Santa ,Shopping, Football, Decorations, House

On Friday I actually did it, I took the kids to the mall in Austin to see Santa. Luckily the line was only about a 15 minute wait. Logan was so excited and such a good kid. It really is amazing to look back and see how much more exciting Christmas is to him each year. Landry was not all that impressed. She REALLY doesn't like for me to leave her side. Even when I just walk away to leave her with JR she gets upset...that intensifies when the other person is a stranger!

After our visit with Santa, I decided that I might as well do some clothes shopping for the kids while I was there. This was not my finest idea! It was okay for about an hour and a half...but then it turned a little chaotic. Logan wanted to go into a toy store which I promised he could do if he was a good boy...the problem was, he really was a good boy so I had to take him. Turned out to be terrible. He wanted this $50 Super Mario chess game. First, you can get it from Amazon for $30, second, he doesn't play chess he just wanted it because it has all the mario characters as chess pieces. GGRRR. I tried to compromise, okay - not really. I offered to buy him a $3 mario candy dispenser. He fervently declined, so we left - he cried the whole way out to the car. Part of the reason it took so long to shop is because Logan is in a wierd stage for jeans - as is Landry - which requires for them to actually try on the clothes. Trust me, this is a terrible thing to dress and undress and dress and undress kids their age over and over. I FINALLY found Logan a pair of jeans after 2 stores and about 8 different brands...the only ones that fit right...of course Polo! So, I only bought 1 pair and will have to go back and buy a few more next week after pay day. The problem is that in October I bought him some 5 slims because his jeans just weren't long enough. However, apparently he has had yet another growth spurt and now the 5 slims are not only too short - they are also now too tight in the waist, which were just perfect 2 months ago! The 5 regulars fit in the waist (as long as its adjustable because they are still a little big) but they are too short, so I had to find some 6 slim...unfortunately each brand is different and therefore took several attempts to find a pair that worked. I had this same problem with Landry - but I gave up and bought tights and dresses! LOL

Later Friday night we drove to Bastrop to watch my dad's Wimberley Texans play in the state semi-final game. I have to say that both teams had some ridiculously stupid mistakes but somehow we were able to pull out a win 21-14, which means that Friday we will be playing for the whole shebang. The State Championship in Cowboys Stadium at 4:00pm.

Before we left for the game, Logan and Landry made some toilet paper roll reindeer! I should have gotten some better glue than elmers....but they are very cute. Today, we traced all our hands and then I cut them out so we could make some wreaths, they turned out really well. So very cute! So, now all that is left is to take the Christmas photos, which I am hoping to do in about an hour or two, before we head to dinner for Isaiah's birthday celebration!

They poured the foundation today on our house! YAYYYYY! They should start on the framing mid next week!
