Last night JR and I took the kids to La Vernia to my dad's football game! THey won again, making them 4-0 for the season, but that could all change next week as they will be playing Sealy! As of now Wimberley is ranked #2 for class 3A and Sealy is ranked #3...So it will be a very big game. I am a little worried because the last 2 games have been blowouts. The score last night was 35-21, but dont let the score fool you...Dad put in his second string about midway through the 3rd quarter. My dad is a stand up guy, and would never run the score up on anyone, so since we were winning 28-0, he decided to put in the second string players that dont see a lot of playing time. The weather was nasty. It was hot and humid, but it drizzled throughout most of the game...and there was about 10 minutes of steady rain...it wasn't a heavy rain...but rain none-the-less. I was surprised when my aunt, and cousins showed up! I was so happy to see them, however; didn't really get to spend a lot of time with them between the game and the kids!
So far, all we have done today is sit around and watch college football! We need to tackle a few chores....especially the laundry, but I have resigned myself of household chores for the day. The laundry can wait until tomorrow!
Tomorrow...as I said, will be busy getting the laundry completed, but we are headed to our friends, Chris and Katy's house for the Texans game!! While, I am still excited about football season, I am starting to remember why I get so burned out about midway through. It's football on NFL football on Thursdays...high school football on Friday's (although I will never tire of high school football), College football ALL DAY saturday, NFL fooball on Sundays and more NFL football on Monday nights! 5 Days straigh of football, and two days off!!!! No wonder is get bored with it after a while! LOL
