Its March 3, which means there are only 20 days until my baby boy is a 4 year old. I honestly CAN NOT believe it.
Anyway - so March...its only the 3rd, but I feel as though I have had my one allotted "REALLY BAD DAY" of the month. -
Yesterday...everything was going fine. I woke up at 6:15 got my sweats on and went for my run. I got back home, did some yoga stretching, and some toning exercises. I made breakfast, poured a cup of coffee, I had my computer time and at 8:00 Landry woke up. I made her cereal, and a cup of milk and starting hanging more pictures. All was going well. At 10:00 Logan finally graced us with his presence, I made his cereal...all three dang bowls! I continued working on the pictures..By noon I made a snack for all of us, yogurt and fruit, and the kids got some granola added to theirs. Dish Network came by to hook up the internet to the tv so that we can use our phones as a remote??? And we can record a show using our phones from anywhere in the world. (Do we need this - NO, We will probably never use it...but its free, so JR says, Hey why not!) Landry woke from her nap a little while later - about 1:00. You know the quote from Frankenstein..."IT'S ALIVE"...well this is where things get bad. I go outside to check the mail and pull the trash can, and decided to pick up some of the trash that was in the yard that was left behind because it drives me crazy. I had just put a pizza in the oven for the kids lunch and I see that the pizza should come out in about 5 minutes so I head back inside....only the door is closed and LOCKED. I bang on the door and get Logan talking to me through the door. He tells me "it's locked mommy" - ummm, no shit! So I am trying to stay calm and tell him what to do to unlock the door, I know that yelling will only impede this process, so I am talking him through and after about 5 minutes he gets the bottom one unlocked...okay so now we need the deadbolt unlocked. I ask about sissy, and he tells me that she is on the table!!! AWESOME - So you lock me out and go hog wild...By this time Logan is frustrated, and he just keeps repeating that I need to get the keys...THE KEYS ARE INSIDE THE HOUSE. I have been outside for about 7 - 8 minutes, and things just aren't happening, so I make a decision...I leave the house with my children locked inside and I run to the sales office in hopes that since we are leasing, they will have a spare key. Now when I say run - I mean I sprinted as fast as my little legs would carry me. Luckily I was right, they had a key, and I ran back to the house, unlocked the door - and took the pizza out of the oven. Then I grabbed both kids, took them both to the door and explained that they are NEVER EVER to touch the locks on the door. EVER!! EVER!! Logan cried and said he was sorry. Then he showed me the computer that Landry had knocked off the table and had a lovely message telling me I needed to load my boot disc to set up the computer...so everything had to be started over. I worked on that while the kids ate burnt pizza! Then, we loaded up and headed to HEB for the next 4 days worth of grocery...I was there for nearly 2 hours...the kids were - "kids" actually they were really great considering how long we were there. The grocery bill was $120...but it wasn't just groceries so I guess I just need to deal with it. Plus the lady that checked us out gave each of the kids an extra buddy buck...so Logan left in a much happier mood. We got back about 4 and I put away all the stuff, Landry went down for a nap...and I FINALLY got to eat lunch. I was exhausted by this point. I decided to rest. At 5:45 I started on dinner - Homemade chicken and vegetable soup. I was cutting the cabbage when oops, my finger got in the way and I sliced it - only it hurt IMMEDIATELY,and it SCARED me, I jumped - the knife slipped from my hand fell to the floor but not before slicing through the back of my leg...right above my achilles. At first it didn't hurt so badly so I thought it was superficial...so I was walking in circles and trying to find bandaids and neosporin for my throbbing, bleeding finger. Then I see blood on the floor, and I would have thought it was my finger, but I felt a cold trickle on me heel. I looked down and my leg was gushing. I tied a wet rag around it while I was still in search of the medicine. Finally, I get the bleeding under control and bandaged, I try to finish cutting veggies...Finally dinner is on the stove...JR gets home he helps with the chicken - I put Landry in the bath tub. Now let me sidetrack for a moment. Landry is 16 1/2 months old. Usually when she eats, she eats finger foods. This way she can feed herself...I usually give her a fork so that she can work on it, but this way its easier for me to clean. Last night, however I gave her the cut up chicken breast, carrots, and applesauce mixed with granola. the chicken and carrots were easy finger foods, but the applesauce/granola was a spoon fed treat...Usually I would sit down and feed her myself, so that there isn't such a mess afterwards...but I was busy cooking and slicing myself open, and I figured she needs to learn anyway, so I let her do it herself. Now - she definitely made a mess...but she did eat a lot of it, and she did pretty well for her first time. - So Ladnry got a good scrubbing! JR and I ate dinner, I put Landry to bed. JR did the dinner dishes while I planned out the next day (today). My parents are coming to dinner Friday night, so we decided to switch things around..we are going to start this cycle with another day of chicken...and tomorrow night will be steak night. When JR was done in the kitchen I started making the brown rice that would be needed for today's lunch, then I made the cookies that are actually for next week. Well to end my crappy day - I burned the cookies and for some reason the rice never absorbed the water it was cooked in! So - that was it for me - I went to bed...hoping today would be better! We will see. As I said - I am only allowed 1 really shitty day a month and one really bitchy day a month. Yesterday was the shitty day - so at least its over...I now have the rest of the month free and clear! LOL - let's hope.

Wednesday!
Today is day 17 of our diet...which means that tomorrow we start another 17 day cycle - BUT...wait for it....Tomorrow we get to eat BEEF! So we are going to do it big. Top sirloin steak, baked sweet potato, sald and veggies! Yum! Now we still have to do portion control...JR and I cant eat huge steaks...but the idea is to fill up on the salad and veggies anyway...but still we get beef...I have been looking forward to this day for a while now (17 Days)! This second stage is about ramping up your fat burning, keeping your bodies metablolism off balance so that it continues to work throughout the day. The first cycle was about cleansing the body of toxins - sugars - fats - and getting your digestive system on a healthy track, as well as ridding the body of water weight. So, on cycle two - you eat new things, and larger portions of them one day - and the next you eat off of the cycle 1 menu...basically you go back and forth for 17 days!
JR is looking slimmer...at least to me he is. It's so weird to see him put on a shirt that isn't clinging to his belly for dear life...where you cant see the ring of where his belly button is..that really drives me crazy. Unfortunately, I think he is getting a little discouraged because no one at work seems to be noticing. I said, most people are just used to you being a heavy guy, so dropping 15- 20 pounds in two weeks...they just dont notice, plus - they are guys...guys dont pay attention to that sort of thing. Then I asked "Do you feel better?" YES "Are you happy to be putting healthy foods in your body and setting a better example for the kids" YES "Does it make you feel better to know that you are actually doing something about your weight rather than sitting around talking about how you should lose some?" YES - OKay then!
Me on the other hand...I started yesterday, which may be why I was craving all that chocolate last week...Seriously, I had 4 snickers bars in a week....ughhh. So Sunday when I weighed myself, I wasn't surprised to see that I went from 133.4 to 136.3 - Oh well...I got back on the scale today and was back down to 134.6 - I feel much better than I have before. And in all honesty the diet is so easy. I love the food...I am actually really starting to like chicken, I love the meals that have ground turkey!! Its great. Also, I started on Monday (so this is only day 3) but I have decided to wake up at 6 each morning to go for a run...if I wait until JR gets home, that means I can't go until 7:30...but we eat at that time and I would have to wait forever for my food to settle, and I can't run late at night or I would never sleep...so this seems to be the solution and other than the fact that it was 39 degrees this morning I really enjoy it! Hopefully I can keep it up. Seriously though - I dont care if I jump on the scale tomorrow and it say 140...I just want this band of fat around my tummy to GO AWAY...I told JR that it has until Valentine's Day of 2012 to go away...and if it is still there I am getting it surgically removed...I will not put up with it after that. We started the diet on Valentines day - so that gives it 365 days!!! Who know, maybe I can get my boobs lifted back up to where they were when I was 20...Man, I hate gravity...even my butt seems to be sliding down the backside of my legs! I would say LOL - but its not funny!
Anyway, Happy hump day....I am really hoping to finish my house today - except the office...I need all sorts of stuff for that room. And hopefully my parents can come to dinner tomorrow night for steak night!

getting late
I still have a lot to do around the house. I slacked off yesterday. I feel like I spent more time thinking about what I needed to do instead of actually doing them...so today I need to finish up or get as close to finished as I can. I am hoping to get to my parents house today to "shop" around in their garage... I think they have some book shelves and a queen size mattress and bedframe that I would like to fanagle from them! At least the book shelves would help get the office organized...that room is a disaster! LOL
I seriously need to get it done, because I would like to invite my parents over for dinner on Friday night - or Saturday, depending on when my mom works...I have no idea what I will cook for them though - LOL I told JR we need to make it beef or I have to make sure its cooked before they get here because if they knew they were eating ground turkey instead of ground beef...they would probably just order a pizza! LOL So - Hopefully they can come over soon...
JR is working so hard. I am so glad that his work has picked up so much..Its always such a strange adjustment...his work slows down - he is always at home - and we struggle financially. His work picks up - he is never home - we splurge financially! Seriously he leaves for work around 5:00am and doesn't get home until around 7:30pm! The he goes to bed around 9...he only sees Landry for an hour before I put her to bed, and most of that time is used for eating dinner. I guess I just wish I could have it both ways...I wish he could NOT work so much, but still make the money! LOL I guess we all wish that....wouldn't it be great to get paid for playing with your own children...I would be a millionaire! LOL

Almost done X2
#1 We are on day 15 of the first 17 day cycle...JR has lost about 15 pounds. His shirts are fitting better, I can actually throw them in the dryer without worry that they may shrink! Also, I feel that I need to correct myslef from earlier posts....I have said that my scale only goes up to 350 and so we had no idea of how much JR weighed, but apparently it was more than 350...Well, I was wrong my scale only goes up to 330, and so - we know he started off at more than that...he is still not under 330, but by placing a hand on the sink and taking just a slight bit of pressure off, the number will come up, so I am hoping he is only a week or less away from getting on the scale with no hands!!!
During the move, we cheated - We both had Chick Fil-A Grilled chicken salads both for Friday and Saturday night...but we removed the cheese, and had low fat balsamic dressing that we each only used a third of...hopefully we will be okay! LOL
I have cheated 4 times by having a snickers bar - I know, I know...but I wanted it, and its just that time that I NEEDED some chocolate! LOL
#2 We are almost done with the move. EVERYTHING is out of the old house and into the new one, the old house is spotless from top to bottom, and all that is left is to finish putting away the things at the new house. We are going to have to by some furniture...JR and I decided that we are going to try and do piece by piece, instead of going in the hole trying to get the whole house done in a week. Maybe - Hopefully, when we get the deposit back we can, buy a few more of the bigger ticket items. I am hoping that they will get this house leased out SOON..oh yeah - they decided to put the house for lease or sale and they raised the amount on the lease. Anyway, I dont care if someone buys it or leases it...I just want it done FAST. That way they can pro-rate the last months rent and send that back to us too! It really sucks to be paying rent for a house you dont live in anymore! LOL - OH well - had to finish out the lease agreement...unless of course they find someone to move in. Fingers crossed.

Sunday Frustration
So its sunday....we are all moved out, but there are still just a few more things to clean at the old house...and then we still have to put the new house together. The frustration comes in because I took Logan to the old house yesterday to start on the cleaning and JR stayed at the new house with Landry because she was taking a nap....Two and a half hours later they finally showed up to help. Well I was really pissed to find out that I had been working my ass off while JR was at the new house watching tv. Really??? he couldn't have found ONE thing to unpack or put away. Ughh - his excuse...he was really worn out. HMMMMMMM HELLLLLLLOOOO. So anyway...its irritating, but its typical, so it isn't worth arguing over...Today, while I take both kids back over to finish up the house - JR had to go into work for a few hours...its 8:30...Why didn't he leave at 6:00. I have been up since 7:00 working on the house! He really is frustrating sometimes...but it doesn't help that I am tired and sore, and TIRED!...So - trying to stay positive and upbeat. It isn't hard to figure out that at this point EVERYTHING is going to get on my nerves!

8:00 on a Saturday morning
Well, we are up early this morning....after breakfast we are headed back over to the old house to finish up. All that is left is the garage and cleaning...and the bedframes. JR brought the mattresses last night so we wouldn't have to sleep on the floor. I had brought Landry's crib yesterday afternoon so she would be able to nap so we really only had two choices...the floor or JR would have to move the mattresses by himself.
My sister was supposed to come over around 7:00 last night to help us out. But of course she flaked out...JR and I were and still are pissed. She has said all week that she could come by to help out but hasn't made it yet. It's not as if we even asked her to help us move or pack or unpack or clean anything...we were simply asking her to keep an eye on the kids so that we could do the work. Landry goes to bed around 8:30 and we were still working on bringing stuff over - we couldn't leave Landry at one house while we went to the other...DUH! but she didn't come and then she couldn't even be bothered to answer the phone and tell me...or better yet, instead of waiting for me to call her asking where in the hell she was...she could have just called to let us know she wasn't going to make it. I really am so sick of her. She came over on Thursday morning because she needed to use my internet...It was about 9:30 in the morning (she had just gotten off work and she was stoned out of her mind and drinking beer...seriously???At 9:30 in the morning? and she says she doesn't have a problem...hmmmm So I ask myself...should I even be upset with, should I expect anything different? Do I really want to leave my kids with her? NO...but I reasoned with myself and said that it would only be for 30 minutes at a time and that it would be okay...Landry would be sleeping and Logan would be watching a movie..it was just about having an adult in the house just in case. But she isn't an adult...she's a 30 year old drug addict and alcoholic.
How sad, can you imagine being 30 years old and a mother of two and not having a single thing to be proud of. I mean at the end of the day she can't sit back and say, "Man, its been a rough few years, but I handled it well and no matter what I am a great mom." Seriously, she can't even have the pride to say she's a good mom...does she love her kids? ABSOLUTELY Does loving your kids make you a good mom? not really. The thing about having kids and loving them means that you have to put them first...ALWAYS - their needs come before yours. You dont call your 2 year old a tit bag when she falls down and scrapes her knee...you dont tell you 8 year old that she is stupid and is going to a loser her whole life when she get a math problem wrong. You dont hug and kiss your 5 year old when he kicks another kid and tell him that the other boy needs to be tougher. You dont drive around drunk with your kids in the car, you dont take your kids with you to meet up with your dealer. I dont know - I thought these were pretty easy to figure out. Here's another one for you...you dont let your kids play out in the front yard, run across the street, and all over the neighborhood while you are sleeping. (at least not at their ages) She has no home, at least not one that she can call her own - not one that she pays for. She lives at home with mommy and daddy who pay for her and her kids. The roof over their head, the food in their bellies the electricity they use, the cable they watch, the water they use to bathe, EVERYTHING - she has NOTHING...Nothing to call her own, nothing to be proud of. How sad.
ANyway...enough of that....Hopefully we will be all done today with the moving...its going to be another long one, and I am still so sore! Ughhh! On a good note - Landry slept great in her new room last night!!! So happy it didn't take much for her to get adjusted!
Happy weekend everyone

Friday - Move Day
So yesterday morning I decided I was going to do some toning exercises. So I did some squats, lunges, push-ups, 3 different types of sit-ups/crunches, arm dips, hip exercises, etc...I honestly didn't do too much. I just pushed until I could feel the burn and then I did 5 more. I didn't feel like running, and to tell you the truth, of the 11 days we have completed of this diet, I have only exercised 3! So I figured I needed to start a program that would speed up how I wanted to look at the end of this. Let's face it, I can lose weight and still have a flabby ass at the same time! LOL The biggest problem with me working out yesterday was that we moved a LOT of heavy furniture last night. Our dresser, both the kids dressers, the IRON bakers rack, the big screen tv, the entertainment center, the kitchen table, another dresser type thing...and something else...today - I can barely move...I am so sore! EVERYTHING on my body hurts!
Every morning when I get up, I like to spend the first hour to myself (well pretty much) Of course, I make breakfast for myself and the kids and get my coffee...but this is the time of day that I get to read other people's blogs, write my own, check my email and my facebook. Usually if I dont write a blog, its because I was too busy to sit down and use the computer. This morning, afternoon, and evening is going to be busy, but I told myself that I would have my me time...We plan to get the rest of the house moved over today except for the couches and one large dresser/picture table....these things are far too heavy for me, and there is no way I can do it. So we have to wait until Saturday when a friend of ours can help JR...but I guess if a friend called me up and asked me to help her move, but we only had to move 4 items...I would call that an eady move LOL - However, these things weigh a TON!!! So, it looks like we will be sleeping in the new house tonight! I better get busy....I have a lot of stuff to get done- I have to be at the new house from 12 - 5 (unless, they finish before 5) because the cable and the internet people are coming to set up! Woo hoo!
Hope you all have a good weekend.
