Saturday and Sunday

Saturday morning I got up with Landry and started the finishing touches on our packing...JR finally got up at about 8 and we didn't get out of the house until a little after 10:00. The trip to Houston wasn't as bad this time around...but it still wasn't wonderful. Logan cried the last hour of the trip...He kept saying "I want to sit in Mommy's lap." Landry did okay...she had her moments, but Logan never took a nap, so he was the bigger pain. Before we got to the hotel, we stopped at Men's Warehouse to try to find a matching shirt and tie for JR's new suit. Well, we found one...but we were in a hurry, so when the guy rang it up, I realized that his shirt was $90....for a freaking shirt!!! I didn't feel like driving around looking for another store, so I just said screw it, and we paid the $130 for a shirt and tie! Grrrr! As soon as we checked in, we unloaded the car and put on our swimsuits and headed to the pool. The kids had a great time. Some of our friend joined us at the pool and we just had a nice time hanging out. I OF COURSE, waited too long to start getting ready for the wedding, so I was literally pulling rollers out of my hair as I walked out the door, and I had to put my makeup on in the car.

I am really irritated - I just wrote this whole blog and lost my internet connection and it didn't save it! Ughhhh

The wedding was very pretty..there were 10 bridesmaids, and 0 groomsmen..I dont know how they all fit in the little church! It was a traditional wedding. The Bride - Stefanie - looked stunning, she found the perfect dress for her body. She looked radiant. Our very good friend, Desmond, looked so handsome! It was so nice to see him look so happy. He was like a big brother to me in college so it was a little emotional for me!
The reception was at Cole's Country. It was this quaint little country indoor/outdoor place. It was perfect for the amount of people that were in attendance. The bar and food stations were outside..so that is where a lot of people hung out. There were tables inside and out. We wanted a table inside, but after they turned the A/C on, I had to keep going outside just to thaw out! LOL It really was beautiful. We got back to the hotel about 12:30 only to change into our swimsuits and go to the pool. There were so many of us from the wedding hanging out so it was nice of the hotel staff to allow us to do it. All they said was to clean up and not be too loud. Which I think we did a good job of, because they never came out to get on to us. We finally went back to the room about 4 in the morning.
Sunday we argued over who was going to get up with the baby! LOL we were both hungover. (By the way, my sister Vanessa came to watch the kids...she stayed at the hotel with us so that we could go out!) I won the battle, so JR took her down to have breakfast while I slept another 30 minutes. I got up, and checked Logan...It was then that I realized I forgot to tell Vanessa that he needs to sleep in a diaper. I was shocked that he hadn't peed yet so I went down to meet JR and Landry and eat some breakfast. When we got back to the room Vanessa was changing Logan...I guess he peed! LOL So I took Logan and Landry and Vanessa down for breakfast so JR could snooze. When we got ack to the room I got the kids in their swimsuits, and put mine on. Then started packing up all of our stuff. I got the car loaded and finally got JR up. He put his swimsuit on and he and Vanessa took the kids to the pool so that I could go check out. We met up with a group of friends...and I learned a valuable lesson....the pool is a wonderful hangover cure! LOL We hung out until about 2 then changed out of our swimsuits and left to get something to eat then headed home. It was such a wonderful weekend, but it was sooooo nice to get home! The kids both slept the majority of the ride! YAY!
