rain delay

I woke up this morning to a monsoon. I got up to start getting ready before waking up the kids, but then it hit me. JR still hasn't changed the light bulb in my car. I haven't driven since Friday night, so I haven't really thought about it, and even driving Logan to school in the morning shouldn't be a problem...except that it was RAINING. So, I opted to keep Logan home. It probably wouldn't have been a big deal to just drive him to school, but the school is literally a block up from the police station, and I just didn't want to risk it. JR promised he would fix it when he get's home tonight...I guess we will see. He has been getting home after dark for a while now, but, seriously - he has to do it...I am too afraid to drive. I know its just a headlight, but stuff like that really freaks me out. Especially since I just got a ticket, I can't afford another one...hell - I can barely afford the one I got. Although, I am sure if I got pulled over I could show the officer the light bulb (that is still sitting in my front seat) and they would probably let me go, but seeing as how I got a ticket 4 days ago, they might not be too happy that it still isn't fixed...so I am just opting not to drive!

Also, because of the rain, the construction did not start on the house today:( It isn't even that it's construction construction...I mean, they still have to lay the frame work and a few other steps before they can even pour the slab...but still, I was ready to see somethiing being done. Hopefully tomorrow the ground will be dry enough to start!!! We will See!
