Getting rid of JUNK!

This past weekend JR went out to clean the garage....whew! It was A LOT. We had all this baby stuff that we no longer use, plus our old above ground pool....basically, we had a bunch of stuff that is just wasting space, and collecting dust. So I went out on Monday and took pictures of everything and posted it all on craigslist! I am shocked at how fast it all is going so far I have sold a huge bulk of it...and made $125 in the process! WooHoo! Anyway, I have spent the last couple of days driving to meet up places, I am hoping to get a few more items sold, but for now...sitting and resting is good enough for me! LOL
We leave Saturday morning for Houston...we will leave around 8, and get there around noon. The party starts at 1:00 and Logan couldn't be more excited! I told him we were going to see Davin for his birthday party and since telling him, I am questioned 20 times a day about when we are leaving to see Davin!!! LOL Unfortunately he doesn't really grasp the idea of time, nor is his memory as short as it used to be! LOL
Well, that's about it for today! Hopefully I will get more stuff sold - I put all my "earnings" into the floor fund, I am hoping to add more to it! (Can you tell how badly I want to get rid of the carpet?)
Oh...tomorrow night we have a babysitter...JR and I are going to dinner and happy hour with JR's company...woohoo! I am excited to do something outside of the house! Looks like its going to be a good weekend!

Happy hour?! That sounds like an excellent evening to me. I'm just not cut out for the night life anymore - I get too tired. Happy hour is a perfect medium.

I've never sold anything on Craigslist before. Do you post the cost plus the cost of shipping? Or do you lump the cost of shipping into the cost of the item?

Happy hour was PERFECT....We got home about 9:00. The night life isn't really for me either...at least not anymore!

On craigslist, you sell items to people in your area so there is no shipping cost. You make an agreement with them to either meet at a halfway point, or for them to come to your house and pick up the item. I usually meet up with people unless it is something like furniture...or something that is really heavy. We sell stuff on there all the time. You should try it. I told JR that if I dont get a job soon, I was going to start stalking garage sales, to pick out stuff that I can buy for cheap and sell for a profit! Hahaha
