Life is Good Today!

Okay, so it is only 10:00, but life is good today. "Ask and ye shall receive," (a famous quote from the Bible) is apparently true. I worked hard to keep Landry awake more during the day, and it paid off...she slept for 3 1/2 hours between each feeding. Usually it is somewhere between 2 and three from the start of one feeding to the next...but last night I got 3 1/2 hours of uninterrupted sleep..TWICE! It was so needed. after her 7:00 am feeding I didn't know if I should stay awake or try to push for a little more sleep...I got back in bed! LOL This time she only slept until 9:15 but still....I got to sleep in until 9:15 YAY. I woke up singing!
It truly is amazing what a little bit of sleep can do for you. I am revived. No more complaints! I have a beautiful house - although the floors could use a cleaning - I have a hard working, good providing, sometimes selfish (but aren't we all), loving husband - and two beautiful children that bring smiles to my face every day! They are precious angels.
Logan is doing wonderful at potty training which I still haven't pushed....but he gets up in the morning and takes off his own diaper and goes to the potty! I am kind of just sitting back and letting him do it on his own but I guess I will have to crack the whip soon....but I may not have to really do anything at this rate...he seems to have it down. He can take off his own pants when he needs to go...I am very proud.
I have about 12 pounds that I still need to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight...for me...it isn't so much about the number as it is how I look. Before I got pregnant I was losing weight and even though I knew the pounds were dropping I didn't really realize what I looked like until now...I have pictures of when I was 4 weeks pregnant....and I was actually pretty skinny. Funny how I didn't realize it back then. Anyway, I am still about 2 months away from being able to do any kind of sit-ups due to surgery, but JR and I are both trying to lose a few pounds...hopefully a few inches too. He still has his membership to Bally's so he started going on Monday and taking Logan....The plan is to go Mon - Wed. - Fri. and then go to a local school on Sat. as a family and walk on the track while Logan plays on the field. Anyway, while JR and Logan are at Bally's I get on my gazelle at home. Landry either sits in the swing or I "wear" her in a carrier. Both times JR has taken Logan though have been ugly....the first time the daycare people waved JR down because Logan wouldn't stop crying....and yesterday, JR didn't even get to work out because he couldn't leave the daycare room. I told him he just needs to drop him off and walk away...but oh well. So I guess I am going to start keeping Logan here...which makes it hard for me to work out....but I may be able to get it done in the mornings before Logan gets up....we will see!
I am leaving town tonight to go to my parents, and another Friday night football game. I am not really sure that I even want to go...I dont want to be on the road and I dont want to be away from home...but I already told my mother I was coming and she is looking forward to it, so I guess I have no choice! Oh well...I will enjoy it no matter what! Today's gonna be a good day....Today's gonna be a good good day!
