Well...we are still waiting...and waiting...and waiting. JR emailed the lady that handled our loan. We were told on Feb. 22 that the processor was sending our loan to USDA that day, from there it would be a 15-21 day wait, but that everything was going at the 15 day rate, then another 48 hour wait before we would be able to close. We were really hoping to close this Friday, however the lady emailed JR back and it turns out that the processor overnighted our paper work meaning that it didn't actually arrive until the 23rd. So, at the very earliest we can close Tuesday...more likely it will be Wednesday. So we are yet still a week away from closing.
It just pisses me off. Our damn paperwork sat on someones desk for a week before getting sent to the right person. We are paying money out the wazoo to pro-rate the house we are in. I am the one who talked JR out of staying with family because it was silly to move twice in one week...hmph - turns out we could have done what he suggested and saved a ton of money. Oh well. I am thinking of postponing Logan's birthday party...even though I just sent out a save the date. But the truth is, I just dont see how I can get it all done, next week is Spring break which means Logan wont be at school on Tues. and Thurs. IF we close on Wednesday we will be moving everything Wednesday evening. Thursday I will come back to this house to get it all cleaned for the move out inspection. Friday I have to find a place to put the kids so that I can paint downstairs which will most likely take most of the weekend...by the way JR and my anniversary is next Saturday...we getting each other a house! LOL JR will have to start working on the hardwood floors and get them done that weekend. Then I have to some how paint the upstairs rooms (with kids in the house...its just not going to work) and then get the house all set up. Furniture but together, boxes unpacked...I just dont know if I can do all of that in 9 days. I guess I better figure it out pretty quickly and let people know! Ughhh...this is just too stressful! Why can't it just go as planned?? Seriously our house has been finished for 2.5 weeks and we are still waiting to move in! It's so freaking frustrating.
