On Saturday, we woke up early (well, I didn't get any sleep) but we were up bright and early to watch the sun come up. At 10:00 we headed over to the flag pole to say the pledge and meet Yogi Bear.
From there we headed over to the putt putt area to play a round of mini golf. I think I managed to play 2 holes. Landry was more interested in the clubs than actually trying to play. Logan and Davin seemed to have about as much fun as JR and Jason, while the rest of us took pictures! LOL
After a little over an hour at the putt putt area we were drenched with sweat, so we all headed back to our cabins to change into swimsuits, and headed over to the pool. Since there were more adults, we were able to enjoy ALL the water slides. I was sure that Logan wouldn't go down the big spiral slide, but he LOVED it...He did it over and over and over again. While I was impressed, I thought okay, well there is no way he will go down the HUGE 200ft slide, but again - he shocked us all, he was a pro! After seeing it, I am convinced that he is ready to trek over to Schlitterbahn. It is insanely expensive, and I haven't wanted to spend that kind of money only to sit in the Lazy River all day...I can do that for free, at the real river. My only concern is that Landry isn't quite ready for Schlitterbahn, well, of course she isn't - but I mean she wont be ready by next summer either...so we may be looking at Summer 2013 - but we will see.
After about 2 hours at the water park, Landry fell asleep in the shade on a lounge chair, she slept for about an hour before JR took her back to the cabin so she could continue the nap and he could watch the Texas A&M game. By 3:00 Logan and I took a 45 minute nap there on the lounge chair, then went back for some water play. Then we went over to the ice cream social, before heading back to change out of our wet clothes. Jason and Lisa rented a golf cart, so we took the kids all around the park. Can I just say that after what happened to my cousin Tracy, I wasn't really thrilled about all of that. I know what happened was just one of those crazy things, but I was pretty nervous the whole time. We stopped by a fire truck to take some pictures, then headed back for dinner. We were supposed to go to a dance, but dinner took too long and we didn't make it. We had just enough time to pop some jiffy pop and head over to the outdoor theater to watch Scooby Doo. All the kids were awesome...they all sat quietly and watched. Davin fell asleep with about 30 minutes left in the movie, Landry fell asleep with about 15 minutes left, and of course Logan was awake for the entire thing, but fell asleep within 2 minutes of getting back to the cabin! LOL
Talk about doing A LOT in one day! It was so much fun!
