Working Hard or Hardly Working...
There is so much to do around my house. Last week I worked on Logan's room. I am 95% finished with it..just a few more things to do, and I have to re-do the book shelf since Landry has destroyed it. The problem with that is she is constantly getting books out and causing all the books to collapse. I really need to get some book ends. So, on the list for his room are book ends and wall hangings to decorate the room. Also, I am trying to decide whether or not to move his computer up there. I go back and forth on that, because if it is in his room, I can't really monitor his usage, and I don't want him to play on it at night...so, it's debateable. This week I am working on the play room. JR and I got the bunk bed put together last night, so now I am washing all the bedding., and then I will work on getting everything set up. I somehow, have a ton of laundry to do AGAIN! This stuff just keeps piling up! I will admit that 2 days last week, I did absolutely nothing. I mean, of course I took care of Landry, but I didn't really work around the house. Oh well, what's done is done.
Friday night was my dad's first football game of the season. We travelled to Llano, which is nearly a 2 hour drive from home. JR and I agreed that if it was a blow out we would leave the game early. JR had to go to work that morning at 2 am, so he was pretty tired, and he was getting up Saturday and leaving for Houston at 5:30. Well...it was NOT a blow out. It was a fun, exciting, stressful game. Luckily we won 27-26, coming down to just seconds left in the game. It was great. The team this year is no where near as good as last year's so I doubt we will be going to the state championship again this year:( Who knows though. There are a lot of things they need to work on, but luckily, the season just began!
Saturday, JR left for Houston for a friends birthday/boys weekend. We agreed that he would go Saturday and come home Sunday afternoon. I guess he had fun...apparently he won some money, but then placed a $200 dollar bet on the Texans (Houston) game this coming week. His whole defense is that it's free money since he didn't have it to begin with. If he loses the bet, it doesn't matter because he doesn't come out behind..if he wins, he doubles the money and gets $400. This logic makes some sense..but to me, I would have bet $100 and kept $100...what ever! He had a good time, so that's good.
Monday was spent doing yard work and some overdue house work.
Today, Logan started week 2. It wasn't a great start to the week, Logan was a little late getting to school! UGHH. I had a hard time getting him up, but once he got up, he was great. We got on the road at 7:25 and got stuck in traffic. Grr...We pulled through the drop off area at 7:39 - there were no teachers outside so I got out and walked him to the doors...which were locked, but luckily another parent was on her way out, so I sent Logan in. Hope he found his way to his class room:( OOPS! They are supposed to be in the classroom by 7:40, soooo obviously he was tardy. Gotta get on the road by 7:15 from now on! Grrr. Oh well, it is what it is!
