Weekend Fun!
This weekend was a blast! My dad and his team were off this week, so there was no football game on Friday night. Instead, we had a group of people over to the house to play poker. Unfortunately we didn't get started until 9:00 and were still up at the wee hours of the morning. We had a blast though. On Saturday, we slept in late!!!OF course, then we headed over to Buda (the next town over) to the FireFest! It was a lot of fun, they had all kinds of stuff for kids...they had about 15 inflatable moonwalks...a bungy thing, baby turtles, a petting zoo, pony rides, etc. They had all kinds of little booths, one of them had all kinds of little tutu's and pettiskirts. I really wanted to get one for Landry's birthday...but I decided to wait and see what else I found. We spent an obscene amount of money...$5 corn dogs..geesh! We ate so much food. JR and Keith entered a washers contest. We watched the bull riding...where one of the cowboys got thrown and dislocated his shoulder. I dont know why it is so thrilling to watch, but I have been going to rodeos since I was a little girl and the bull riding has always been my favorite, followed my the little kids riding the sheep, and then the barrel racing! Anyway, we had an amaizing time...Then JR and Keith went to Wal-Mart up the road to buy some chairs for the concert. Mark Chesnut was the main event. For those of you who dont know who he is, he was HUGE during the 90's - Google him and listen to some of his music and I promise you will know who he is. Well, when I was in the 4th grade He had a song called, "Bubba shot the Jukebox". It was one of my favorite songs. I sat down and rewound it over and over again and wrote down every word. LOL Well, It was GENIOUS for the boys to go get us all chairs, because it would have been torture. We had a great time enjoying the show, I was lucky enough to have a light jacket in the car, and I had Landry's Winter Coat in there as well, AND I happened to have a small blanket. Landry was wearing her jeans and a t-shirt, so I put on her coat and zipped her up, but after she fell asleep, I was still concerned about her being cold, so I snuggled the blanket all around her. I was wearing shorts and a spaghetti strap shirt - so I was FREEZING...but when Logan fell asleep in his shorts and t-shirt I couldn't help but think he was cold so I gave him my coat. Luckily, just when I thought I would freeze to death - My sister, gave me her sweater for a little while. We left around midnight and spent the entire day Sunday relaxing and watching football. All in all - it was a pretty spectacular weekend!
