weekend

Okay so first let me just say that we filed our income taxes this past friday...thank the lord!! We aren't getting back as much as we did last year, plus we owe the IRS about 1500 from two years ago, so we aren't getting back very much at all...but hey - at least its something! Enough to pay off the IRS and my ring and few other things so I am a happy camper right now!
This weekend was GREAT! JR had to work a little while on Saturday, and while he was gone The Kirby vaccuum sales people came to my door. If you have never seen a Kirby demonstration before...you should! Seriously it is the best vaccuum ever made. I was surprised that they brought a dyson with them to show as well as pulling out my own vaccuum. #1 the Dyson sucks...so dont go out and spend the $549...my $40 vacuum had more power behind it and my bag is completely full. #2 Neither my vacuum or the dyson can hold a candle to the Kirby. The thing is amazing...and it does pretty much EVERYTHING. It has attachments for blowing up ballons, or mattresses, it can shampoo your carpet, or paint a wall. I can do the dusting...seriously the thing is crazy. So, am I the proud owner of a new Kirby Sentria...HELL NO - those things are over $2000! yup, thats right a two thousand dollars vacuum! She even dropped the cost and told me for $100 down I could make payment of $46 a month for 36 months. It was REALLY tempting, but luckily JR got home just in time to save me. We seriously can't take on any more payments right now...even something less that $50 a month. I did get online and look on craigslist and even the Kirby stores which sell refurbished ones that are still $900...but they have a 10 year warranty and a lifetime rebuild policy! All I can say is that I want one...so very badly and if any of you had seen the demonstration, you would want one too. They shampooed my carpet, and its awesome. It wasn't even this clean when we first moved in. Some of the stains are still their, albeit much lighter, but most of the stains were removed. I am sure it works the same as a rug doctor...the more time that passes the stains become barker again....but still - to have something that gets the stains out at your fingertips at all times....pretty cool!
Later on Saturday I took a nap...I was awoken by a text from my sister. She didn't seem to thrilled that I hadn't called her all day and that I wasn't inviting her over. I'm not really sure when that started to matter...she comes over uninvited all the time...but hey - I'll take it! We got to have a Randi free weekend! Whew!
Sunday, we laid around doing nothing. I read, JR watched football, the kids played. Then JR would play with the kids, then I would play with the kids, then we all played together. It was a pretty awesome day. My kids are the best...they are just too damn cute!
