This weekend was a change of pace for us. JR went out on Friday night and I stayed home with the kids. If you are thinking..wow, JR seems to go out quite a bit - you are thinking the same thing I am. This makes 3 weekends in a row he had gone out. I am torn on the subject. I tell him I dont care if he goes out, as long as he doesn't spend too much and is responsible, and I dont have the desire to go, it shouldn't really bother me. At the same time, I don't understand it. I would rather him stay home with us, especially since I still wasn't feeling well, but it wasn't an arguement I felt like having so I just let it be. It certainly isn't something I want to get used to though.
On Saturday, I was still coping with pain management so I slept quite a bit. We had plans to take the kids swimming, but I just couldn't muster the energy. JR ended up taking Logan to a friends pool in Austin for a couple of hours, while Landry and I stayed home. She is a handful! We cuddled and read books. We played for a bit, then she got a bath and I was able to shower, hoping that it would pick me up a little - it didn't. We played dress up, and she let me play with her hair. I was able to give her her first french braid. CUTEST thing ever! LOL
On Sunday, we went in to San Marcos. We FINALLY dropped of JR's wedding ring. He was sized for the new one. His original was a 13 and he will be getting it back in a size 10.5 Pretty crazy to think that in losing the 90 pounds his fingers also went down 2.5 sizes. I also sent mine in to be rhodium plated and resized as well. My engagement ring (which was always a bit too big) was a size 7 and my wedding band was a 6.5 have to be resized to a 5.5 - I was pretty shocked. When I first got my engagement ring, I knew it was a little loose, but I kind of liked it that way, so if my fingers were to swell or anything, there would still be plenty of space. I will be getting mine back on Sept.3, but JR wont be getting his until the end of Oct. but I am so happy that he will be able to wear his wedding ring again! From there we headed to Wal-mart...I rarely go there anymore but my mom had found Isaiah these really great outfits for school that were only $8. So we got there, we got his school supplies and headed to the clothes department, and unfortunately we couldn't find the outfits I was looking for. We found one little shorts and shirt set, and Logan found a Buzz Lightyear shirt that is pretty funny, so we left and headed to Kohls. We found NOTHING there was not a single pair of shorts in the enitre boys department and most of the shirts were long sleeve. I was so freaking irritated. So then, we headed to to Target. We actually found several different shirts and a couple of shorts, and a new pair of shoes. We got him some new pajamas and Landry 2 new pajama dresses and some big girl princess panties. It is time to get hardcore about getting her potty trained. Of course at this time I had realized it was tax-free weekend, so I finally understood why ALL the Smalls were gone. There was a plethera of Mediums and Larges, and even some extra smalls...but apparently EVERY kid in the town is a Small! Afterwards we headed home after a very long day.
I am still on the mend with this whole mouth thing. For the most part, the pain is manageable with Ibuprofen and tylenol. I still have today and tomorrow left for the antibiotic. Each day the knot seems to go down a little bit more. As for now, you can't see it visibly, but the know can still be felt. The other big problem is that this has seemed to cause some sort of lock jaw thing. I can only open my mouth so far befor it it hurts so badly at the back of my jaw and into my ear. This makes eating difficult. I can only open my mouth so far, so getting food into my mouth can be tricky...then I have to be careful about chewing. Basically, I have only been able to eat about 2/3 of every meal, I am hoping this goes away soon. But I am supposed to call the dentist tomorrow to inform her of my progress and I will be sure to tell her about my jaw. Yawning is extremely painful, and unfortunately I seem to yawn ALOT! Funny how I never noticed before!
We will be going to meet the teacher on Thursday, and Logan will have his first day of school a week from tomorrow! We are all very excited!
