Wrapped Up!

Last night I finished wrapping gifts! YAY! As I said yesterday, there are still a few more that I have to get, and then JR reminded me of the Stockings...DAMN! So I am trying to come up with some ideas for stocking stuffers.
For Logan, so far - I have underwear and socks....because he really needs them, some candy, and I am going to try to find a few things from the dollar section at Target.
For Landry, - some hair bows, some candy, dollar section at target, and maybe a barbie, or something small like that
For JR - I HAVE NO IDEA! socks and underwear?? some candy? maybe some cologne?
For Me - socks, bra and panties, candy, and perfume!

All ideas are welcome!

Today is Logan's Christmas party! They are doing a pizza party, and a gift exchange. Each child brought a wrapped book. I think this is a great idea. One, each child get a gift to unwrap, and two, everyone gets a book - so they won't be arguing over who got a cooler gift, AND it encourages reading! I can't believe this is his last day of school in 2011. Time certainly seems to be going by very quickly.

Tomorrow morning is the BIG day! We are going to head to Dallas. We are planning to leave the house around 9:00. Before leaving I have to go gas up and get Isabella and Isaiah's gifts. I am either getting them each a DS game or a gift card. Either way, I am going to Game Stop very quickly then heading back home to get the kids all loaded up. We should reach Dallas around 1:00 and we are debating going to the Tailgating Party, or watching the game before the Texans. I can't get over how many interviews my dad has given. He has been on the news every night on just about every station! This is just such an exciting time. I am so proud of him and all the coaches and the team...but especially my dad. He has been coaching for 32 years. The man is a saint. He truly is a spectacular man. I remember when I was growing up, I kind of resented football. My dad was always working. First practices start in early August...and the season isn't over until they lose in the play-offs...unless of course they make it to state - and then it isn't over until..well, NOW! Then, because he is the Athletic Director, he always had to be present for the other sports, basketball, baseball, track...basically he was ALWAYS working. Even during the summer when most teachers are off, he was running football camps for the elementary kids. Once I got to high school I learned to really appreciate all of my games that he was able to make it to, even if he was late getting there - he really tried to be there for all of them. I love my dad so much. I am always shocked and amazed at how many former players and even their parents, former collegues, or even just members of our former communities (Rotan, Iowa Park, Glen Rose) and even people that my dad went to school with come out to support him. Tomorrow at 4:00 there will be people from each of these categories as well as my entire family cheering on the Texans. All 3 of my dad's sisters and their entire families, cousins, my dad's mom (Memaw), even my mom's side of the family will be there! Anyway - I am just so proud of him. I am super nervous about the game itself though. Argyle will be a tough team to beat..we really have our work cut out for us!
If you are at all interested in watching the game it will be on Fox Sports SW...here is the info...http://www.uiltexas.org/football/state/broadcast-information
set your DVR and watch or catch up to live action when you get home from work!!! Maybe me and the family will even get to be on the jumbo screen! LOL

Also, they delivered the wood to start the framing of the house yesterday. I was so excited, I thought they might start on it today...only to wake up to a monsoon! Yuck, again...I will say, I encourage the rain...but I still want my dang house built! LOL The rain has seemed to stop, so they may be able to start this afternoon, or more likely tomorrow - if it doesn't start raining again. YAY!

Oh they can work in the rain! Big babies.

DOLLAR SPOT AT TARGET IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA!! I was trying to come up with something not expensive for the stockings. That's perfect. Although, I probably shouldn't get him the mini train set he loves in there because then he'll know it's not from Santa. Bummer...
