Changes

I changed my blog background...and while I like it, I am not sure about the colors because I can't tell if it is too difficult to read..so, let me know.
Logan is still doing really great at school, although I am starting to wonder why I am paying so much money, since so far he still doesn't remember his teacher's names, he can't name a single kid in class, AND he still says that all he learned was how to eat lunch and play outside! LOL He's only gone three times, I am sure it will all come around. Tomorrow he has to take something for show and tell...I haven't a clue what to let him take. The DS is not even close to an option. He would go crazy and never put it down.
I am learning to use my time more wisely by doing house chores or running errands while Logan is at school. However, being able to take a rest is wonderful. I can't believe that next year he will be gone 5 days a week! Ahhh! I am still trying to decide whether or not I want to put Landry in a program for next year. I would certainly like to go back to school ASAP. However, 2 days a week will take me forever to get my license...but oh well - I have plenty of time to figure that out.
Another change...Landry can TAN! LOL. Over the past few weeks we have been going to the pool quite a bit, and oddly enough, no matter how much sun screen I put on her, she has slowly been getting a little darker. Now, let me be clear...her white areas are super white, and her tan areas are more like an off white. Anyway, my point is that she may look like me but she just might get her daddy's coloring. Afterall, my hair was bright red, and her's is the color of her daddy's at this age. In fact, Ladnry and Logan both have the same color hair. Wow, can you imagine landry having brown hair with those big blue eyes... Anyway, JR's didn't turn dark until he was about 6, so I guess we will see. Logan's is still somewhat of a really dirty blone..but he can and is very dark. When I put him in the bathtub - I always get a little giggle seeing just how white his butt is compared to his back!
Another change it seems, is that Tangled is our new favorite movie! I love it, and both Landry and Logan will sit and watch it. This is a HUGE thing for Landry because while she will sit and watch a show for about ten minutes at the most...she has been sitting for nearly 30 to watch Tangled...and she usually comes back to watch after a short break! Maybe she is finally getting into the movie phase!?!

I like Tangled too!
Blue eyes and brown hair would be adorable and Ive always thought it was weird when friends woudnt put on suncreen. When you ask them why they say oh I want to get a tan. I would look at them funny and say you can still tan while wearing suncreen it just protects from the harmful sun rays ;)

I know he's younger than Logan, but Aiden didn't start mentioning his friends by name until he's been there for months. It took a month for him to mention his teacher's name. When I drop him off, I always ask if he's excited to eat breakfast with Miss Tina and his friends Vincent, Jack and Bella. That seemed to help push it along. Give him some time. He'll learn a lot that you don't realize until later. Like maybe the fact that he counted to 5 in Spanish. Did you ask if they work on that at school?

Aiden is constantly naming things I did not teach him. And he sings nursery rhymes that I'm pretty sure he didn't learn from us. And the alphabet. He used to get so mad when I sang the alphabet with him, so I didn't get to work on it with him very often. Apparently they work on it a lot at school because he's got it down.

It's crazy what they learn. It's just hard to figure out WHAT they're learning. Maybe you could get a weekly lesson plan from the teacher? I get one from Aiden's so I know what color he's learning that week, etc. Just an idea. Go Logan!!

I do get a monthly lesson plan, so we know what letters they are learning as well as the bible verse that they are teaching. But I know for certain that they aren't doing any Spanish...all of that came from Dora! LOL He does however sing songs that I definitely didn't teach him. He did start singing the Alphabet song. Aiden reminds me of Logan...he would get so irritated with me. Even if I wasn't trying to get him to sing with me...I would start singing and he would immediately start yelling at me to stop. Now all of a sudden he is trying to sing with me, so I know they sing it at school. I know they have art time as well because he has been making me lots of pictures. Right now, he just seems fascinated by chapel time and praying. JR and I are discussing finding a church...its just a little hard because it makes me nervous having Landry in the nursery AND the fact that JR is catholic and I was raised baptist...hopefully we can find a non denominational church that doesn't do any speaking in tongues...because I just can't handle that...and JR said he wants to wait until after football season! LOL
