Wednesday!

Today is day 17 of our diet...which means that tomorrow we start another 17 day cycle - BUT...wait for it....Tomorrow we get to eat BEEF! So we are going to do it big. Top sirloin steak, baked sweet potato, sald and veggies! Yum! Now we still have to do portion control...JR and I cant eat huge steaks...but the idea is to fill up on the salad and veggies anyway...but still we get beef...I have been looking forward to this day for a while now (17 Days)! This second stage is about ramping up your fat burning, keeping your bodies metablolism off balance so that it continues to work throughout the day. The first cycle was about cleansing the body of toxins - sugars - fats - and getting your digestive system on a healthy track, as well as ridding the body of water weight. So, on cycle two - you eat new things, and larger portions of them one day - and the next you eat off of the cycle 1 menu...basically you go back and forth for 17 days!
JR is looking slimmer...at least to me he is. It's so weird to see him put on a shirt that isn't clinging to his belly for dear life...where you cant see the ring of where his belly button is..that really drives me crazy. Unfortunately, I think he is getting a little discouraged because no one at work seems to be noticing. I said, most people are just used to you being a heavy guy, so dropping 15- 20 pounds in two weeks...they just dont notice, plus - they are guys...guys dont pay attention to that sort of thing. Then I asked "Do you feel better?" YES "Are you happy to be putting healthy foods in your body and setting a better example for the kids" YES "Does it make you feel better to know that you are actually doing something about your weight rather than sitting around talking about how you should lose some?" YES - OKay then!
Me on the other hand...I started yesterday, which may be why I was craving all that chocolate last week...Seriously, I had 4 snickers bars in a week....ughhh. So Sunday when I weighed myself, I wasn't surprised to see that I went from 133.4 to 136.3 - Oh well...I got back on the scale today and was back down to 134.6 - I feel much better than I have before. And in all honesty the diet is so easy. I love the food...I am actually really starting to like chicken, I love the meals that have ground turkey!! Its great. Also, I started on Monday (so this is only day 3) but I have decided to wake up at 6 each morning to go for a run...if I wait until JR gets home, that means I can't go until 7:30...but we eat at that time and I would have to wait forever for my food to settle, and I can't run late at night or I would never sleep...so this seems to be the solution and other than the fact that it was 39 degrees this morning I really enjoy it! Hopefully I can keep it up. Seriously though - I dont care if I jump on the scale tomorrow and it say 140...I just want this band of fat around my tummy to GO AWAY...I told JR that it has until Valentine's Day of 2012 to go away...and if it is still there I am getting it surgically removed...I will not put up with it after that. We started the diet on Valentines day - so that gives it 365 days!!! Who know, maybe I can get my boobs lifted back up to where they were when I was 20...Man, I hate gravity...even my butt seems to be sliding down the backside of my legs! I would say LOL - but its not funny!
Anyway, Happy hump day....I am really hoping to finish my house today - except the office...I need all sorts of stuff for that room. And hopefully my parents can come to dinner tomorrow night for steak night!

Yes, I go without the kids...which has been a little difficult with JR's work schedule, sometimes I have to wake up at 4 and run because JR has to leave the house by 4:30...but luckily I haven't been having a problem getting back to sleep and most of the time he doesn't leave until 6:30 so I have just enough time to run and get back and then I have a little time to myself before the kids get up. One day I woke up late and JR had already left so I ran in circles around the house...ehhh! I just do what I can!
