Ughh..another Monday has rolled around!!! This has been a very long weekend it seems like. On Saturday we went to our nephew's football game. It was kind of rainy...more like misty....but it wasn't cold or anything. It was pretty funny to watch 11 year old play football. They are all so adorable. The minute we got there, JR informed me that he COULDN'T wait for Logan to start playing. I laughed and had a visual image of Landry and I sitting in the bleachers for many many games to come! Then I thought, wait...she will probably be a little cheerleader! Oh Lord, what have I done? LOL After the game we ran home for a quick little cat nap then headed to Tyler's 11th birthday party at main event. They started off bowling, then went to play laser tag, then did hamburgers, cupcakes, presents, and then got a game card to go play arcade games. WOW! It is pretty crazy what kids do at birthday parties these days. My parents let me pick out 5 friends and took us to McDonalds for a happy meal and then we got to play on the play ground (of course I was 6), but as I got older, I had sleepovers and a matinee movie, and when I got even older, I got to choose a restraunt for dinner and may have even invited a friend or two. I hope I can afford all the new and exciting things kids do these days. After seeing how much fun those kids had, I surely hope to be able to do the same for my kiddos! Logan even got to bowl! He was adorable!
Sunday was the day JR had been waiting for---Opening Day for NFL regular season! The Texans have started the season off with disappointment, but I am still a fan. Its always the same...they start off bad and after they are no longer contenders for the playoffs they all of a sudden turn in to an awesome team....just good enough to keep the fans thinking they will be great NEXT season! Oh well. I will continue to watch, I am not a part time fan. I like them when they win and when they lose...but come on, winning is always better! Ha After halftime I got outside and started sanding the "new" old dresser. I only got 2 1/2 drawers done, but I'm hoping to get the other drawers done today and at least part of the dresser itself. The weather has delayed me quite a bit, and since it is still gross outside, I decided I could wait no more! I am excited to get it done. After a shower and a brief rest we headed over to Jason and Lisa's. Logan loves playing over there...the amount of toys Davin has is ridiculous...it like Logan gets lost in another world! LOL JR and Jason watched football, Lisa and I talked we had some chips and queso and some pizza. It was a nice evening!
Good weekend overall....ready for the next one! Hoping to go back and play with Davin today if he is feeling better...poor guy has a serious ear infection! :(
