise for a 3 year... we will have to find something for the 4th and maybe go back to Vegas for the 5th! Hmmmmm......I might be getting ahead of myself!
Anyway, I know it is still 4 months away, but I am super excited!

Snow!
It is snowing tremendously outside! I can't believe it! I am loading a video on facebook! I can not believe how much is coming down and how quickly it is doing it! IN just 8 minutes all the houses and cars in the neighborhood were covered in snow! I will post some pics later when we go play, but first I wanted to post this one of Logan in his pajamas and house shoes...I took it this morning when we got up! He is so funny! He loves these little house shoes! They were a good buy!

Progress and Colic
So here is some more about my kids! Lately we have been working on words, colors, animals and their sounds, and asking instead of whining. Logan's vocabulary has expanded immensely and I am very proud of him - sorry for the bragging but....it has taken him a really long time to talk, which has been something I have seriously worried and worried and worried about this. Anyway, I am very proud of him. We have bought these little leap frog movies and flashcards and it seems to really be working. The hardest part is making sure that we work on it every day. Sometimes it is hard to find the time, but somehow I always do...I have only missed one day in the last 20, not too bad. Next, his colors. He is doing well with the colors, but he does better with green, red, and blue, which is fine...we just keep working on it...this week he seems to be really getting black and white! His animals are coming along but the sounds are a little harder...he knows dog, cat, duck, cow....thats about it. Last, Logan has a horrible habit of whining when he wants something...he will go to what he wants and stand there and whine and if we ignore him he will come to us and whine in our face!! So we have been working on him asking for what he wants instead of whining....we are making progress...THANK GOODNESS. Now a new thing he started doing without us teaching him or trying is singing...or humming. This is absolutely ADORABLE! I tried to teach him the words...and we are still working on it, but his favorite song is "Row, Row, Row your boat" He can say Row and Boat...the word "Merrily" is a little harder. His next favorite is Twinkle, Twinkle little star....he says "Winkle, Winkle 'hum' STAR, 'hummmmmmm' ARE, hummmmmm SKY..." pretty cute!
On a side note - The other day I was in the kitchen in which I had a major mishap - and I said very loudly "Fu**, Fu**, Fu**" in which my child came behind me and repeated the word! UGhhhhhh. I very quickly apologized for saying it and told him that was a big people word and he couldn't say it. Luckily he hasn't! Obviously, I need to be more careful about the words that I say, however, I dont believe in completely not using bad words. Growing up I remember my mom cursing all the time...not so much my dad, but every once in a while he would let one slip...but we always knew that we weren't allowed to say the words and we didn't. I remember the first time I ever cursed and actually knew what I was doing, I was in 8th grade. Anyway, I do think that my child is a little young to differentiate between big people words and kid words, and I do believe in watching what you say...I definitely dont want every other word out of my mouth to be a curse word, and I will definitely be trying my hardest not to say them at all...but I know that one will slip here and there, and I hope I can teach my children the difference between words they can say and words they cant.
Now...on to Landry - (this is shorter) Yesterday I kept Landry awake at the beginning of the day, then let her back to her sleeping. I woke her up 15- 20 minutes early than what she usually wakes up and I pushed her bath time back about an hour and I did it before a feeding instead of after...to my pleasant surprise she went to sleep so easily! On a down side, Logan took a two hour nap and didn't go to bed until 11:30! I read some suggestions on how to quiet a colicky baby (which is what I have diagnosed Landry- Colicky) Anyway, they seemed to work last night...now lets see if they can continue to work! JR went to bed last night at 7:45 so I better get to sleep in this weekend! HA

Silly Kids!
So I finally went to bed around 1:20 - I could barely keep my eyes open and I was so frustrated. I woke JR up and he took the next shift with Landry. He said he was up for about 45 minutes. He said he tried everything under the sun and finally decided to swaddle her and let her cry! He swaddled her and just walked around with her while she screamed and tried to free her arms and about 3 and a half minutes later she was asleep. We really dont swaddle her very often and about 3 weeks ago she seemed to not like it, so I stopped doing it completely. THe thing is that I dont want her to rely on any one thing...I dont want to set up a habit that I have to break later...but this little princess is stubborn! Just like her dad and brother! LOL Anyway, she slept from 2 until 6:30, but luckily I was able to get some sleep. Poor JR, he also slept from 2 - 6:30, but he also got an hour before I woke him up...still 5 1/2 hours just isn't enough. I would love to say that we will go to bed early tonight to make up for it, but I know that wont happen. So maybe I will let him get extra sleep this weekend! I hate to walk around with her, or rock her, I would like for her to find her own way to go to sleep...again I dont want to start any of these habits! JR asked me last night if she was too young to "cry it out" I said yes...I am not ready for that yet, but I am running out of options! Tonight I will try the binky I guess....I am really at a loss. She has absolutely no problem going down during the day...in fact she can fall asleep anywhere...her crib, my arms, her swing, the sling....virtually anywhere, with no assistance, but something changes in her at night!
Logan is doing great...but - he has a hard time being quiet. He can sometimes be very loud which is a problem when he is yelling right next to Landry. We certainly dont keep it quiet around the house during the day, which is something else I have thought of (maybe it is too quiet at night when she is going down for bed time?) But he can yell and wake her up...at night it is the other way around...Logan goes to sleep in his own bed, then Landry wakes him up with her screaming and he goes and gets in bed with JR! Ughhhh...It is becoming a pain....literally, I have a crick in my neck!
So I am working hard to keep Landry awake today...I thought back on when Logan was an infant and I remember him going through this same crying thing, except that his started at 4:30 and lasted until about 6:30. I dont mind the crying, I know sometimes we just need to cry but I wish Landry would pick a different time of day to do it!
Logan is now addicted to cereal!!! He eats 2- 4 bowls every morning, we got him cheerios because we didn't want him to get all sugared up! Ha. It really is insane how much he likes it! My biggest issue is that I dont want him eating cereal all day...I would like him to eat other foods, but at the same time I want him to eat! He still eats a good dinner so I am not too worried about it, but he usually skimps on lunch...then again he eats a lot of cereal at around 10:15 so by 1:00 he probably is still full! I dont know if I am doing the right thing or not...I guess that is the hardest part of being a mom....Am I doing it right? I question myself all the time. I know that I have done the best that I can though and I guess as long as I can say that, then I am doing it right!

HELP!
OKay, so it is 12:39 and I am still awake! I am having a very hard time getting Landry to bed. The thing is, she is wonderful ALL Day and early evening, but starting at 10:30...ahem, bedtime!...she turns into something else. We usually keep her awake from 7:30 to 10:30 and then we all go to bed. Correction - JR and Logan go to bed, Landry and I are up until around 2..she sleeps for about 3-4 hours, sometimes 5 on awesome nights! She eats and goes right back to sleep. She does this until about 11 - 11:30. So my idea is to try to keep her awake after her 9:00 feeding...which is when I usually spend my cuddle time with Logan and I am very skeptical about moving this. This is designated "Logan" time! But I dont know what to do. It seems like she just has to have this crying period but....and I swear...she can be totally fine in the dark in the living room, but the minute I take her to the bedroom and lay down the screaming starts! IT is driving me crazy...I want to go to bed with the rest of my family! I have read two books since Friday...I am running out of things to keep me awake.

Whew!
Hmmmm... where to begin -
Thanksgiving was wonderful! We went to Galveston and hung out with my family. I love being around all of them. It was exactly as it was supposed to be...except that there wasn't enough dressing...I went back for seconds and it was gone! Ughhhhh....there was a whole other pan but I didn't want to be the first to dig in, so I waited around for someone else to do it....NO ONE did! Grrrrr. LOL anyway after eating we watched football and sat around talking. It was perfect, everyone ooohed and ahhhhed over Landry. I loved it!
Friday JR and I went and did some shopping....and we bought our first Christmas Tree!!! LOL I laugh about this because I can't believe it. We didn't do a Christmas Tree last year...I didn't really see the point since we wouldn't be there and I didn't want to spend money on it. The year before that, we lived in the apartment off Nasa and we had a little 3 foot Christmas tree that was fake! The year before that we were in the apartment in Galveston....anyway...we bought our first Christmas tree....It is a beautiful LIVE tree that we picked out with the help of Logan! It smells so good! I didn't think about it until after we got it home but you are supposed to be careful about live trees with new babies because of allergies....luckily it isn't an issue! I often forget about allergies because I have never had them. I mean I get the occasional watery eyes, headache, and stuffy nose thing every once in a blue moon....but as for serious allergies - not me!
My Dad's football team also won on Friday advancing them to the Regional quarter-finals! This is very very exciting....they play this friday in Waco, and I would love to go, but money is tight! Grrrr....
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and playing our new wii!!!! I love it! We spent a little bit of time cleaning on Friday, Saturday and Sunday,....and my house is clean!!! YAY! For the most part though we were either playing Tiger Woods golf or Wii fit!
It was a great 4 day weekend!!!
p.s. Landry weighs roughly 11 pounds!!!

Laziness!
I have been so lazy lately...my house is getting out of control and I know I should be cleaning instead of blogging, or playing on Facebook, or reading my book, or watching TV...but I just dont want to. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have traveled for the last three weekends in a row, and Tomorrow morning we will be going to Galveston...its only about an hour and a half but still I am so sick of being on the road! I desparately need to go to the store...I just put on my very last breast pad and it is imperative that I go get more other wise I will leak...but I just dont want to get up and get the kids ready and get myself ready...man! What to do what to do...I guess I will have to get up eventually! I wish I had a personal shopper!

Perfection!
In 2 days my little girl will be 6 weeks old! I am having such a hard time with this! A lot of moms would be getting everything ready to go back to work - I seriously cant imagine this! I know that JR and I talked about me going to work when she was 6 weeks old, but I am so thankful that it isn't a necessity. Sure, it would definitely help financially, but it isn't imperative! I am in awe of those who do go to work with little ones. They are incredibly strong women and should be told so more often, in my opinion. Dont get me wrong, it isn't always peaches and cream staying at home..but I am thankful none the less!
As I nursed Landry at 7:00 this morning I completely took in all of it. How incredibly perfect she is. How sweet and innocent and perfect. There are no other words to describe her except perfection. She is just starting to get some pudge on her tiny little thighs, and her little butt is starting to round. Her eyes are so blue and when she smiles it is as if the whole world stops just for her. She is an angel. Her hands are so little and I cant help but think of the future. There is so much I want for her, for us. My mother and I never had the best relationship growing up- It is sooooo much better now but I look at our relationship and wish for something different with my own daughter. On the other hand, my mom and my little sister have always had the BEST relationship and I want that for Landry and I. Anyway, I just wanted to say how thankful I am for my life and how amazing it is!

Life is Good Today!
Okay, so it is only 10:00, but life is good today. "Ask and ye shall receive," (a famous quote from the Bible) is apparently true. I worked hard to keep Landry awake more during the day, and it paid off...she slept for 3 1/2 hours between each feeding. Usually it is somewhere between 2 and three from the start of one feeding to the next...but last night I got 3 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep..TWICE! It was so needed. after her 7:00 am feeding I didn't know if I should stay awake or try to push for a little more sleep...I got back in bed! LOL This time she only slept until 9:15 but still....I got to sleep in until 9:15 YAY. I woke up singing!
It truly is amazing what a little bit of sleep can do for you. I am revived. No more complaints! I have a beautiful house - although the floors could use a cleaning - I have a hard working, good providing, sometimes selfish (but aren't we all), loving husband - and two beautiful children that bring smiles to my face every day! They are precious angels.
Logan is doing wonderful at potty training which I still haven't pushed....but he gets up in the morning and takes off his own diaper and goes to the potty! I am kind of just sitting back and letting him do it on his own but I guess I will have to crack the whip soon....but I may not have to really do anything at this rate...he seems to have it down. He can take off his own pants when he needs to go...I am very proud.
I have about 12 pounds that I still need to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight...for me...it isn't so much about the number as it is how I look. Before I got pregnant I was losing weight and even though I knew the pounds were dropping I didn't really realize what I looked like until now...I have pictures of when I was 4 weeks pregnant....and I was actually pretty skinny. Funny how I didn't realize it back then. Anyway, I am still about 2 months away from being able to do any kind of sit-ups due to surgery, but JR and I are both trying to lose a few pounds...hopefully a few inches too. He still has his membership to Bally's so he started going on Monday and taking Logan....The plan is to go Mon - Wed. - Fri. and then go to a local school on Sat. as a family and walk on the track while Logan plays on the field. Anyway, while JR and Logan are at Bally's I get on my gazelle at home. Landry either sits in the swing or I "wear" her in a carrier. Both times JR has taken Logan though have been ugly....the first time the daycare people waved JR down because Logan wouldn't stop crying....and yesterday, JR didn't even get to work out because he couldn't leave the daycare room. I told him he just needs to drop him off and walk away...but oh well. So I guess I am going to start keeping Logan here...which makes it hard for me to work out....but I may be able to get it done in the mornings before Logan gets up....we will see!
I am leaving town tonight to go to my parents, and another Friday night football game. I am not really sure that I even want to go...I dont want to be on the road and I dont want to be away from home...but I already told my mother I was coming and she is looking forward to it, so I guess I have no choice! Oh well...I will enjoy it no matter what! Today's gonna be a good day....Today's gonna be a good good day!

FYI: Complaining Involved
Okay...a real post...just to let you know there will be some complaining involved!
So Landry is 34 days old. Things are going well. She just started sleeping in the co-sleeper 4 nights ago and is doing fine. No big issues really. Logan has slept in his own bed the lst 2 nights...great stuff!
Most of you know that I am nursing Landry. Everything is going well and has been, I truly love the bonding that I get from it and I love knowing that she is getting the very best. There are some definate down sides too, but I have decided that the good outweighs the bad and I am going to do it for as long as possible...or for as long as I can stay sane. After 33 nights of feeding her, I have started to get a little run down. To make things worse I started getting a sore throat, headache, and my ear has been bothering me. Clearly I need some extra rest.
Enter Complaining---
Last night, I fed the baby, then went to pump, then went to sleep...I put some fresh breastmilk in a bottle in the fridge, so whe she woke up for her first feeding I asked JR to go get the bottle...he did...with no complaints...BUT when he got to the room and tried to hand me the bottle, I explained that HE would be feeding her so that I could get some sleep. He went ballistic. He was yelling about it not being fair and now he wasn't getting to sleep....I was shocked and hurt that he could be so selfish. I understand he has to get up early to go to work...and I probably should have just stuck it out until the weekend...but I am going out of town this weekend and he isn't coming with me...which means I still wont have any help. I mean really??? 1 night out of 33, am I really asking for too much? Plus, its not as if I was asking him to take her the whole night...just one dang feeding so that I could sleep for 4 hours straight. I dont know...more than anything I am hurt by this. I was angry at first but, I am just so upset. I feel like I dont matter to him. The last two days I have done so much, from making breakfast (blueberry muffins and apricot scones - from scratch) to making dinner, doing dishes, laundry, taking out trash, cleaning the living room every night....I just thought I might deserve a little break. I guess not. I understand that a mother's job is never done...I get it really I do, and I shouldn't be complaining because maybe JR has had some really hard days at work and he is overly tired too. I dont know...maybe I am the selfish one for being upset! Who knows, all I know is, whether its right or wrong, my feelings are hurt.
Now...Part of the reason I am so tired. - Landry is really good...SERIOUSLY. She sleeps a lot, which is very helpful, but at night...she sleeps for about 3 hours and then wakes up to feed...but starting at about 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning she starts waking up every 45 minutes....This is very hard on me. Again...I shouldn't complain, most people get up before 6 every morning and go to work. So really I should just be happy that I get to sleep until 8:30 every morning, even if I do get woken up constantly...and again...this really hasn't bothered me until now and I am sure that the only reason it is bothering me is because I am so tired. I just feel like, if I could just get some good quality sleep...maybe a good 4 or 5 hour stretch, I would be rejuvenated enough to go another 33 days....and maybe by then she will be sleeping for longer periods of time!
Or maybe...I just want too much!

been a while
So its been a few days since I have posted a blog. So in order to catch you up...
Friday - I went to my Dad's football game with Dana last Friday. I took the kids..I had hoped it wouldn't be too bad. Logan was such a pill! But in his defense, he was on the road for over 8 hours. He sat behind me and cried for forever...it was so sad. He finally fell asleep only to wake up calling Mama, Mama, Mama...I had to reach behind and hold his hand until he fell back asleep! The football game was amazing, we played Glen Rose (which is where I graduated from). We won in the last 16 seconds of the game!
We play Iowa Park this weekend (which is where I grew up...6th grade - junior year, and my older sister graduated from). I am going to take the kids to my parents on Thursday and we will stay the weekend.
On Saturday, we did a whole lot of nothing...we didn't get home until after 4 a.m. so we spent the majority of the day sleeping. We did take a trip to target and do a few other things.
Sunday, I did grocery shopping and seemed like I was busy all day long!!!
that evening we went to eat at Steel City Pizza. We met up with Jason, Lisa, and Davin and as we were leaving Davin said he wanted to go with Uncle JR....so he came home with us and stayed the night! It was Logan's first slumber party! It went really well!
Yesterday, we had lots of fun...I made blueberry muffins from scratch, we all went outside in the COLD weather to play football...well except Landry...I left the door open and she staying in the living room!
I have so many errands to run...and I was all about getting them done yesterday, but got too busy, and today I am just too lazy! LOL
Anyway, thats about it!
Landry is letting me know she is hungry...OH yeah, she is sleeping in her bassinet now...more on that later, I gotta go!

Weekend plans
I am getting ready for yet another football game!!! Woohoo...Dana is on her way to the house and we are going to be brave and take the kids to our Dad's football game! JR is going to go have a boys night with some friends...and if all goes well, I am determined to have a Margarita!!! mmmmm!
Tomorrow we are going to The childrens festival, I hope that it is fun for Logan...we will see. I am having a "mother/son" day with Logan on Sunday and we are going to watch Disney on Ice. So exciting!
Then on Thursday we are going to meet JR at the Children's museum. We have never been so I am excited to go. I got a really cool magazine at the doctor's office...It's called Houston Family Magazine, and they put all these different things that are going around Houston. So If you are interested you can look it up and request a free copy. Anyway, there are a bunch of things that seem like fun that are free to do...Such as, Every Thursday night is Family Night at the Health Museum and at the Children's Museum...It goes from 5-8...who knew!?!
Also on this Sunday is Free admission at Fall Festival...There is all types of events, from Pioneer Day to different places that hold story times...It really is cool, and I look forward to taking full advantage of it!
Its gonna be a busy weekend...hope you all have a good one!!

Another day!
Last night was HORRIBLE! Something was going on with Landry...I fed her at 11:30 then I went to pump...by the time I went to get in bed she was upset...she was crying and I thought that was weird...she rarely ever cries, unless she is hungry! so anyway, she kept crying, we tried everything. JR slept while I took the first shift, then after about 45min, I couldn't take it anymore. JR took over so I could try to sleep, he thawed out some milk and tried to give it to her...but as I said yesterday, she doesn't do well with a bottle. So JR tried using a different bottle...thinking maybe it was the type of nipple...that also didn't work. He put her in the swing...no go...he walked around with her, he rocked her. Then he decided it must be the milk...It was pumped back on Oct. 18 so it still had colostrum in it...so he decided that maybe Landry doesn't like the colostrum....so he poured it out and tried new milk. Finally that started to work...although I am skeptical of the TRUE reasoning! I think that after all the crying and the fact that 2 hours had gone by, she had worked up an appetite. I came in a few minutes later...It was my shift, and I fed her some "fresh" milk...and sure enough she was off to dream land. I still feel a little guilty because JR took an hour shift with her, and by the time I finished feeding her I was only up for 20 minutes!
It was only one night...so I dont want to jump to conclusions....such as colic...I think maybe she just didn't get full from the feeding and maybe her tummy was hurting a little. Anyway..JR got barely any sleep, so he will probably go to bed early tonight....and I- well I am not going to complain or gripe about it, because he deserves it! He has been so amazing. Sadly, we have been pretty lazy, and pretty tired lately so our house is starting to suffer...Mainly because Logan brings all his toys out@!!!! Hopefully, I can get some of cleaned up this evening and tomorrow! Nahhhh...It will probably have to wait until this weekend!
Happy 4 week Anniversary Landry!!

M.I.A.
So, I have been missing for several days now...not because I have been super busy or anything like that but because I have been sooooo lazy!
We went home to my parents this weekend...it was great! My dad's football team won there last game of the regular season and are in the play-offs...Ironically they are playing Glen Rose this Friday...My dad used to coach in Glen Rose and it is where I graduated. I was mulling over the idea of going...it is in Killeen, but I dont think I will be able to make it. :( I completely forgot how boring Wimberley is. We never left the house...It was nice to be able to relax... I had planned on visiting pioneer town and maybe going to the outlet mall...but we did neither! I guess the laziness carried over because I haven't wanted to move since we got home!!!
The last couple of days have been pretty lazy..I finally got the dishes done and some laundry...but thats about it!
Tomorrow marks the 4 weeks anniversary of Landry's birth! I can't believe so much time has gone by. She is nearly 10 pounds...she is such a good eater! Landry is a spitter though, which is a new thing for me...Logan rarely ever spit up! I talked to the doctor about this but was told that as long as she was gaining weight then it wasn't something to worry about...We have a new doctor that Landry will see in about a month....I am interested to see if she has the same advice!
I am proud to say that the breastfeeding is going really well. I can count on one hand the number of times we have offered her a bottle...and it never goes well.
I am a little concerned about this...She doesn't do well with a bottle, so if I ever want to leave the house without her it makes it very difficult....but I dont want to force the bottle on her either...I would hate for her to get so used the bottle that she prefers it over me....but at the same time, it would be nice to be able to go somewhere without worrying about her eating!
I am down to pumping just twice a day...I pump in the late morning (around 10:15) right after feeding her, and then again right before going to bed. I am still able to pump around 10 - 15 ounces total, so I am pretty comfortable with that....JR and I still haven't bought the deep freeze but are hoping to do so this weekend .....It has now gone from something we wanted to a necessity. There is no longer any room in the freezer!!!
Well the princess is calling...

Leaving on a jet plane...
Okay, so not really on a plane...more like in a car crammed with three adults and two babies in carseats! Either way, I can't wait.
Unfortunately there is also some sad news...JR will be attending his great uncles funeral tomorrow morning. Afterwards, we are off to Wimberley and then to Fredericksburg for the football game. I am hoping to take JR to pioneer town and maybe go down to the creeks to get some pictures. I would love to be able to get some family pictures that we can send out for Christmas cards...but at the same time I want to wait a little longer so Landry can be a little bigger!..Not that I am rushing it or anything!
I am just going to do both!! LOL
I love pictures, and you can never have too many, especially of a new baby!

Hump Day!
It is Wednesday and I have gotten a lot done this week...mainly arts and crafts stuff, but I did it none the less. I have to go to the store today....I am dreading this...I am going to wait until Landry's next feeding...hopefully it will all work out!
We are going to see my parents this weekend! I am so excited and a little nervous. One thing I remember about going places when Logan was a baby was how stressful it was at night. When he woke up in the night I was always so worried about waking other people up...of course, I did a lot of traveling on my own which also added to the stress. Luckily, JR will be joining me on this trip...I dont think I would be able to handle both kids on my own just yet. I mean, yes, I do it on a daily basis...but traveling is much different. My little sister will also be joining us on the trip...I have no idea where she will sit due to the carseats...she will be a little crammed...I guess its a good thing she is so tiny.:) Anyway, it will also be the first time I have seen my older sister since my grandfather's funeral back in July...I am not looking forward to this! Again, I am lucky though because she only works on the weekends and she works a 16 hour shift both Saturday and Sunday! So there will be very little time that she spends at home! YAY! Anyway, I am very happy to be going home...we are leaving on Friday so that we can go watch my dad coach Friday night football! It will be their last regular season game, but they have already clinched a play-off seat so they will continue on until they lose! I love my dad..going to the football games really reminds me of growing up, there were such wonderful memories. I cant help but be a tad bit jealous of my sisters kids...since they live with my parents they get to go every week to the games. My mom even takes my nephew up to the high school on Fridays for the pep rally where he gets to stand right next to his Papaw. Its so cute, I am so glad that they get to do these things. I wish we lived closer so that I could take them to more games. Maybe we can get involved in some high school football and baseball here...it just isn't the same since I have no connection with it, and wont until Logan is playing!
Anywhooooo....the weekend is nearly here! YAY

Wow...so much
Friday was aweful...I tried to take the kids to the mall to get a few things...it was disasterous...but mainly my fault...Like an idiot I waited around for Logan to take a nap...he didn't so I decided to go anyway, he slept on the way there, I had to wake him up, this was followed by multiple tantrums....NO GOOD!
Saturday, I left the kids with JR and went on a hunt for an outfit for me and Landry for pictures...I wanted to do autumn colors* I finally settled on a deep purple shirt for me and I ended up with a grayish brown dress for Landry, Logan had a brown and khaki striped button up and JR went with a deep maroon striped button up...we got ready went to the Picture People...spent over two hours taking pics...never got Logan to cooperate, he didn't make it in any of the pics....we will Try again around Thanksgiving!
After pics we rushed home to get Logan changed, then headed to JR's sister and they went trick or treating. We hung out for a while and had a good time! Logan understands what candy is now so we have to hide it...he calls all candy "cookie"...LOL
Sunday, we watched football and did some picking up....that was about it...ohhh and I made Landry and I matching beanies...I am going to make Logan one too using the same colors...too cute!
I have finished Landry's first photo book yay...super cute...I am working on some wall decor for Landry's room...I fixed my scanner...and I have to make a trip to the store somtime in the next two days!!!....I am busy busy!
* Everytime I went in to a store to try and explain that I was looking for Autumn colors, I got the same response..."When I think of Autumn, I think of hues of brown"..."Autumn? As in browns?"...I was like OMG NO autumn as is the leaves changing colors...burnt orange, golden yellow, deep red, deep purple....you know....Autumn!

Happy Two Weeks, Landry!
So today my little baby is 2 weeks old...
I am still plagued with hormones...I didn't even realize it until I was watching my baby sleep and thinking how small she is...I was reminded of Logan and thinking the same thoughts, and how I would do ANYTHING for my child, then I realized I was crying. When I stoped to think about why, I realized that my little baby boy is no longer little. He has gotten so big so fast. In the blink of an eye my baby boy became a toddler, full of life, and attitude, and a mind of his own. Dont get me wrong, I understand that you get older, but part of me wishes that I could have those days back...I dont regret anything...My little boy is amazing and he is still the best, but having gone through it all before, I am reminded to TRULY cherish all these times with Landry! One day she wont be so small... tear, tear, tear...yes I am crying as I write this!!! LOL
Several days ago, maybe a week, my husband was talking about how neat it would be to have Logan playing college ball somewhere and have the sports announcers talk about Logan's little brother playing High school ball, and how exciting it would be to have both boys play for the same school....I was having a very difficult time with this, because I was still stuck on the words "little brother" All I could think was, "IS he saying he wants another child? We had a girl!" Finally he stops and asks if I am listening..I say yes, and he says I looked confused...I said, "I AM" Afterwards we kind of just tabled the topic.
Two days ago...he casually points out that he might like to try for another boy....I thought we had mutually decided that this was the last child...I kind of just laughed...a little confused again. All I could think of was the pregnancy and the fact that I am STILL recovering from this child! Anyway, he said he was just wondering if I was dead set on not having anymore children or if it could be talked about again somewhere down the road...Ahhhh.....relief! We have always said we would talk about the prospect of one more child after several years had passed...Ideally IF we were to have another child I would want them to be spread out a little, meaning I would want Landry going in to or already IN Kindergarten before we have another child!!! JR agrees which was great news... Wheew!
I love my children but I am very content with just the two of them for now!!! Ask again in three or four years...I may be ready for another one!
I think what scares me the most is when I think about having Landry, I keep going back to one major thing...As I laid in the hospital waiting for them to come and take me to the OR I started to have a MAJOR panic attack....mainly because of the waiting, but let me just say, if it weren't for Brittany and Carol showing up right when they did I probably would have ripped out my IV and left the hospital...All I could think was that I had to get out of there. Obviously, it all turned out okay, but man....I still think about those feelings and I panic all over again!!!! So Scary!

A day from hell!!!
So yesterday I took Landry for her two week check-up. First let me just say that we took her a couple of days after we left the hospital and we waited for over an hour before being seen! I was irritated but thankful that JR was with me to help with Logan! It was still difficult even with the two of us.
When I picked this office I was very happy with my choice. The office is nice and clean it has two separate waiting areas, a sick side and a well side, and when I first scouted it out, it seemed as though people were being seen at an average speed...yes I was 9 months prego sitting in a waiting room with NO intention of seeing a doctor...I just wanted to see how things ran! I picked my pediatrician based on the internet (recommendations, and I looked her up) I also got recommendations from the moms at the office. There is a large play area for the kids and they are always playing some typr of kid movie (Nemo, Madagascar...etc.) I thought I had found a great office! NOPE!
I will be searching for a new pediatrician...actually it isn't the doctor I have a problem with, she really is as good as I had anticipated---but the office is so poorly run, that I will not go back. I was at the office for nearly 3 hours yesterday...I had to feed Landry twice, while watching Logan...and there were several times that I had to go chase after him while holding Landry with one arm up to my breast (and hoping that the blanket draped over me didn't fall off and expose myself) using my other arm to practically drag Logan back to where he was supposed to be. Now to be quite honest...Logan did very well, for about as long as he could. The appointment was a 2:20, so I rearranged our schedule to accomodate...I let Logan sleep in, until 11:30 (WOW!!!) this pushed his nap time back to 4:15...which I thought for sure, we would be home or at least headed home by then...NOPE! Around 4:30 is when Logan started to come unravelled...tantrums ensued and I was about out of my mind! Have I mentioned that I hadn't had anything to eat all day? We finally left the office at 5:14. Logan was bawling, I was crying, and Landry (who just had her follow up newborn screening..i.e. heel prick) was screaming. I got everyone loaded in their carseats, buckled myself in and called my mother crying!!!
This was a lesson learned...for now on, I WILL NOT wait any longer than 45 minutes...at 30 min. I will go to the front window and ask for an eta....and if I am still waiting at 45 min. I will reschedule my visit for another day. If this means that I go to 12 different offices then that is what I will do until I find one that will see me promptly.
It turns out that they had to send a little girl to the hospital and that is why they were so backed up...but seriously....you can tell when you are getting that backed up...they could have let me know when I walked through the door...and if they continued to get behind they could have very easily made an announcement...at least that is what my old pediatricians office would do...as well as my OB/GYN!
Then last night...due to moving everyones schedule around...Logan stayed up until nearly 1 am which was Landry's feeding time...I fed her then FINALLY got to go to sleep..then she woke up again at 3:45 (perfectly normal) she fed, then WOULD NOT go back to sleep! I tried EVERYTHING. I finally got her to back to sleep at 6:00 am, right about the time JR's alarm was going off...I thought....well if she wakes back up, I am staying asleep, and JR can deal with her before going to work! But, luckily for him, she stayed asleep and we got up this morning at 8:45...so I haven't gotten ANY sleep..I am hoping for a better day..and I hope Logan goes back to his usual nap time (2:30) I hate getting him off schedule! Not that we have a definite schedule...but we are trying!
I had plans to get out today...I wanted to walk around the neighborhood with the kids...make a trip to Babies R us...Landry needs some pants...0-3 months are gigantic on her...so I need some, especially if we are going to be going outside in this cooler weather.
Instead, I am relaxing, and I am going to start on some beenies and scarfs for the kids! Also, I ordered some prints from shutterfly yesterday...so exciting! And I am going to finish working on a photobook that I started last night...It was for Landry, but thinking about it now...I think Logan is due for another one too!!! HEHEHEHEEEEE...

Little fun fact
Okay so here is a little fun fact -
JR's cousin and his wife delivered their baby girl on Oct. 12
My grandmother grew up with 3 sisters...Peggy, Jane, Frances (my grandmother), and Carolyn.
Peggy's grandson and his wife had their baby girl on Oct. 13
Carolyn's grandson and his wife had their baby girl on Oct. 14
I am Frances' granddaughter and JR and I had our baby girl on Oct. 15
Kind of crazy right?

Weekend update
So....we had a busy weekend..but it was soooo much fun!
Saturday, we took the kids to a local pumkin patch...it was at this exotic ranch, so Logan got to pet a bearcat and a pony, and he got to see chickens and kangaroo's and pigs...it was a blast!
(my uploader is having issues....will post pics later)
Later on Saturday, JR took Logan to play glow in the dark putt putt! It was some great "LOGAN ONLY" time with his dad...I get to do something with him this coming weekend....but it sucks that I am a little limited as to where I can go and how long I can be gone due to the fact that I am breastfeeding...Although I have started pumping and storing....so I guess I could go and have JR feed Landry a bottle....but we haven't introduced a bottle yet and I was hoping to hold off on it as long as possible!
Sunday, we did some picking up, and FINALLY got around to mopping the floor...It is so great having company over...1 - because you get to spend time with friends and 2 - because it forces you to do the little things around the house that we keep putting off! Amazingly we have been keeping the house pretty clean, so the cleaning didn't take too long or very much energy, which was great for JR who was entranced by football! LOL Texans won two in a row...woohoo! Sometimes it is frustrating when JR gets so in to all the football games especially when I need him to help me out...but some how it worked out really well yesterday. We did most of the cleaning before kickoff and he even went to get lunch and made it back about 10 minutes before the game started....then I did all the little stuff that was left...but he came and helped me out during halftime. I dont know what has gotten into him, but he has been wonderful. I truly love my husband always...but when he takes the time and effort to help me out, I cant help but feel so lucky to have him!
So anyway, Nikki, Travis and Aiden all came over and brought dinner!!! Amazing chicken fajitas! They even cleaned up after dinner....how nice! The meal was amazing and so was the company. It was great to catch up with old friends. JR and Travis got to watch some football and Nikki and I did what all new moms do....we talked about our babies, their milestones, and all the ins and outs of being a mom! It was great! Maybe next month JR and I can travel south and do the same for them!
Today has been rotten! Logan is so starved for attention, and I am trying to pay extra attention to him while Landry naps. He doesn't seem to understand or have the patience with me when I need to leave his side...for instance, he throws a fit when I get up from playing cars so that I can go to the bathroom! Ughhh...I even let him go with me, I let him "help" he gets me toilet paper!! LOL then I let him flush...Seriously though, I would really like to do this on my own...but for now, I am going to let him join me because, I feel so guilty. He seems to be okay when I have to leave him to feed Landry...in fact he usually comes and sits next to us and kisses Landry on the head. Today has been rough...he has been so whiny all day yesterday and then again today....and to make it worse it has been consistantly raining ALL DAY long! I was hoping to get out of the house, I wanted to go look for a costume for Logan and take the kids to the park....but its a no go. Before I can drive somewhere major, my doctor recommended driving in the neighborhood to make sure I was comfortable with it...but I dont want to try it out in the rain!
Landry has a doctor appointment tomorrow...I weighed myself this morning....I have 22 pound left to go to get back to pre-pregnancy weight, which means I have lost 28---thats right people, I gained 50 pounds!!! AHHHHH After I weighed myself I weighed myself again holding Landry and according to my scale she is back to birthweight...but we will have to see tomorrow! I am a little nervous about this issue, but hopefully it will all be fine!!!
Good Luck to everyone this week....Hope it goes well!

Busy Day!
What are we doing today??? Let me tell you...
JR made an awesome breakfast...Sausage, bacon, eggs, and biscuits....yummy! He is now playing with Logan in his room! In about 5 minutes I will start getting myself ready and we will all head out for the pumpkin patch...SO excited...this will be my first time hehehe....hoping to make it a tradition for my kids!
Then JR is going to take Logan to play putt putt...just the two of them. We decided it would be a good idea to give Logan some extra special attention...where he doesn't have to compete with anyone...I wish I could go...if only to get pictures, but I will be at home with Landry, having some girl time! I am hoping to work on her baby book, write some thank you notes, and maybe catch a nap...although I doubt I get all that done in the amount of time it takes them to play. I should also try to clean up a little...and do some laundry....ughhhhh so much to do! How is it that babies dont really do much and yet your house becomes a disaster zone when you have them???
When JR gets home I am sure he will help out around the house...he already has...he cooked breakfast, unloaded the dishwasher, and cleaned up after cooking...WOW! I think he is going for some type of reward! Maybe Landry and I will order him a "World's Greatest Dad" coffee mug! LOL
Things are going so well...I dont want to jinx it, but JR and I are closer than ever, he has been so helpful and I cant thankhim enough for all he has done...I love my husband! We are so close to having a major debt paid off, and we aren't scrounging around for change in the couch...hahaha. Life is good!
Tomorrow...Football and Nikki, Travis, and Aiden come to visit! Exciting! I cant wait for Landry to meet her little friend! Aiden is only 3 months and like 3 weeks or something like that (not quite 4 months yet)....I am interested in seeing how much bigger he is. I am shocked every time I compare her tiny little feet with Logans monster feet!! Will she really be that big in just 2 1/2 years??? Why can't they stay stay babies? Oh....emotions!!!
Hope you all have a great weekend! I know that I will!

Landry's first week!!!
Today marks the one week anniversary of Landry's birth...it is also my first full day at home alone with the kids! Ahhhh JR took half a day on Tuesday...but my mom was here until 10:30 and JR got home around 12:30 Then he took another half day yesterday because I still cant drive and we had to take Landry to her first doctor's appointment.
So from the beginning...
Landry was born at 9:39 am on October 15, 2009. She weighed 6 lbs 15.8 oz (so basically 7 lbs) and was 20 1/2 inches long. According to her first assessment, she is in the 50% for weight and the 105% for height...hahaha....apparently she is very long for her weight! All was well in the hospital...she did have to have chest x-rays which concluded that she had fluid in her lungs (probably due to the c-section) but was cleared to leave the hospital on Saturday, Oct. 17. All was well, the first night was a little rough...trying to sit up in a bed to feed her when every move I made felt like my incision site was being ripped apart!...OKay the first night was actually kind of horrible! The next night went better..but in the middle of the night I had another hiccup....I woke up and tried to go to the bathroom and thought I was dying. JR was wonderful...the entire time, we was so good to me! Landry looks nothing like I thought she would...First of all, she is soooo incredibly tiny....I mean Logan was 9 lbs. 6 oz. I was expecting another "big" baby...but she is soooo soooo soooo little! Next, Logan didn't have hair until after he was a year old, but out comes Landry with all kinds of hair...which is funny because she has a receding hair line.LOL it will grow in!Anyway, we had lots of visitors at the hospital and we were released on Saturday around noon. Our first night home was just JR, Landry and me...it was a little rough, but mainly because of my pain level. Hello, my stomach just got sliced open, my breasts are blown up to the point that puts Dolly to shame and I have had a baby with the tiniest mouth ever sucking on them every two hours...Every inch of my body was in pain at that point!!! Logan and my mom came on Sunday. Mom stayed until Tuesday morning and then went back to Galveston to be with my grandmother. Landry had her first appointment yesterday, she weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. She goes back on Oct. 27 and I am hoping that she will be back at birth weight by then. After the appointment we were sent to a diagnosics lab to get her blood drawn and tested because they thought she looked a little yellow...I am still waiting to hear back from them! I think it is probably more her skin tone rather than anything else. Logan is actually doing REALLY well with her...he kisses her constantly and he wants to help out all the time, but he definitely gets jealous and he has certainly been much more whiny and clingy than usual. Anyway...here are some pictures, this is getting too long!!!

Happy and Sad!
Happy - I will be giving brith to my little girl in less than 24 hours!!! I am nervous and excited all at the same time!!! Wooohoooo
Sad - Unfortunately, this will be my last blog. I will, however; post a few pictures of Landry when she gets here as well as an overall update of how we are doing, but as for using this site as an outlet or a safe place to vent some of my emotions, I can no longer do that. I want to thank you guys for reading and for being such a wonderful support system for me! You have been there when times were so very difficult and when times were so amazing...I guess thats why I do this! I dont know what I would have done without this blog for the last year and a half!
Enjoy the rest of your week and your weekend!!!!
Goodbye,
Sara

Our Last Night in our OWN home...
This will be our last night in our own home. Tomorrow we will be heading to Galveston to stay the night at my grandmothers house. Then Thursday we will be at the hospital at 5 am!!! Landry will be here by about 7:30! I cant believe I have less than 48 hours until she is here. Today has been a rough day! Logan must know that something is on the horizon!!! He found a magic marker from who knows where and marked ALL OVER the kitchen. Grr.... we are about to go to wal-mart to get some MR. Clean magic eraser....hopefully it will work!!! I think we are taking the computer to the hospital...but no promises on keeping up with the updates....maybe I can get JR to do all that! But for sure we will post a picture or two or two hundred!!!! LOL

Weekend update
Wow... Only 3 more days! Panic and worry are starting to set in!
Lets see....Saturday I got up early and met up with two ladies who were getting puppies from us. One took my favorite (Big boy) and the other lady took both the girls! Then I got home and we did some cleaning. JR was a pretty good help and even Logan helped out with his room and Laundry!
Sunday, I went to meet up with my sister in Conroe to give her her puppy....halfway there she called to tell me she had just gotten in a wreck!! AHHHHHHH! Apparently she had a blow out, which then caused her to hydroplane. She was on a two lane highway, which she ended up going across both lanes, hitting the concrete barrier in the middle of the road and doing a complete 360, hitting it again and then bouncing off and facing oncoming traffic. Somehow...by the grace of god, all the other cars missed hitting her, and there was a fire marshall directly behind her who pulled off to the side and stopped traffic so she could get off the highway. Luckily she was okay, and the car isn't totaled....all her passenger side airbags deployed, but she was able to walk away from it. SHe had a friend with her who got slapped by the airbags and hurt her arm. Vanessa was in lots of pain last night from being thrown arround. I am so glad that I was already on my way...it didn't take long for me to get there. My mom was bawling.....she was so scared, Vanessa was shaken up, and I was out of my mind! All is well...Vanessa will have to go a while without a car, but at least everyone was okay! I ended up giving her the dog and making sure she was okay and then headed home. JR and I did some more cleaning...neither of us really straining ourselves! I cooked dinner and that was about it! I never got around to packing my hospital bag...so that is STILL on the list... I really need to get it done. I still have some laundry to do, but other than that...everything is pretty much taken care of! Now I am just getting bored with nothing to do and my mind keeps thinking about Thursday! Actually I am thinking more about what comes after than anything else! I am starting to get very nervous!
We have to be at the hospital at 5 a.m. so we are going to drive to Galveston after JR gets off work on Wednesday. Logan will be staying there with my mom, and it is a much shorter drive from Galveston to the hospital than it is from Spring.
Well thats about it...Hope everyones Monday goes well!

Rude Awakening!
whew! 6 more days until my princess is here!
I feel much better...it was in fact just a reaction to the shot, so no worries here!
All 5 of my puppies are sold and will be gone this weekend! YAY!
Logan is in a new habit, when it started I thought it was a one or two night thing, but after four nights in a row, I am deeming it a habit. We have to be VERY careful about how we deal with new issues because if we aren't careful we can turn one habit into another - So here's the deal....Logan goes to bed....and wakes up in the night to get in bed with mommy and daddy...not that big of a deal, because he usually just lays there for a while and then goes back to his room. The problem is that he gets up again around 5 (sometimes earlier) and starts playing...he plays and plays and plays before FINALLY going back to sleep. He is even awake early enough to get cereal from JR in the mornings!!! I am up EVERY hour right now and so I am averaging about 45 minutes of sleep everytime I get there. I know that the days ahead will be much of the same but....I need to get a little more sleep in and am not sure how to go about fixing this problem! So for now, I have decided to let Logan sleep in a little bit....if I wake him up too early he will just take a long nap and then wont want to sleep through the night....therefore, I wont be fixing the problem. So my plan is to let him get some good sleep....and then this afternoon if he is super tired I may let him take a 30 or 45 min nap and wake him up. I am hoping that by this evening he will be super tired and will sleep all the way through the night! We will see!
We are saying goodbye to the 2 little girls tonight! I am very happy to say that they are going to the same home though, so at least they will get to stay together! I took all pups and Dezi to the vet yesterday and they have been given the okay to go to their new homes...Dezi is rapidly recovering from her sudden weight loss...she should be as much as we feed her....but sadly, she is a little deficient in some areas and so we started her on some doggy vitamins! She will be going back to Dexter on Sunday. One of the boys will be going this weekend as well to JR's cousin's cousin. Another puppy is going to my sister...I may meet up with her this weekend or we may keep him here until she comes for Landry's delivery...although I would much rather do it now so I dont have to worry about it later. And the other boy is going home with a very nice family that we have met on several occasions---he will be going on Tuesday. Its kind of weird....I love them so much, and I am ready for them to go to their new homes, but in a way I wish we could keep one of them, I just love them! I wonder if this is how I will feel when Logan goes off to college???? Excited for him to go, but knowing how much I will miss him, even though after 18 years I am tired of picking up after him and wishing for just a little more time!! LOL
Have a great weekend everyone!

One more week to go!
SO I had an appointment yesterday, all is well. Apparently Landry had a growth spurt, we went from last week the doctor predicted and average size baby, to this week...."This kid isn't small!" I am still hoping for somewhere on the low side of 8 lbs or smaller....but bigger than 7 lbs! LOL! Anyway, I had her do a pelvic exam because I have been stressing about how low this baby is...I have so much pressure "down there" and my inner thighs cramp so badly! I can actually feel her head turning in my PELVIC REGION! Sure enough, the baby is VERY low the doctor says but I am not dilated or anything. This is good....I have been worried sick about having this date circled on my calendar and then all of a sudden going into labor and having to get to the nearest hospital ASAP! I STILL haven't packed a hospital bag....at this point I almost see it as a jinx! BUT it is on my list of things to do today! My surgery is scheduled for 7:15 Oct. 15~ I can't believe one week from today I will be holding this little girl!
I also got my flu shot yesterday...this has turned into a nightmare! I am now sick with a fever and my arm is killing me, not to mention the chills and sweats that come with fever! Ughhh...I get this vaccine EVERY year, and I have never had this reaction! Grrr....Hopefully it will only last a day or two!

a new dawn, a new day!
So today is the second day in a row where Logan has woken up at 5 in the morning...after not going to bed until late and waking up during the night...um, I thought I had 8 more days before I was getting up with a baby every two hours???? I am not sure why this is going on, although I hope to figure it out soon....and surprisingly enough I have been VERY patient with him. My irritation goes to JR! Poor JR, I know - it sucks that I get so frustrated and take it out on him, I seriously need to look into a punching bag or something! Anyway, it is now 7:30 and I just got Logan to lay back down...I have a doctors appt. today which means if I lay down now I will be back up in an hour! ughhh!
Another problem is that everyone is regressing....Logan is waking up all hours of the night, JR cant seem to remember to put the toilet seat down...after nearly 4 years, why now??? I dont get it? WHY WHY WHY!I think Logan senses all the changing going on, and this is why he has regressed, I have been trying to get so much done the last couple of days but I am also careful to spend quality time with Logan. We got the pack n play set up yesterday in our bedroom and I FINALLY got JR to hang Logan's shelves and put up all his sports memorabilia. Logan's room is complete disaster area with all his toys. I asked JR to reverse the car seats but he hasn't gotten that done. Turns out, when you have two, they have to be behind each seat one behind the passenger, one behind the driver - scary! I chose to put Logan's behind the passenger so that I could still see him since he faces forward, and because I didn't want him behind the driver seat kicking!!!! This is a no go!!! When JR drives, he has to put the seat waaaay back which pushes the back of the infant seat upward....not going to work, so they need to be switched...actually I just need a new car, but that isn't happening!!!! I am still working on some decorations for Landry's room...it is turning out really nicely, I bought some wall appliques yesterday but didn't want to leave Logan out so I got him some sports ones....he is really enjoying stickers right now so I thought it would be fun! I got the baseball and football ones set up just right and gave him the soccer and basketball ones to play with....too bad he could reach the baseball ones and ended up taking them off the wall...its kind of funny, they are on the door on the floor on the tv...everywhere! I have just about everything for Landry, although I could always have more! LOL the last remaining things I need to get are really for me...breast cream and pads, the other kind of pads...stuff like that! Ughhhh! Anywho, I am glad it all came together, I knew that it would, I just cant help but get stressed!
Well I am off to get some rest! Have a good day All!!!

9 Days left!
Panic is setting in! I realized last night after looking at my list, that I have so much stuff to do and not much time to do it! I told myself that I wasn't going to go all crazy like I did with Logan and have everything done by month 7, and I held to it...but now I am realizing that I probably could have done a little bit more! OOPS! I plan on knocking out a good quarter of my list today. I really want to take this time to relax and enjoy being a mommy to Logan before he has to share me! I have all these thoughts and ideas about how things should be and different ways JR can really help me out, but I doubt any of them happen. We talked last night about me taking the first night feeding, and JR taking the second...or the one that is closest to his wake up call. He said he was fine with that, but we will see. I also told him I wanted to incorporate an hour per week break for each of us. Not where we leave the house or anything, but one hour a week that I can go to my bedroom and read a book or take a long bath or whatever I choose with out being bothered, and he should get the same thing. I said an hour because I dont want to over do it! I am trying to make some realistic goals! I would love for an hour a day....but that is totally UNREALISTIC! I am completely freaking out right now though! I talked to my mom to see how long she would be able to stay....ughhhh! I was hoping she could stay at least a week.....BUT my mom is never clear on ANYTHING and she doesn't make plans AT ALL! her philosophy is "Why make plans? THey never go accordingly, you should always be on your toes and be ready for anything!" She is one of those- never leave the house without shaving your legs, doing your hair, putting on makeup---you never know what could happen kind of people! Anyway, so I asked how long she could stay and her response was, I will stay for a bit....HOW long is a bit???? JR is taking Thursday - Friday -Monday - and Tuesday off which will be great...but I was hoping that he could go back to work on Tuesday so we could save that day of vacation time for the holidays! But...it all depends on how things are going, and how much help I am getting. If my mom isn't going to be here, then I need him to be. I am just scared...I will be recovering from surgery, on pain meds, having to chase Logan and an infant. I was trying to pay attention to how many times I have to pick Logan up or lean over in one day....and that just wont be possible for a "bit" after I get home from the hospital!
Any encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

Weekend update
This has been a good weekend. A complete mixture of relaxing AND getting some things done! On Saturday I got up at 6 am....and couldn't get back to sleep! Somewhere around 1:00 I FINALLY talked myself into getting off the couch and going to Target and doing the grocery shopping! Logan stayed home with JR which was VERY helpful... I went to Target, got the carseat/stroller, my breastpump, some milk storage bags, and a box of newborn diapers with some gift cards that I have recieved as well as the 10% off for registering there. I also got Logan Madagascar 2...which hasn't come out of the DVD player since we put it in! OH Man, I wish I would have filmed him when he saw the movie come out of the bag! His eyes lit up, he was screaming "GASCAR....MAAAAADAGASCAR" IT was hilarious! Then I did the grocery shopping which took forever...even going by myself...#1 because I CAN take my time and really price shop, and #2 because the list was long! After unloading the car and putting everything away, JR and Jason loaded up the old washer and Dryer and took them to Jason's house. After an hour or so, They called me and Logan over so the boys could play and we all ate dinner together! I got home late, and I was so tired. I went to bed and woke up at 8 on Sunday morning. JR put the stroller together and I read the instructions to make sure he was doing it right!! LOL Then I read all the safety instructions for the car seat...although I have done all this before, you never know what might have changed I mean who would have ever thought that you would need to be in a booster until you are 4' 9".....NOT ME! For the rest of the afternoon we watched football...The TEXANS rocked it! (By the way shout it out for my Dad's team...the Wimberley Texans won on Friday night 62-3....Talk about Red, White, and Blue Domination!) I also workied on an afghan that I started before we moved. I haven't really worked on it much in the new house and I finally felt like doing it. IT is almost done, but wouldn't you know, I ran out of yarn!...Then I JR and I moved the huge dog kennel, so I could do some MASSIVE cleaning all around it....I clean out the kennel every morning and they get a new "bed" every morning and evening, so I couldn't figure out why my house is starting to smell like dog! OH because I have 6 of them! Then I felt disgusting so I went to take a bath for an hour then I showered and went to bed. I got a GREAT nights sleep didn't wake up but once to go potty! It was wonderful.
Logan used the potty 5 times in a row last night! I was so proud of him, in no way do I think he is potty trained, but he has been so fickle about the whole process. He will do great for a couple of times, then pee on the floor...sometimes JR gets frustrated and ends up putting a diaper on him so that he doesn't have to clean any messes, but that just makes it easier in the short run! JR understands this, which is good....and I understand that sometimes, we are just too damn tired to clean up anymore pee! Anyway, Logan is doing great, but there is a lot of back and forth!
For this week...there is a terrible amount of things that need to get done this week and this weekend. I made a list last night, but I am still adding to it, and not crossing anything off yet! Some of it is easy stuff, like packing the hospital bag..I STILL haven't done that, I need to take the carseat up to Babies R us and make sure it is installed properly, but first I need to install it, but first I need to vacuum out my car! Anyway, I need to start crossing things off, I cant believe I only have 10 Days left! AHHHHH!
The Puppies are doing great...they are hilarious and growing so fast. They have gone from sliding backwards on the tile floor when they walk, to running across the entire living room! I love them so much, but I am looking forward to seeing them all go!I am sad that IF we get them all sold (I still have a couple left) I will only have a few days of peace before the baby gets here! I also can't believe they will be 6 weeks on Saturday!
Have a wonderful week everyone!

Party! It's Friday
Okay....so, I have had Dezi and all 5 puppies for over a week now. THey were supposed to go back to Carol on Wednesday, but the lucky duck is going to Jamaica this weekend for an entire week, so we are keeping them for yet ANOTHER week! I love them so much, but cleaning up after them is becoming difficult. It is hard for me to get down on the ground and even harder to get up. Every morning, I clean the kennel, put a clean towel and puppy pad down for them and then feed them. I let Dezi outside to do her business and she comes in to eat. THen I clean up where the puppies ate...they make a mess....and I will admit that I cheat...I let Dezi clean it all up, and then I clorox the area! Then I do this again in the after noon again in the early evening and again before I go to bed.....yes, that means we go through LOTS of towels, we are doing LOTS of laundry and buy LOTS of puppy pads. The Good news is that they are 5 weeks old tomorrow, I have two of them sold (working on the other 3) and they have been weening for almost a week now. They should be ready to go either next weekend or the next, depending on how long it takes them to be COMPLETELY weened from Dezi...I dont want to rush them. I know how hard the weening experience can be. Cleaning up after the puppies, and cleaning up after Logan is taking a LOT out of me...Logan is kind of potty training, and has several accidents, which means I have to come in a clean his pee off the ground...THANK GOD we have tile floors!
The point is I am up to my arm pits in pee and poop! LOL!
JR came home from work yesterday and help out quite a bit....after a few hours, he was like...."NO MORE...I can not clean any more pee or poop" about a minute later, Logan had an accident and JR said...that he was wearing diapers from now on....no more underwear, he isn't getting it, he just isn't ready" I thought wow...I know your tired....I have been doing this ALL DAY, but are you really going to give up so easily? After a few days, you have just decided, Logan isnt getting it and we shouldn't potty train him anymore? I tried telling him that it takes time and patience and consistency. #1 We probably should have waited until after the baby was born to start, but since Logan was doing it with out us trying we figured it was time....with the puppies we are all exhausted so it is makes the process harder. #2 Logan started doing this all on his own...and this is the first time we have ever potty trained so this is all trial and error. #3 We haven't been paying close enough attention...we should be asking more often if he has to go potty, and if he hasn't gone in a certain amount of time we should take him anyway. Anyway...I tried telling JR last night, that having the puppies is reminding me of having a new baby in the house...the constant pooping and peeing, and all the feeding. I am starting to get a little worried. How do people forget about all this stuff? I have forgotten it all...the pregnancy aches and pains, the lack of sleep, and thats BEFORE the baby gets here! With that being said...is it weird that I am so excited. I cant wait to have her in my arms. I remember that it isn't all roses but I am so ready for our new adventure to begin.
Happy Friday everyone...Have a great weekend.... I only have one more weekend after this before my family of three becomes a family four!

2 more weeks!
I am officially 14 days away from having my c-section....although according to the lady at the bank, I wont make it 2 weeks! Ha! I'll show her! This is very exciting, it means that I only have ONE more trip to the doctor's office (Oct. 7) and then the next time I see her will be at the hospital right before she cuts me open (Oct. 15). Geez! I can't believe it is almost here...I prayed it would go by quickly and I will say that this last week has flown by! I am hoping this next week does the same! I still have a bunch to do, but I am confident it will all get done.
JR called me yesterday as I was driving to my appointment and said that he was out in the field near downtown and if he got finished early enough he would come to the appoinment to help with Logan. I thought that I would be getting a pelvic exam considering how close I am to having the baby, but it turns out that they dont do them routinely on repeat c-sections...nor do they test for Group B strep! I have mixed feelings about this....I in no way, shape, or form WANT a pelvic exam, but there is a little part of me that feels that I should have gotten one anyway. For instance, it would be nice to know if I am dilated or if effacement has begun...and you would think the doctor would want to know. I had a friend who was having a repeat cesarean which (like me) was scheduled a week before her due date. She went in at 37 weeks and the doctor found that she was dilated to a 3 and was 20% effaced so they moved the c-section up to the next week....her water ended up breaking the night before the scheduled c-section!
Anyway, I guess if it really stresses me out, I can always ask them to do it next week, but I probably wont. JR ended up coming to the appointment, which was great because my doctor had to deliver a baby that morning and was running 45 minutes behind. My appointment was at 11 and we didn't leave until 12:30! AND LOGAN ACTUALLY BEHAVED.
JR and I had a really nice evening last night..nothing special...we even ate pizza, I was so exhausted. Neither of us really cleaned up, but he seemed to have a lot more patience with me, which made me have a lot more patience with him.
Looking forward to tomorrow.....FRIDAY!!!!!!

A few lessons I have recently learned
#1 I have control issues......that I can't seem to let go!
#2 Although throwing dishes across the room makes you feel better at the time....the hour it takes to clean the broken glass only pisses you off more!
#3 I do more than my husband realizes
#4 My husband does more than I realize
#5 At 9 months pregnant, I seem to like everyone EXCEPT my husband, except when he wants to do something without me, and then I am extremely emotional and can't understand why he never wants to do anything with me!
#6 I miss my mom more than I ever imagined possible
#7 I am more like my mom than I ever imagined possible
#8 My son is the most amazing person in the world, and can always bring a smile to my face.
#9 There are days that my husband has less patience than I do...If I want him to cut me some slack here and there, I should do the same for him
#10 No matter how hard I try, there are some things that I can not change....but I am to stubborn to stop trying!

I tell you no lies...
quickly before I head to bed...it is almost midnight!
JR brought home two large bags full of baby clothes today....I figured it would be an assortment of newborn and up but was shocked to find that very little of it goes above the newborn size...there are very few 3-6 month and maybe two 6-9 month outfits. WOW! So I am pretty set on clothes! LOL!
To the point....at 8:30 I asked JR to help me out around the house...asked him to pick up a few things in the living room (these are all Logan's toys, that he is determined to keep bringing into the living room!) JR has been nursing a bad toothache since Saturday night and says it isn't getting better....I told him today to call the dentist and make an appointment. In my opinion, it cant hurt THAT bad if you aren't willing to do anything about it! I told him I would call around tomorrow and make an appointment for him...but, I am not going to...I have changed my mind. He is a grown man, he needs to do some things on his own! UGHHHH Anyway, at 10 I told him it was time for Logan's bath...He replied with "there's only 3minutes left in the game....I started trying to get all the baby stuff put away. He finally went and filled the tub, and put Logan in and since Logan was right next to me, JR returned to the computer! After a while, I asked him again to please help...he didn't.Then 30 minutes ago, he got Logan out of the tub, and went and laid in his bed. Logan was still running around, I asked if he had any intention of helping me and his response was, "not this late at night" REALLY???? So, he gets to stay up until when ever he feels like it so that he can get on facebook and watch a football game, but he cant help out around the house because its too late? I then asked if this is what I had to look forward to...me raising the kids by myself, while he lays around...his response was, "yep, at least for the next couple of night (because of his toothache)" It took everything I had to not burst into tears. I feel like he has absolutely no respect for me sometimes. I am so pissed right now!
I have a huge respect for single mothers...raising children while also supporting a family financially. Although, I dont work...yet....I feel like a single parent sometimes. This is apparently an issue that JR and I will never see eye to eye on, and it doesn't look like he is going to give an inch....the problem is, I have already given a mile, and I am NOT compromising anymore! I am not going to stop believing that he should be helping out more and he isn't ever going to come to the conclusion that he should have to help out...So YEA! Bring on the next 50 years of this! Oh how fun.
