Weekend Update:
So this weekend we went up to Chris and Alexa's home for Nikki's baby shower! She was so adorable. I had so much fun watching her open the gifts. I am a very wierd girl in the fact that I am not big on showers...I dont particularly like bridal or baby showers...This one was great!!!! There was so much going on, and everyone seemed to be having a really good time. Nikki was just way too cute. The way she would giggle at some of her gifts, and it would crack me up. I can't wait for the baby to get here...she is going to be such a great mom. JR and I got her a little piggy bank, some bibs, receiving blankets, a gift basket of baby bath stuff....with a Goodnight Moon book included, and I FINALLY finished her blanket. I made Lil Wodie a blanket..and forgot to take a picture of it...it is blue, yellow, and white. It was my first blanket to make, so hopefully it stays intact...but I was pretty impressed with it! The baby bath stuff, was full of my favorite product...Johnson & Johnson Bedtime Bath. The basket has the wash, shampoo, massage gel, some rags, and a towel....but I specifically picked it because of the book!
After the shower, we drove up to Spring for my sister-in-law's crawfish boil. I got to have my lovely corn! YAY! I sure hope this baby likes corn!!! Logan played with a little boy who was around his age. They found a couple of pool floats and decided they were toys...both boys got in one of the loungers and laid together for a few minutes...Logan just laughed and laughed. then they used them like trampolines and jumped all over them...it was hilarious...and it entertained them for about half an hour which was nice...I got to sit for a bit. It was also nice to hear people say that I looked great for 4 months, and that some people didn't even notice...although I did wear a flowy type shirt. It was nice to see Logan interacting with other kids. He really was interested in the pool and all the kids that were swimming. After a while the kiddie pool section finally cleared out so I stripped Logan down and I put him in there...I was wearing shorts so I stood in there with him...he wore this ducky floaty that goes around his waist and on each arm...he was having so much fun playing with a basketball. I wanted to see his what his reaction would be if he couldn't touch the bottom, so I pulled him into the middle and let go (dont forget he had a floatation device...I wasn't going to let him drown) His reaction was HILARIOUS....but the poor thing was TERRIFIED. JR and I cracked up, then I grabbed him so that he could put his feet back down...he was so scared that he wouldn't lower his feet and was hanging on to me for dear life. It is one of those "had to be there things" his face was seriously priceless.
Sunday- I went out to do some community service....I got home aroud 4:15...it was really neat to see how JR did all by himself. We have been doing pretty well with keeping the house clean. JR was supposed to work on getting the dogs outside...I do not want them in the house ANYMORE. The problem is that my house constantly stinks, and it is the dogs fault. I like my dogs, but I want them out of my house.
Next weekend we have Mother's Day at the beach and then I am going to do community service again on Sunday! Then, finally, the week after that we will have a weekend with nothing to do!!! Well I shouldn't jinx it!
I haven't heard any news on my grandfather...but should be talking to my grandmother this evening...thank you for everyones kind words!
