M.I.A.

So, I have been missing for several days now...not because I have been super busy or anything like that but because I have been sooooo lazy!
We went home to my parents this weekend...it was great! My dad's football team won there last game of the regular season and are in the play-offs...Ironically they are playing Glen Rose this Friday...My dad used to coach in Glen Rose and it is where I graduated. I was mulling over the idea of going...it is in Killeen, but I dont think I will be able to make it. :( I completely forgot how boring Wimberley is. We never left the house...It was nice to be able to relax... I had planned on visiting pioneer town and maybe going to the outlet mall...but we did neither! I guess the laziness carried over because I haven't wanted to move since we got home!!!
The last couple of days have been pretty lazy..I finally got the dishes done and some laundry...but thats about it!
Tomorrow marks the 4 weeks anniversary of Landry's birth! I can't believe so much time has gone by. She is nearly 10 pounds...she is such a good eater! Landry is a spitter though, which is a new thing for me...Logan rarely ever spit up! I talked to the doctor about this but was told that as long as she was gaining weight then it wasn't something to worry about...We have a new doctor that Landry will see in about a month....I am interested to see if she has the same advice!
I am proud to say that the breastfeeding is going really well. I can count on one hand the number of times we have offered her a bottle...and it never goes well.
I am a little concerned about this...She doesn't do well with a bottle, so if I ever want to leave the house without her it makes it very difficult....but I dont want to force the bottle on her either...I would hate for her to get so used the bottle that she prefers it over me....but at the same time, it would be nice to be able to go somewhere without worrying about her eating!
I am down to pumping just twice a day...I pump in the late morning (around 10:15) right after feeding her, and then again right before going to bed. I am still able to pump around 10 - 15 ounces total, so I am pretty comfortable with that....JR and I still haven't bought the deep freeze but are hoping to do so this weekend .....It has now gone from something we wanted to a necessity. There is no longer any room in the freezer!!!
Well the princess is calling...
Remember to thank our veterans and all that are currently serving our country!

Happy 1-month Birthday Landry!

So about the bottle... Everything I read recommended not offering a bottle until 4-6 weeks of age to make sure the baby gets accustomed to breastfeeding first. We didn't follow that advice. We started offering Aiden a bottle for his last feed of the day. I did it because I wanted to pump once a day (and no way could I produce 10-15 ounces EXTRA after feeding the baby) so I could freeze it for when I started work. Aiden did great with it. He seems totally indifferent to which he is offered - bottle or breast. Every kid is different though!
