Weekend Fun

Wow....this weekend was FUN! JR's sister, Brittany, and another friend, Robyn her boyfriend and two kids came to stay with us. They got here Friday night. We stayed up talking for a while, and making jell-o shots, then retreated to bed to get plenty of rest for Saturday.
My sister, Randi, and her two kids met us at the house on Saturday and we all loaded up and headed to the river. My best friend, Dana, met up with us as well as my sister's friend, Evelynn, and her son. JR made a stereo cooler during the week, so that came with us and was AWESOME. We had 9 adults and 7 kids floating, and it was a blast. Robyn's kids are 13 and 9, Mason is 8, Isabella will be 8 next month, Isaiah will be 5 in a few months, Logan who is 3 and Landry at 9 months...so it was easy to keep up with them since most of the kids are just that, kids...as opposed to MY babies. We floated the river and tied off towards the end for several hours...the kids played on the rope swing and had a great time. We had such a wonderful time and people kept coming up to join us! LOL Probably one of m favorite river trips this summer! Landry got to make a few friends...we met a 6 month old baby girl and an 11 month old baby girl and although Logan was all about playing with Isaiah, he even made a new friend that was 3 as well.
We got off the river about 7:30 and headed to the Salt Lick....ummmm, seriously the best Bar B Que in the world. By the time we got home we all CRASHED. JR had to be at work at 6:30, and wasn't to thrilled about being in the sun and hungover, but he got to come home for a few hours between 10:30 and 12:30 before heading back. He got home around 5 and proceeded to go straight to sleep...LOL! Poor guy!
While all the kids were here, they played the Wii, and Logan started playing, Something he hasn't done in about 4 or 5 months...now, it's ALL he wants to do!
Today was a LAZY day..well, not for JR, but for the rest of us. Randi and the kids left the house around 1 to go back to the river with some of her friends. She invited me and the kids....and it would have been fun, but I just couldn't do it. The kids and myself needed to recover. ME, probably more so than the kids...but still!
Hope everyone else's weekend was as wonderful as mine! JR will be working this weekend and then we will head to Houston for our nephew's, Davin, 4th birthday! We can't wait to see him!
