I had an awesome day yesterday!!! I put the kids in their swimsuits and took them down to the park. I really didn't have a choice since Logan wouldn't stop asking to go. Anyway, I put them in swimsuits in hopes that the neighborhood pool would be open! I was smart enough not to say we were going swimming just in case it wasn't open. To my surprise the key card worked and the pool was open! there is a seperate kids corner section, it only gets 1 1/2 feet deep and that is where we stayed the majority of the time. I tried to get Logan in the big pool, but he was too scared so while I was there I signed him up for swimming lessons!! After about 45 minutes, we went to the park (its at the entrance of the pool...its like this huge lot of land with a community park and pool) Logan got to swing and go down the slides and swing some more...Landry sat in the shade and took a nap in her stroller. 30 minutes later we were back at the pool. I met another mommy. She has a 14 month old (who was adorable) She invited me to be part of the neighborhood play group wihch is every Monday from 10 - 1 and told me about a mommy group that she was a part of. She said there is usually a waiting list - she was on it for about 3 months, but it was worth it! It will be really exciting to be around some other stay at home moms, and even better for the kids to meet new people! We got home and the kids went straight to sleep! Whew! I was thankful to get a shower without being bothered. My back and shouldered got a little burned so I will have to be more careful today (IF we go).
Last night I told JR he had to cook....he only has to do it once a week and it is usually on Wed. So I went to the store to get the milk that we needed. When I got back he said that we couldn't leave for our vacation until the house was cleaned...I looked at him and said - "well, you better get busy!" He gave me the whole song and dance....I'm Gonna I'm Gonna.....he did nothing! Friday night was his night to do the dishes (today is Thursday - so yes this means a whole week has gone by) well he still hasn't done them and it is causing the house to smell...I am really upset because I told him last night, that if there was one thing I wanted done it was the dishes. The thing is - he will do them tonight...only because I will have to bitch and bitch and bitch until he does them....then he will complain about the fact that HIS load of dishes is huge and it isn't fair because I always get smaller loads - I will try to explain its because I do them every night and put them in the dishwasher - he wont get it - THEN when he is done, he will want to be pat on the back and when I ask him to do something else, he will say - "I just did a HUGE load of dishes" as if the dishes should be enough for him to do! I know my husband really well....and we seriously go through this EVERY TIME. Anyway, I put Landry down at about 7:15...Logan was acting so sleepy, so JR said he was going to put Logan down and come back down...that was at 7:30 - At 8:15 I knew he wasn't coming back...so I put the food away, cleaned the living room did a load of laundry and worked out. I went upstairs at 10:30 and was asleep by 11:00 Landry woke up at 11:30 - oh lucky me! She also got up at 2:00, again at 3:30 in which I went straight to JR and told him he needed to get up with her, and again at 6:45...It is now 7:45 and all I can think about is going back to sleeep. I am hoping Logan will stay asleep, I can put Landry down in about 45 minutes and then take a quick nap before Logan wakes up! Crossing my fingers! Today I am determined to get some stuff done around the house and make my lists...My what to bring, what to pack, what to buy at various stores, what the kids will need Lists!

Mommy groups?! That's GREAT!!! When you mentioned a waiting list, I immediately thought of the show Parenthood. FUNNY. That should be a lot of fun for the kiddos - glad you found this!
