okay, so I dont know if anyone else is having a problem, but my blog is really really screwy lately. it wont let me log in...I have to try multiple times...ughhhh. It is very frustrating.
My dad went to the emergency room on Monday night. Turns out he has 4 kidney stones, and they ran some blood work to see if something else is wrong. The stones are too big to pass and will have to be blasted. He goes in Monday morning at 7:30 for the procedure. While it is an in and out ROUTINE procedure, please say a prayer for him. I dont know what the blood work will tell us, but I am worried about my pops. This is his 8th trip to the ER this year due to kidney stones...that seems really excessive to me. While he admits, to not drinking enough water, I feel as though this could be a sign of some sort of kidney failure...I dunno, I am not a doctor. The point is, I am worried about him.
Last night we headed to the football game, I picked up Landry's cheerleading uniform and it is darling....although once I started to really look at it...well, it has a few issues. #1 the top fits a little funny, #2 the bloomers are BIG. All in all it is still precious, and will be even better once the monogramming is finished on it! Woohoo. So back to the game, we were winning 28-0 at halftime, so JR and I decided to head home. The kids were tired, I was exhausted and JR had to be at work at 1:00 AM...Ugghhhhh. But, it was a pretty boring game, the other team wasn't very good, so we left. The final score was 48-7...so I guess we didn't miss much.
Today, we went to my great aunt Carolyn's 75 birthday party. It was at her assissted living home...and I was so happy to see her. I guess the new meds she is taking are working because she was doing really well with remembering peoples names...and there were A LOT of people! Carolyn's grandson Brandon, and his wife, Angela, were there and they brought their daughter, Addison. She was born on the same day as Landry....so it was really nice to let the babies play together...or so I thought! Addison weighs a whopping 28 pounds compared to Landry who weighs 18. Addison is also about an inch and a half taller (Brandon is 6'6" and Angela is 5'10") so it makes perfect sense that they would have a tall child...but they are also rail thin....and this baby is "healthy", LOL! At first, they girls were both shy, but once we put them on the floor to crawl around and explore, Landry went after Addison! She pretty much tackled the poor baby! It was funny at first, but I was worried about Addison. I guess Landry is used to having her brother around. Logan is so gentle with her, he lets her sort of tackle him and crawl on him...but poor Addison didn't know what in the hell was happening. Also, Landry has learned to give kisses, so at one point she grabbed Addison's face and started kissing her all over her face. Addison was mortified, so I had to keep Landry from tackling, and from grabbing Addison's face throughout the rest of the day! Too funny. They ended up having a lot of fun with each other....I mean, other than Landry's constant attempts to attack Addison! By the time we were saying our goodbyes, Landry started crying, and I realized that two of her teeth must have broken through within the last day or so. Neither of my children show any signs of teething. They might be a little bit fussier than usual, but honestly not enough to notice, so I was a little shocked! Anyway, such is life! I was so happy Landry had a friend to play with. Logan and Bubba played together the entire time and Isabella had her cousins Anna and Kelly...so I was very happy Landry had someone her age as well! It was a really good day!
On the way home, we dropped off Landry's cheerleading outfit to get monogrammed.....should be ready on Wednesday. I told the woman who made the outfit that I would be bringing in a stack of jeans for alterations...None of my jeans fit anymore, and I can't afford to buy a bunch of new jeans, and I can't keep pulling them up all the time...looking like droopy drawers...so I am going to go have them taken in! In other news, I am still looking for a job! Grrr...and planning Landry's first birthday party! I can't believe it is only a month away!!!! Anywho, hope everyone has a good weekend.
