Fun weekend!

I don't even know where to start. We had so much fun this weekend. We went up to HOuston on Friday night to stay with some friends. We played poker, craps, black jack. We drank and drank some more. We were up until 6:30 in the morning. It was so very much fun.

On Saturday we got up, after very few hours of sleep, and got ready for Landry's party at the Children's museum. I had never been, so I honesyly didn't have any sort of plan, so we just made our way through the rooms. Logan was a mad man. He was very interested in pretty much everything. Landry enjoyed the magnets. LOL Once we got outside Landry got a little more involved in the playing. Logan wanted to go back in, but it was really neat. All the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves. Most of the kids were soaking wet - OOPS! It was a really great time. At the end, we had cupcakes on top of the parking garage! Bwahaha! Let's just say I am not a party planner! LOL

After the party we had to find a JC Penney's so that JR could buy some clothes. It took about an hour and a half to find the store, find something to wear, and get back to Brittany's to change, which made us 30 minutes late to the wedding shower we were trying to get to for one of JR's friends from High school. Oops! Luckily, no one really noticed as there were plenty of people, and more arrived after we did! I love JR's friends. Oddly enough I actually know quite a few of them from our days at Texas A&M at Galveston. It was really fun to hang out with everyone. His high school was so different from mine..for one it was a private school. Two, it was an all boys school. Another big difference was that the people in my school(S) were always trying so hard. I dont know what they were trying for, but it was always something. Trying to fit in, to have the best story, to be better than the person on their left....I don't really know how to explain it. JR's friends were just normal people. They were all easy going. Even when JR wasn't around I never felt excluded. Sure it helped that I knew a few of them...but honestly it was more of a conversation starter because I only knew these people for a few months and haven't seen them again in 10 years. Except for one...the groom to be. The point is, I love all those guys, and I totally understand why JR would miss his glory days of high school. In fact, everyone was referring to the wedding shower as the pre-game warm up to the actual 10 year reunion. After I had seen that most of the guys were drinking whiskey (and a lot of it) I thought that we wouldn't make it to the actual reunion. We were all having a really great time, and after hearing the stories - apparently they hung out like that every weekend.

Around 9:30 we left for the actual reunion in downtown Houston. IT was even more fun than being at the house. I refrained from drinking very much. I only had about a beer an hour...and it was the smart thing to do because JR, or BillyBob as all his friends called him, had enough to drink for an army! I wish I had enough time to tell some of the stories form these guys...it is literally crazy to think of all the crap they pulled and got away with. It's even more impressive that they are all very lucky to be alive.

Luckily we stayed at a hotel close by because I was so tired. The drive back from Houston was rough. Thankfully I wasn't hung over. JR drove half of the way, and I drove the other. By the time we got home we all took a 3 hour nap! It was such an amazing weekend, but man - I am still tired from it!

I'm glad you guys were able to make it to everything AND have fun! Sometimes I plan too much stuff at once and end up tired and cranky and overwhelmed.

I enjoyed this post. Not sure why, since it was pretty basic info. Kept me entertained??

well if entertainment is what you are looking for...I forgot (okay I purposely) didn't mention that after we left the bar, JR and I went to a late night strip club! LOL I was kind of disappointed because the dancers were definitely on the B squad...but it was still fun in a wierd way! LOL
