Yesterday was Logan's fourth birthday! He was so cute, he woke up, announced himself and asked where everyone was. I guess JR and I weren't very clear when we told him all these people were coming for his birthday...we should have said party!!! LOL I explained that they would be here on Friday night and Saturday morning. The next thing out of his mouth was that he wanted to go to the Disney store to get his remote control monster truck Mater - OMG! So I started doing some things around the house, and trying to distact him - but the kids went to his room put on new undies, shorts, and socks...and came back to ask me to help him reach a shirt. I asked why he was getting dressed, and he said he was getting ready to go to the disney store! LOL So I HAD to take him. Plus, I needed to get my rings inspected anyway and I have been putting it off for a while now, so I said - lets go. He got a $10 monster truck mater because they didn't have the one with the remote control...it is only available online. At first he was so excited, but by the time we got home, he kept telling me that I got the wrong one...he needs the one with the remote. So, I took it from him and told him I was going to give it to a little boy who would love it and play with it. About 5 minutes later he asked me for it back, I told him it wasn't his anymore and he said, "mommy, please, I love him!" So I said okay and tried to give him a little talk about being ungrateful - I doubt he got that whole thing, but what ever. Later I talked to Brittany (JR's sister) who informed me that she and Carol (JR's mom) were going to go in half for the Monster Truck Mater with the remote control...I told her to contact a few other people and go in thirds or fourths because $50 plus shipping was far to much to pay for a toy...but she said it went on sale and was only $35! So woohoo. I still think its a little pricey, but she said she would talk to Jason (JR's brother) and see if they wanted to chip in...which makes me feel better. I just figure that everyone coming is a really big gift in itself. Not to mention the money they have to spend to travel...I just hate for them to spend too much money on my kid. It was a really good day yesterday, Logan was sweet and fun and hasn't stopped playing with the truck...JR brought him home some magnetic iron man toy and that was a big hit! My dad called to tell me he was at Wal-Mart and couldn't find any Maters....LOL - to hear my dad say it...trust me - its funny. He said he was headed to Targer to look some more...I told him it could be anything...Lightning, spiderman, Toy Story, Ironman, Batman...anything as long as it didn't have small parts that Landry could choke on! I am really excited about his party...he talks about it all the time.."Pizza Party" LOL
JR said on his facebook yesterday that Logan was his first miracle...well I am going to amend that. JR was my first miracle, Logan was my second, and Landry my third. I am so proud to be his mom - he is so wonderful!

Your dad is so sweet! Ya, after we got to your house, I was rethinking the Lite Brite. I realized there were all those small pieces that Landry could get a hold of. Hopefully that won't get too out of hand!
Well we are trying to keep it in our office, I go in there and play with him while Landry sleeps, or sometimes we shut the door and leave Landry in the living room with her dad...JR left the door open yesterday and she got into it, but we cleaned it up quickly - and Logan was ticked that she messed up his ice cream cone design LOL...We try to keep anything that requires supervision in the office..but even then, Landry is a little fart and loves to get into stuff!
