I figure I should blog a bit before it becomes overwhelming.
First, Christmas was FANTASTIC. We decided to just spend Christmas at home. Logan is in total understanding about Santa and I didn't want to explain that Santa can either leave presents at our house for when we get back or he can take them to where we are going. My parents always did that and it never made a lot of sense to me..only because some years, Santa brought our stuff to my Nanny and Papa's house and some years he left the toys at our house....if they would have been consistant it wouldn't have been a big deal. Anyway, not having the stress of family or travelling was really awesome, plus we got to do whatever we wanted...we weren't on a schedule to get there or do this....it was awesome. However now that stress and anxiety is catching up. We are going out of town this weekend to visit JR's grandmother in Houston, then his mom, and my grandmother in Galveston. Hopefully, we can swing by to see his brother and Lisa as well. BUT - of course my whole family is in Galveston right now, and I dont know when they are coming back, but my mom wants us to get together and do dinner. Ughhh. It's Wednesday people. Make some freaking plans. Then I have JR who gets frustrated with me because he doesn't think we should have to bend over backwards to accomodate my mom - which he is right...but still I want to see my mom and dad and sister and my niece and nephew!
I am in the process of researching cameras. This is taking me a while because I started with just the regular point and shoot, and worked my way over to the dSLR which are high end expensive cameras which I can't afford and even if I could they intimidate the heck out of me! So I am looking at some in between. I have narrowed it down to Nikon and Canon which by most reviews say that these are the top two brands...but then I find a Lumix where every comment says that its amazing. GRRR! So, I am about to head out of amazon reviews and check out some professional reviews. Hmmm...At this time my favorite is the Nikon Coolpix L120 which is kind of a hybrid...its is a point and shoot camera, but has dSLR qualities. It is more expensive than what I have ever paid for a camera..but I really like it.
Our builder called yesterday about the problems I mentioned before on the house. The french doors to the bedroom is an easy fix and will be done hopefully this week. The bathroom - he said we could leave it how it is and gain extra closet space or they can fix it...I said FIX IT! Apparently, KB has changed the plans for our model recently and when the main office sent the blue prints they sent the new ones instead of the ones we agreed upon. The builder says it isn't a huge fix and can probably get that squared away this week as well. He said he never even noticed it, and since they are building several models the same as ours he was going to go check each one and contact the buyers to see what they wanted to do! (Good Catch, SARA!) The other problem is the framing and foundation at the edge of the garage...he said he was going to have to go look at it personally and get back to us. So, looks like the issues are being fixed promptly...but then I got to thinking, and I have to go back by today, because I dont know if they have our closets done correctly! LOL...
They delivered the brick yesterday, so they should start on that either tomorrow or next week! Only a month and a half away!
