So apparently the bug I got from Logan was worse on me than it was on him. As I said on my blog yesterday, he was able to play around and have a pretty okay day....However, for me - it hit like a bat out of hell starting at 12:30. I didn't know what hit me, it came on so fast. As the day went on it got worse...I was vomiting all day and although all I had was water since 2:00 yesterday, I still couldn't hold it down. I had horrible diarhea and I knew that I needed to keep fluids in my system, but how????I literally could not stand up, I was doubled over in pain..and it felt like my insides were being twistedand pulled apart. I seriously do NOT ever remember feeling so sick in my life time. I knew in my head that this was just a bug that I had gotten from Logan, who had gotten it from JR - but I could not wait it out. I tried like hell....I had to call JR home from bowling because at that time, I was no longer mobile....I was basically crawling around. It was horrible. At 7:15 I told him I wanted to go to the ER...he kindly took me, and then I sent him home with the kids. I was severely dehydrated - due to the fact that I could not keep anything down. They confirmed that it was a stomach bug...not a virus - most likely caused by a germ. They said the dehyrdration probably intensified the stomach cramping....cramping my ass - it was FAR past cramping - I can handle cramps - this was much worse! The took my blood, ran the routine tests and gave me some anit-nausea medicine in my IV along with a prescription for the medicine so that I might be able to hold things down. I finally got to leave about 10:30. When I lefft, my stomach was MUCH better - I still had a little nausea, but my hips, knees, and ankles were killing me. #1 the beds are HORRIBLE, and #2 my bones do NOT handle the cold very well, and the IV fluids they gave me were very cold and really chilled my whole body....not good for the arthritis! Yuck....I ended up waking up just about every hour last night...I finally took the anti-nausea medicine and drank some water and took some tylenol for my hips...and finally got to sleep about 2 1/2 hours before waking up to feed Landry.
Today is JR's brithday, and I feel awful that he has been calling me over and over to check on me. Not really the way I wanted to spend his birthday! yuck....hopefully we can do something fun together this weekend....

Hell of a couple of days...
Yesterday morning I woke up at 5:30am to feed the baby...I was hoping be able to sleep in until 7:30 or so, but just as I was drifting off to sleep I was quickly startled by the sound of Logan vomiting. Not pleasant...really not pleasant. I got Logan to figure out how to make it to the toilet which was GREAT...a little less to clean up for me. He went back to sleep about 6:30 and luckily Landry slept in until 8:00 so I got a little more sleep. Logan woke up throwing up again...poor kid. He was obviously feeling better a couple of hours later, he was running all over the place...ALL over the place. He went in stages, he would play and play for a couple of hours, and then out of nowhere he would just lay down for a while and look so pathetic, like he was all of a sudden reminded that he didn't feel well!
Landry was fussy all day yesterday, well not really, it just felt that way because I was dealing with Logan and everything else. Anyway, it was a little rough. By the end of the day I was REALLY ready for JR to get home from work.
When JR did get home, we went to dinner and then to the grocery store, and then he had a guys night with the boys playing poker. Even though I didn't get some huge break or a moment to rest, I was incredibly thankful that JR took the kids in one cart and I had a seperate cart....He took the kids to the tooy section and went to look at the grills and alll over the store, while I did the shopping!!! It was just what I needed!
Just an update...Logan is feeling fine today....back to his usual self! LOL

Our weekend
So its Monday and we are coming off one of the best weekends EVER! We left for Houston Friday evening...I was so excited but after getting about a mile down the road I realized that I ahd already forgotten about 7 items from my list...one of them being the list itself. Nothing major, so I didn't worry about it - chapstick, sunglasses....all small things that could be bought while we were there. Then we got to Katy only to find out that Jason and Lisa were going to have another person staying at their house that night as well...ehhh...oh well, I was determined to not let anything bring me down. We got to Spring and stayed up talking to Jason (Lisa was at work). Davin and Logan went hogwild...so excited to see each other! I got Landry down, but it was past her bedtime so she was a little crabby. Logan also stayed up WAY past his bedtime, but I let him because he was just so happy to see his cousin. I ended up sleeping on the floor with Logan and Davin, while they watched "Happy Feet"....I was tossing and turning all night, my hips hurt so badly. Apparently Landry woke up during the night and JR got up with her and put her back to bed which on one hand was absolutely wonderful and on the other hand not so great since I woke up at 5:30 and the whole front of my shirt was soaked with leaked breatmilk....oops! I was so tired I just went back to sleep. Not for long, I heard Landry making noise so I thought I would sneak in and get her, but when I walked in the room JR had her and they were playing. He said that they had gotten up at 6:00. It was only 6:15, so I am glad that they weren't up long. I fed her...and man it was a relief! LOL We all got up got ready for the beach and left their house at 8:45. We got to the beach about 10:30 and set up our tent..JR and I were cracking up at each other...it was so incredibly windy and overcast. Its funny to think about how relationships change overtime. When we first starting dating JR and I would argue pretty much anytime we tried to put somthing together....now we just laugh at each other. Anyway, it wasn't long before the groups started arriving. Before I knew it, it was 3:00...the sun was staring to peek out from behind the clouds, and I was lucky enough to see that Logan looked a little pink, so I slathered sunscreen on him, and put some on my shoulders and face....which is probably the only thing that saved me from being scorched. by the end of the day I was pink, but its already gone now! Whew.
My kids were amazing, Landry went down for a nap at the beginning of the day and then a LONG nap in the middle of the day. Logan took a long nap as well, and JR and I got to enjoy a couple hours of kid free time...we just took turns going and checking on them. Our friends, Nikki and Travis and their 10 month old Aiden, came out for the festivities and I was surprised and excited that their baby was so wonderful too and they were able to stay the entire time! It was such a relaxing day...The best mother's day I have ever had! I have so many pictures - I will post later...my stupid uploader is acting up! We left the beach to check in to our hotel, which was so nice....we took showers and then went to Salsa's with everyone for dinner! Again, the kids were amazing! It was so wonderful! By the time we got back to the hotel JR and I were ready to crash. I put a movie on for Logan....he was out about 10 minutes later...but Landry was cranky...because AGAIN she was off her schedule...yuck! I walked around holding her and singing to her for about 20 minutes and then put her down...she made a few noises and gave up and fell asleep. JR got up with her in the middle of the night...which turned out to be about an hour and a half....it was rough. She finally went back to bed.
Sunday we got up LATE!!!! hahaha...We slept in until 8:00 laid around for a bit then got Logan up and got dressed to eat our free continental breakfast. The hotel we stayed at had a putt putt course so we played with Logan...he had a blast - of course. Then he went to my Grandmother's house to visit for a while. I love my Nanny more than words can describe. She is so amazing, and its been a really bad year for her. The 1st Anniversary of my papa's death is July 17th...so I am planning to make another trip down there to be with her....because I know it will be incredibly hard. After visiting for a couple of hours we headed to clear lake to meet up with our friends Scott and Ashley for lunch at pei wei. We chatted for about 2 hours before loading up and heading home.
Once we got home, we decided our family time just wasn't quite over, so after we unloaded the car, we set up the chairs and got out the bean bag toss and set it all up. JR and I played 5 games...he won 4 games, and I won 1...He wins at EVERYTHING! We had such a great time in the front yard with the kids and each other. It really was a perfect way to end the weekend!
On another note....JR and I are in a fantasy baseball league together, and it just so happened that we played each other last week. We made a friendly bet that whoever lost had to do dishes and laundry for a week with no complaints....I was winning....but wouldn't you know that by the time it was over we ended up tied! So - I guess that means we will be sharing in the chores! hahaha! This week I am playing Jason (my brother-in-law). Geesh!

Awesome day
I had an awesome day yesterday!!! I put the kids in their swimsuits and took them down to the park. I really didn't have a choice since Logan wouldn't stop asking to go. Anyway, I put them in swimsuits in hopes that the neighborhood pool would be open! I was smart enough not to say we were going swimming just in case it wasn't open. To my surprise the key card worked and the pool was open! there is a seperate kids corner section, it only gets 1 1/2 feet deep and that is where we stayed the majority of the time. I tried to get Logan in the big pool, but he was too scared so while I was there I signed him up for swimming lessons!! After about 45 minutes, we went to the park (its at the entrance of the pool...its like this huge lot of land with a community park and pool) Logan got to swing and go down the slides and swing some more...Landry sat in the shade and took a nap in her stroller. 30 minutes later we were back at the pool. I met another mommy. She has a 14 month old (who was adorable) She invited me to be part of the neighborhood play group wihch is every Monday from 10 - 1 and told me about a mommy group that she was a part of. She said there is usually a waiting list - she was on it for about 3 months, but it was worth it! It will be really exciting to be around some other stay at home moms, and even better for the kids to meet new people! We got home and the kids went straight to sleep! Whew! I was thankful to get a shower without being bothered. My back and shouldered got a little burned so I will have to be more careful today (IF we go).
Last night I told JR he had to cook....he only has to do it once a week and it is usually on Wed. So I went to the store to get the milk that we needed. When I got back he said that we couldn't leave for our vacation until the house was cleaned...I looked at him and said - "well, you better get busy!" He gave me the whole song and dance....I'm Gonna I'm Gonna.....he did nothing! Friday night was his night to do the dishes (today is Thursday - so yes this means a whole week has gone by) well he still hasn't done them and it is causing the house to smell...I am really upset because I told him last night, that if there was one thing I wanted done it was the dishes. The thing is - he will do them tonight...only because I will have to bitch and bitch and bitch until he does them....then he will complain about the fact that HIS load of dishes is huge and it isn't fair because I always get smaller loads - I will try to explain its because I do them every night and put them in the dishwasher - he wont get it - THEN when he is done, he will want to be pat on the back and when I ask him to do something else, he will say - "I just did a HUGE load of dishes" as if the dishes should be enough for him to do! I know my husband really well....and we seriously go through this EVERY TIME. Anyway, I put Landry down at about 7:15...Logan was acting so sleepy, so JR said he was going to put Logan down and come back down...that was at 7:30 - At 8:15 I knew he wasn't coming back...so I put the food away, cleaned the living room did a load of laundry and worked out. I went upstairs at 10:30 and was asleep by 11:00 Landry woke up at 11:30 - oh lucky me! She also got up at 2:00, again at 3:30 in which I went straight to JR and told him he needed to get up with her, and again at 6:45...It is now 7:45 and all I can think about is going back to sleeep. I am hoping Logan will stay asleep, I can put Landry down in about 45 minutes and then take a quick nap before Logan wakes up! Crossing my fingers! Today I am determined to get some stuff done around the house and make my lists...My what to bring, what to pack, what to buy at various stores, what the kids will need Lists!

It's a new day
Landry is crawling all over the place...Let the games begin! LOL I am so glad that today is Wednesday...hump day. Means that we are one day closer to going to the beach! YES! I am ready for a vacation. The one thing I asked for for Mother's day was to stay in a hotel while we were in Galveston. I wasnt it to actually seem like a vacation...and for me, staying with friends or family is more like visiting than vacationing! So we are driving to Spring on Friday and wont get there to late at night, so we are staying with my brother-in-law and getting up early and heading to Galveston. Then we will stay in a hotel on Saturday night. I can't believe how expensive the hotels in Galveston are...when we went to Vegas, we stayed in an upscale hotel and it was $89 a night....an upscale hotel in Galveston is about $260 a night......geesh...obviously we aren't staying in that one! LOL On Sunday, I will stop by and see my grandmother before heading home. I bought Landry a swimsuit yesterday....I never try things on when it comes to the kids...it is far too difficult to dress, undress, dress, undress.....well her swimsuit is too small, so I will be getting another one. I got myself a new swimsuit as well. I just wished I looked better in it! Hahaa I still have a long way to go before I look GOOD in a swimsuit, but I am working on it which makes me feel good. I keep thinking that one of these days I will be able to sit down without a giant roll on my belly....well that day isn't today or this week or even this month...but I will keep trying! Part of me just wants to save up some money and go have lipo and a tummy tuck....but that will never happen....Why couldn't they have just done a tummy tuck when they did my c-section??? Anyway...here a few pics of Landry's too small swimsuit!.....She is such a doll!
Oh and by the way.....she took two 4 oz. bottles yesterday and a 6oz. bottle! I think she finally has the hang of it! I am not completely stopping the breastfeeding....it would hurt too much to just stop altogether, but I am cutting back...and every two or three days, I am taking away another feeding. She is only 10 days away from being 7 months old....and that is when I plan to stop nursing except the night time feedings which I plan to keep and if I am honest, I would really like to keep a feed maybe even two during the day...I dont know...I want to stop, but I dont want to at the same time! ughhhh decisions!

so slow...
This week seems to be going soooooo slow. It is only Tuesday! Yuck. It's probably because yesterday was a hellacious day. JR and I switched our phones several months ago in order to save a little money. He wants an iphone so I told him that he could get one for his birthday, but first we needed to save some money. I told him I would wait and see if I really wanted one and maybe get it at Christmas. I am not really one for new gadgets or things of that nature...I am jsut happy with something that works...which is why yesterday was so bad! My phone didn't work all day yesterday. I was so mad. I couldn't get a hold of JR and NOTHING frustrates me more than that. Then I went upstairs to put Landry down for a nap, and decided to take a shower...when I came down, I nearly busted my butt on the kitchen floor because it was so slippery...and the house smelled funny. Well, Mr. Logan decided to spray the entire can of sunscreen all over the kitchen...oooooooooooooh I was mad....mostly at myself for not putting it out of reach. It is moments like those that I take a little time out and call JR to vent....but I couldn't call ANYONE and I was so irritated. Anyway, when JR got home he got it fixed...I was on hold for 4 hours and 16 minutes with the phone company, before I gave up! UGGGHHHH!
My sister dropped off Isaiah this morning, and now the boys are playing...loudly! I am so tired...I went to bed at 10:45 and got up at 11:30 to feed Landry and put her back down, then I got up again at 3:30, and then again at 6:30....man I just want to crawl in bed and go to sleep for another hour or two!
We are headed to Galveston this weekend for Mother's day! I am excited! Although we still have to find a place to stay Friday night...we will probably just stay and my grandmother's but we wont get in until late and I hate to bother her. We are staying in a hotel Saturday night, and I suppose we could just stay both nights but, I dont really feel like paying for an extra night when we wont be there for long. I dont know...we will see I guess!
Last night was JR's first night with the insanity workout...I was really proud of him for starting. I have been going for 3 weeks as of tomorrow, and I have been trying to talk him into doing it with me for the last two. Last Wednesday he said he would start but he wanted to wait until Monday...so I am starting over. Every two weeks you do the same fit test to see how you have improved...I was supposed to do mine last Wed. but when JR said he would start I skipped it and did a different workout. I did my second fit test and JR did his first last night, and I must say that I have improved...I was able to do more reps of each exercise and even more important, my stamina was above and beyond that first day!So now I just have to try to encourage JR to stay with it...It is really hard to keep going at the beginning, but I have so much more energy than I did a month ago it is unreal. In fact, I bought another workout item called http://www.thefirmwave.com last week and I have been doing it in the mornings and Insanity when JR gets home. I went from barely being able to get through one workout to doing two a day. Of course, I don't do the wave everyday...and to be honest - I would recommend Insanity before the wave....The results are just much better and faster to see (I believe). The only reason I got the wave was because I saw the infommercial and couldn't resist...I love buying workout programs....and up until now, they usually just sit in the box! I can tell a difference in my body...JR says he can see it too...I just hope others notice too! One day I plan on being skinny again! LOL

weekend fun
What a fun weekend we had. It's not that we did a whole lot, but we had a good time just spending the weekend together. We were extremely lucky in that, JR didn't have to go to work this weekend. I was so happy. It was a much needed break. I used to complain that I felt like JR didn't help me out enough....BUT now that he has been working so much and is gone on the weekends so often...I KNOW what it is like to be on my own and not have ANY help....so now, I dont complain about that anymore. When JR is here, we can take turns, so that neither of us get too frustrated or overwhelmed. Anyway, on Saturday, we got up and JR and I took the kids to the park...it was a little chilly and very windy, so Landry and I headed home, while JR and Logan stayed a little longer. JR got the backyard mowed - and we set out on pulling more weeds. That backyard is full of these huge weeds....and with the grass cut, you cant really tell until you are standing on top of them, but JR has this vision of this gorgeous yard with NO weeds and lustrious grass! hahaha I did my workout - and we just enjoyed the day. Sunday was pretty much the same, park, pulling weeds, relaxing, watching baseball, and lots and lots of playing! Anyway, that was our weekend...may sound boring to some - but it was much needed and seriously wonderful! I even got a visit from my mom and baby sister Vanessa! It was good to see my lil sister!
