Catch up!

Oh man...things are crazy around here...not really I am just lazy! LOL I honestly can't remember what I did on Thursday of last week, except that I took the kids over to the pool for a couple of hours! When JR got home, he was very excited because he got Friday off!
Soooo, on Friday we went to the river -of course- JR has already warned me that we will be at the river every time he has a day off...which wont be very often! But somehow we managed to fo to the river FOUR times this week! Whew!
Yesterday was pretty boring. JR worked until 5:00, came home for a little bit, then went to get dinner. We watched Transformers with Logan who really seemed to enjoy the majority of it. Landry went down at 7:30 and didn't get up until 7:15 this morning!!!! **BIG HAPPY FACE** This make 6 days in a row that she has slept through the night...so I hope I am not jinxing anything! **fingers crossed**
Today, we are playing it by ear...JR only has to work for a short period of time, so we may go to the river when he gets home...but it will be difficult because I want to take the kids in to Wimberley. A friend of mine is having a birthday party for her little girl who is turning 1. I have yet to meet her baby...which just saddens me to the core. Her family and mine have been very dear friends for nearly 20 years. She was actually in my older sister's graduating class, but I think we may have gotten along better than they did. Anyway, the party starts at 3:00 and I would really like to go...not only to meet Laurel (her baby), but so that she can meet Landry. It's also been a few months since I have seen the rest of her family! I was also hoping to get some gift ideas for another 1 year old birthday party I am going to next weekend....but they asked that no one brings gifts and that instead we donate money to a local animal shelter in Laurels name...so I took care of that yesterday. It was only $20 but at least I know I am getting something that they really asked for. It's kind of wierd...I have a 3 1/2 year old....I have nieces and nephews - but for some reason, I never know what to get for the early birthdays (1,2..sometimes even 3) With Logan it was easy, I knew exactly what he liked and what grabbed his attention, and what level of development he was at. With other kids, ummm, I have NO IDEA! Plus, I have no clue as to what they already have - which is why I usually go the easy route of just buying clothes! LOL. Oh well, I guess we will see what I come up with! I can't believe I will be planning a 1st birthday party in just 3 1/2 months! Ahhhhhh - On a good note, however, in 3 1/2 months I can STOP BUYING FORMULA!! Although, now that I think of it, buying milk is just as, if not more expensive than the formula! Geez! I dont really mind..I would pay whatever they asked if it meant I could keep my baby a baby, just a little while longer! :)
