Last night after working out and another evening of painful knees, I decided I had to do something about this problem. I was outside talking to my neighbor Travis, and I was demonstrating something I had been doing earlier that day, when BAM! POP! OUCH! my right knee popped, it was painful, but I thought, "it's been worse" so after a little complaining, I decided I would go to the doctor today.
I took a pain killer before bed and ended up having the most disturbing dream. I woke up freaked out and couldn't get it out of my head, so I was up for about an hour trying to figure out how to get back to sleep. Logan woke up at 8:00....so that is what time my day began....Grrrr!
At about 10:30 Logan and I headed down to Galveston, I went to the Urgent Care office and had my knees checked. I was expecting the doctor to tell me that my arthritis had gotten worse, so I was shocked when she said the scariest word...SURGERY! It turns out that I have torn the medial meniscus in both of my knees. From what she can tell, my right knee is worse than my left. She told me to start wearing a knee brace and I have to take anti-inflamatory medication everyday for two weeks. Then I will have an MRI to determine how bad the tears are. Grrrr! I know that surgery is the last resort, but when she said that I would most likely be needing surgery in my right knee...well that is not what I wanted to hear, nor what I expected to hear.
I dont know what to do.....I dont want surgery, if I wanted to have surgery, I wouldn't be working out, I would go and have all the fat sucked out of my body and then have a tummy tuck, a boob lift, a nose job, and all the extra flab taken off my arms, thighs, calves, and butt! The point is, I dont want surgery, if I did, I would look amazing!

SO PROUD OF YOU!!!
HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!
This is a great thing you are doing here...it is so nice to read and keep up with what you and the family are doing!!
Miss y'all!!
Take good care of your knee and you can avoid surgery....make sure to get another opinion prior to making any decisions about surgery.
Wow - you don't need any of that extra surgery. Plus, you wouldn't have the added bonus of feeling great (from your cardio work-outs) if you just did surgery! Good luck with the doctors.
