Today was eventful!!! I was woken up at 4:30 by JR, who was getting ready for work. He wanted to let me know that not only did the paycheck go through, but so did our tax return! Yay! JR didn't have a full day of work so when he got home this afternoon, we went to lunch and then to best buy to get his new laptop! The internet people are coming tomorrow so that we can use both laptops at the same time. Right now we have broadband...which we are keeping so that JR can take it with him to work and still have internet access! I am hoping to get a new laptop as well, but I think we are going to have to wait about a month! Anyway...mine works just fine, its just old and I like JR's! LOL! The point is, I wont be broken hearted if I have to wait a little longer for a new one!
After we got the computer, we headed to the furniture store. We went about a month ago and picked out a new living room set...couch, loveseat, and chair with an ottoman. It all happened so fast that by the time we left I just wasn't feeling so sure about our choice. For one, I said I wanted something that reclined...it did not. I also said that I didn't want an ottoman (we have had them so far, and I dont particularly like them...they seem to get in the way)...somehow we picked something with an ottoman. JR really liked it so I just said whatever...the salesman was getting on my nerves...he wouldn't stop talking, Landry was getting hungry, and Logan was tired and cranky - it wasn't a pleasant experience. Anyway, before we left I saw this BEAUTIFUL red leather set that I fell in love with! Unfortunately it was 3500 for the sectional (with I also said I did not want) plus another 500 for the recliner! So, I said goodbye to my pretty red leather furniture and settled for the brown set. When we went back today, however, JR secretely bargained with the salesman and when he met me sitting over on the red furniture, he said he could sell me the sectional for 1999. Great deal, but I said I wasn't interested in the sectional...which is when he showed me that the wedge could be taked out, and then it was just two couches (well Couch and loveseat) I was ALMOST sold, but I said, it just wouldn't be worth it to me without the reclining chair (even though the sofa and loveseat are both recliners!!!) So he asked, "If I give you the sofa, loveseat, and chair...no wedge, for 1999, will you buy it right now?" I looked at JR who nodded, and smiled and told the man he had a deal!!! I can't believe we got 2 grand knocked off the original price!!!! Anyway, we paid the extra money to have it delivered....and here I am at 12:15 a.m. STILL waiting! I am so tired, and JR has to work tomorrow, so he is sleeping....but my furniture is ......HERE...They just showed up YAY! Gotta go!
