Swimming!

We bought a pool yesterday, and spent forever last night setting it up...We started filling it up at 10:30 last night and didn't stop until 12:00 noon today...WOW! I can only imagine what the water bill will look like! JR and Logan spent all afternoon in it while I was at the fairgrounds, but the minute I got home, I put on my swimsuit and got in. It was awesome...tonight we are going to make burgers on the grill and maybe spend some more time in the pool, before the first shock treatment! Anyway, I am so excited....it is so nice and relaxing! I will take pics and post soon!

Bye Bye Wedding Ring :(

SO I just drove ALL the way to Bay Brook mall...Grrrr...in order to get my ring inspected because in order to keep my warranty and insurance I have to have it inspected every 6 months...This means I have about 3 more days to get it done...So I took it today, which I am glad I did because a few of the diamonds are loose, which means that it had to be sent off to get fixed, so I wont have it back until my birthday, June 14....so sad.

19 weeks

I still need to take a picture, but I will have to do that later. I can't believe that we will soon be having another ultrasound...YAY for Monday! It is crazy to think that I am half way to having this little baby in my arms...I say halfway, because I will be having a scheduled c-section, and my doctor says she will be doing that 1 week before my due date in order to reduce the risk of labor starting on its own, which would mean (emergency c-section) AHHHH. My mouth is feeling so much better and I am pretty sure my blood pressure is back to normal, although I didn't check it....the dizziness and headache are gone, which I am convinced was caused by the high blood pressure. I have a lot to do today, mainly just paying the bills, but I have to have my wedding rings inspected...I tried to go to the closest Kay Jewelers but they have closed....so now the closest one is at Bay Brook Mall...Ughhh...I dont want to drive all the way up there! But maybe I will pick up a new shirt or something while I'm there!

Crazy days!

Lets start with nights...we all know that pregnant women usually have some very intense dreams. Now that I am able to ***sleep through an entire night (more on that in a sec), I have been having very strange dreams about high school. I have heard that you usually dream about unresolved issues in your first trimester...I am in my second, so why I am I dreaming about these things??? I am ready for my dreams to move on to my future.!
*** The reason I am getting more sleep is because JR switched sides with me! **Logan is still in our room (more on this later), and he usually wakes me up by getting out of his bed and tying to get into ours seeing as how I sleep facing his bed, I am the one he wakes up! Also, he makes these wimpering sounds when he is uncomfortable or moving around which also wakes me up. So JR and I switched sides and now I make it through an entire night without waking up! YAY!
**We had planned on moving Logan's bed into his room this past weekend, but we chose not to...JR doesn't want to do it on a weekday because we know that the transition will be difficult at first which will cause all of us to get very little sleep. Since JR has to get up early, he would rather do it on days that he doesn't have to wake up and drive through Houston morning traffic...I agree with him! Too bad I have to wake up early on the weekends...but at least I get to take a nap at around 3:15.
The stress is getting to me... Last night I had a complete breakdown. Partly because I had a really hard day. I wasn't feeling well, and probably because my blood pressure was high. I am planning on going and having it checked again today...if it is still high, I plan on driving directly to my OB...I have called to let them know and haven't heard back from them which REALLY irritates me. Anywho, when JR finally got home I was crying I told him exactly what I needed...I needed his help and I was specific in what I needed help with....HE started off well, but I guess he got side tracked with the TV and computer, because nothing got done that I asked him to do. So now I am stuck picking up the house and doing all the dishes all by myself. I am once again in tears because I dont know how else to be more clear. I had such a horrible day, Logan was a little devil, and all I asked for was a little help, why is that so difficult? THe thing is, I dont allow him to treat me badly, but I wouldn't treat a person that I dislike this way. JR just seems to always do whats easiest for JR, even if that makes things harder for me. For example, we switched sides on the bed so that I could finally get some sleep...Well JR has decided that it is easier to just let Logan sleep with us. This makes it harder for me because it completely undermines the weeks I have spent getting him to sleep in his own bed. SO now I have to decide..do I move his bed into his room tonight which will be better for both JR and I in the long run, or do I wait another night, allowing JR to let Logan sleep with us for the third night in a row? We move on...for months I have been trying to 100% get Logan off the bottle, which means no night time bottle. Logan refuses to drink milk out of a sippy cup, so JR realizes that Logan will go to sleep much easier if he has his night time bottle...but it makes it more difficult for me because Logan thinks if he gets one at night, he can have one during the day!!! I am happy to say that after removing the bottles in the house Logan has gone 4 1/2 days without a single bottle...he still wont drink any milk, but the doctor says that at this point as long as he is getting plenty of fluids he will be fine without milk. If I am still concerned I can always give him vitamins to supplement! The other major issue with JR taking the easy way is the potty training...yes Logan is my son, but he is also JR's son...should JR take 50% of the responsibility in raising him? I know that JR does so much for us...but it has to be more than just financially supporting us. I started potty training Logan 2 weeks ago, but that really isn't accurate because we haven't done anything for the last week...Why? Because I dont feel like it is my sole responsibility and I would like JR to help me and because it would take to much work JR says, "he's not ready" (meaning Logan). Logan will bring us a diaper when he needs to be changed...he's already gone on the potty..He is ready, I think the truth is JR isn't ready to put forth any real effort. So I sit here crying wondering when JR is going to change, and yet if it hasn't happened in 3 years...will it ever? I guess the idea of having another baby in 4 1/2 months is really really scary knowing that i could very possibly be going through all of this again in a few short years...the only difference is that I will have 2 little ones under the age of 5.
I guess you could say the pressure is really starting to get to me!

Very rough day!

Today was a very rough day. It started last night when my tooth became abscessed (I dont know how to spell that!). I am sure that this was happening over time, I have had lots of problems with this ONE particular tooth. I was laying down taking a nap and when I woke up, the entire right side of my face was in excrutiating pain. I tried a few things and ended up taking tylenol. I was in so much pain I thought I would throw up. Finally it reached the point of calling my mother to see if I could get a hydrocodone from my grandfather, or going to the ER. Since I didn't think the ER would be able to do much for me and I couldn't bare the idea of being there for hours without being seen, I chose to call my mom. The deal was that she would meet JR at the Target in Galveston as it was kind of the half way point.....What I didn't count on was that it was Memorial Day and everyone was trying to leave the island. BTW it was 8:55 pm when I called her. JR FINALLY got home at 10:45. I thought I was dying. She gave me 3 pills I tool one immediately and another at about 4:15 in the morning, because I woke up in aweful pain.......OH I GUESS I SHOULD ALSO SAY THAT I CALLED MY OB/GYN BEFORE TAKING THIS AND IT WAS OKAYED. I got up around 7:30 this morning and decided to take tylenol. I called the dentist at 8...no answer...8:30 no answer....9 no answer...I left three messages and one on the emergency line....I got nothing. At 10:20 I loaded up Logan and we headed for the dentist. I dropped Logan off with my mom and ended up sitting at the dentist office until 3:45. They finally called my name, the nurse opened my chart and says, "Oh, your pregnant. There isn't anything we can do with out a medical waiver from your OB." WLKJHFLKSLKJHFLKF SDLIHF LJF. I went completely ape shit. First of all, when I got there, the first words out of my mouth were, "I am 18 weeks pregnant, is that going to be a problem?" No, maam! I was told. "Is there anything you need from me?" Just your insurance and ID. "You dont need anything from my doctor?" No, maam! The I waited and waited and waited....then a nurse called my name...I went in and filled out my Medical History...on the form I wrote that I was 18 weeks pregnant and I specifically asked if there would be a problem with me being seen due to the fact that I was 18 weeks pregnant. Nope, it would be fine, she says. By the time I got seen, I had been there for 5 hours...I was very irritated, they took my blood pressure which was 143/122 and then dismissed me....my irritation turned in to pure anger. Let's just say, I was not very nice when I left. I cried the whole way to my grandparents...I went to a few UTMB clinics to see if they could at least prescribe me something for the pain...it was a no go. Luckily my aunt showed up at my grandparents after she got off work...she just happens to be a doctor....she looked at the tooth and told me it was definitely abscessed and that I would need an antibiotic which she happily called in. She told me to rinse with warm water and put heat on it. BTW my face is swollen on the outside..."Godfather" style...She said that while ice would keep the swelling down, heat would extract the abscess faster. So that is my course of action. Hopefully I wont have any more problems with the tooth for the rest of my pregnancy, and afterwards I can have more work done on the tooth. I am still in a lot of pain. but at least I know it will go away soon. Wish me Luck.

pictures and flutters

Here are some pictures of the other day I said I would post. Also, baby is full of movement lately...the little movements are still sporadic and feel like a lots of fluttering but I still enjoy it. I am ready for the full blown kicks though and the all day activity...It was one of my favorite things about being pregnant with Logan...hopefully, this wish wont turn out to bite me in the ass...which by the way is huge! My thighs, ass, hips, even my arms are expanding by the second. I feel like I have some sort of air pump just going at it.

LOGAN DID IT!

YAY! Everybody clap your hands, sing a little song, and put a big smile on your face!!! Logan pee-peed in the potty. God knows if you would have told me four years ago, that watching a little boy potty in a toilet would be the highlight of my week, I would have slapped you! Sure enough, after days of working on it, Logan went potty last night! JR and I were so proud!
It started off not so great...Logan had just had his bath and had yet to get his nighttime diaper, he was in the bedroom with JR when I hear JR yell, "LOGAN, NO" then JR came running into the batroom, Logan in tow. JR sat Logan on the little boy potty and told him that is where he goes potty. I think Logan was so shocked from JR yelling at him that he couldn't pee. He just sat there looking at us like..."what now?" So I got the idea to fill a cup with warm water and I slowly poured it over his wee-wee...It started the flow, and voila....he was peeing! I will say it was a little weird to sit there trying to get him to hold his wee-wee down...he wasn't having it, so I got the great honor of holding it down! YAY! Afterward we were finished congratulating him and cheering, I gave him a little treat and JR went to clean the area where Logan had started to pee before JR interupted him! Ha!!!!
