A really crappy day

Its March 3, which means there are only 20 days until my baby boy is a 4 year old. I honestly CAN NOT believe it.
Anyway - so March...its only the 3rd, but I feel as though I have had my one allotted "REALLY BAD DAY" of the month. -
Yesterday...everything was going fine. I woke up at 6:15 got my sweats on and went for my run. I got back home, did some yoga stretching, and some toning exercises. I made breakfast, poured a cup of coffee, I had my computer time and at 8:00 Landry woke up. I made her cereal, and a cup of milk and starting hanging more pictures. All was going well. At 10:00 Logan finally graced us with his presence, I made his cereal...all three dang bowls! I continued working on the pictures..By noon I made a snack for all of us, yogurt and fruit, and the kids got some granola added to theirs. Dish Network came by to hook up the internet to the tv so that we can use our phones as a remote??? And we can record a show using our phones from anywhere in the world. (Do we need this - NO, We will probably never use it...but its free, so JR says, Hey why not!) Landry woke from her nap a little while later - about 1:00. You know the quote from Frankenstein..."IT'S ALIVE"...well this is where things get bad. I go outside to check the mail and pull the trash can, and decided to pick up some of the trash that was in the yard that was left behind because it drives me crazy. I had just put a pizza in the oven for the kids lunch and I see that the pizza should come out in about 5 minutes so I head back inside....only the door is closed and LOCKED. I bang on the door and get Logan talking to me through the door. He tells me "it's locked mommy" - ummm, no shit! So I am trying to stay calm and tell him what to do to unlock the door, I know that yelling will only impede this process, so I am talking him through and after about 5 minutes he gets the bottom one unlocked...okay so now we need the deadbolt unlocked. I ask about sissy, and he tells me that she is on the table!!! AWESOME - So you lock me out and go hog wild...By this time Logan is frustrated, and he just keeps repeating that I need to get the keys...THE KEYS ARE INSIDE THE HOUSE. I have been outside for about 7 - 8 minutes, and things just aren't happening, so I make a decision...I leave the house with my children locked inside and I run to the sales office in hopes that since we are leasing, they will have a spare key. Now when I say run - I mean I sprinted as fast as my little legs would carry me. Luckily I was right, they had a key, and I ran back to the house, unlocked the door - and took the pizza out of the oven. Then I grabbed both kids, took them both to the door and explained that they are NEVER EVER to touch the locks on the door. EVER!! EVER!! Logan cried and said he was sorry. Then he showed me the computer that Landry had knocked off the table and had a lovely message telling me I needed to load my boot disc to set up the computer...so everything had to be started over. I worked on that while the kids ate burnt pizza! Then, we loaded up and headed to HEB for the next 4 days worth of grocery...I was there for nearly 2 hours...the kids were - "kids" actually they were really great considering how long we were there. The grocery bill was $120...but it wasn't just groceries so I guess I just need to deal with it. Plus the lady that checked us out gave each of the kids an extra buddy buck...so Logan left in a much happier mood. We got back about 4 and I put away all the stuff, Landry went down for a nap...and I FINALLY got to eat lunch. I was exhausted by this point. I decided to rest. At 5:45 I started on dinner - Homemade chicken and vegetable soup. I was cutting the cabbage when oops, my finger got in the way and I sliced it - only it hurt IMMEDIATELY,and it SCARED me, I jumped - the knife slipped from my hand fell to the floor but not before slicing through the back of my leg...right above my achilles. At first it didn't hurt so badly so I thought it was superficial...so I was walking in circles and trying to find bandaids and neosporin for my throbbing, bleeding finger. Then I see blood on the floor, and I would have thought it was my finger, but I felt a cold trickle on me heel. I looked down and my leg was gushing. I tied a wet rag around it while I was still in search of the medicine. Finally, I get the bleeding under control and bandaged, I try to finish cutting veggies...Finally dinner is on the stove...JR gets home he helps with the chicken - I put Landry in the bath tub. Now let me sidetrack for a moment. Landry is 16 1/2 months old. Usually when she eats, she eats finger foods. This way she can feed herself...I usually give her a fork so that she can work on it, but this way its easier for me to clean. Last night, however I gave her the cut up chicken breast, carrots, and applesauce mixed with granola. the chicken and carrots were easy finger foods, but the applesauce/granola was a spoon fed treat...Usually I would sit down and feed her myself, so that there isn't such a mess afterwards...but I was busy cooking and slicing myself open, and I figured she needs to learn anyway, so I let her do it herself. Now - she definitely made a mess...but she did eat a lot of it, and she did pretty well for her first time. - So Ladnry got a good scrubbing! JR and I ate dinner, I put Landry to bed. JR did the dinner dishes while I planned out the next day (today). My parents are coming to dinner Friday night, so we decided to switch things around..we are going to start this cycle with another day of chicken...and tomorrow night will be steak night. When JR was done in the kitchen I started making the brown rice that would be needed for today's lunch, then I made the cookies that are actually for next week. Well to end my crappy day - I burned the cookies and for some reason the rice never absorbed the water it was cooked in! So - that was it for me - I went to bed...hoping today would be better! We will see. As I said - I am only allowed 1 really shitty day a month and one really bitchy day a month. Yesterday was the shitty day - so at least its over...I now have the rest of the month free and clear! LOL - let's hope.
