okay - so this starts with last Thursday...My older sister called to tell me that my mom had left for Galveston and that my dad was going out of town and she didn't know what to do about her kids. It is irritating when she calls to "tell" me a story, I wish she would just say, hey....this is what I need. Anyway, so it basically came down to her finally asking me to go pick up her kids on Sunday...Of course I said that I would...she is my sister, I am not going to say no. So I told her that we were having a BarB Q on Sunday and that I would need to pick them up earlier than the usual time. I would need to pick them up at 10....when they usually do the drop off at 4:00. I felt bad, because it did cut Luis' time with his kids short, but I had made plans and we had a bunch of people coming over, sooooo....what was I supposed to do? So anyway, she said there was no problem and that she would even ask him to meet me in Burnet, which shortened the 2 hour trip by 30 minutes....I decided to think positive, so I figured, it might actually work for the best considering that having Isabella and Isaiah here would keep Logan occupied! On Friday she calls to ask if she can borrow $150...Of course, I said yes. So I met up with her in Kyle to give her the money. Then Friday night she calls to say she just gor home from dropping off the kids, her car had broken down. My dad had to go pick her up and she had to have her car towed to the dealership. Basically she was asking if she could borrow my car....but If she used my car, how would I pick up the kids???? Anyway, luckily she ended up with a rental car.
Saturday JR had to work early in the day, so while he was at work I got out and planted the flower beds....of course I had to make another trip to Lowe's in order to get more soil and a few more flowers, but I finally got it all done. I came in to do some house work and as I was finishing the dishes JR got home. I decided that I would mow the grass so that JR could weed-eat. Unfortunately, we ran out of string, while doing the back yard...but it was okay...we took the kids to HEB to get all the supplies for the BBQ and got some more string. We finished up the yard when we got home, and finished all the menial tasks around the house...cleaning toilets, sweeping, mopping.....Then our friend Desmond called and asked to come over and hang out....which turned into an all night drinking fest....and poker - we played all night and my sister came over and played as well. (She was dropping off money for gas) At 3:30 in the morning, I said goodnight, I couldn't handle it. Everyone else was up until 6.....Crazy people....When JR came to bed he sat on me, claiming he didn't see me...and I believe him, I dont really know how he found his way upstairs.
Sunday, I got up at 7:15 with Landry, then I left to pick up my niece and nephew at 8:30...I got back before anyone got over to the house. I was able to help JR set up. Everyone arrived and we had a really good time! It was a great day...a very long one, but a great one. We played some poker and just had a very relaxing, very wonderful day.
Looking forward to a great week...headed to Houston this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you do with the kids when you are mowing the lawn and JR is weed eating? I used to mow the lawn occasionally, but now that we have Aiden, I can't figure out how to get out there. I worry he'll start crying after his nap and I won't hear him because the lawn mower is so loud.
What are you guys coming to Houston for? I'm assuming something related to Memorial Day? That's a bummer because Travis and I will be out of town...
I mowed while Landry was sleeping, and I just turned on a Movie for Logan. JR was weedeating, but he went in about every 10 - 15 minutes to check on Logan. When I got to the back yard I was wooried that she would wake up while I was out there...so JR started going in a little more often to see if she was crying. Sure enough...she woke up while I had just a small patch og grass left so JR got her and just waited until I finished. No baby monitor in the world is loud enough to hear over a mower! LOL
We are coming to Houston on Saturday for our friends Wedding. They are getting married in North west Houston. We are only staying Saturday night. There is a chance JR will have to work on Monday:( I will probably be taking the kids to the lazy river at schlitterbahn! See how they do...We are going to seaworld in the middle of June (Father's Day) and we will probably spend a LOT of time at the water park so, I want to make sure they do okay!
That's fun! I still have not been to Schlitterbahn, but I'm planning to hit it up this summer. Let me know how it goes with the wee one...
I haven't been to the one in Galveston...something I did with Logan though, was instead of Schlitterbahn, I took him to Moody Gardens Palm Beach...He loved it, especially the splash pad. I am going to take the kids to the one in New Braunfels...The original. It is huge so I am scared!!! LOL I just want to test it out. So I will probably just get a half day!
