Wedding Reception site!
So after a busy day yesterday, I am actually able to sit at home today and get some actual work done..yea! So yesterday, I went around and around, but I actually got some results...I think we have found a place for the ceremony and the reception. We are looking at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the roof gardens in Galveston for the reception. Getting in and out of the Roof Garden might be a little cramped and parking will be difficult...there are parking garages on almost every block so it shouldn't be too difficult, also I have thought of getting a party bus limo type thing in order to transport all the guests, so no one has to worry about parking, although at the same time, I feel like that is just another added expense, and parking shouldn't be that big a deal, its more like the 1 to 2 blocks that guests may have to walk from the parking garage. Everyone can use a little walk right? The roof garden's first floor is quite small, but it has an elevator, and a stair case that takes you upstairs to the ballroom, which is quite large, and it has a long balcony for smokers and we can either have the bar outside or inside. Yea I am so happy to have that all worked out...so where are we...I have the dress picked out, I have the site of the ceremony and reception picked out, next will be trying to find a caterer and a photographer. Then the cakes, the save the date and invitations, the DJ, I have to find a bartender (luckily they dont have to be a licensed bartender), then I have to figure out the clean up stuff. Because the place has to be cleaned before the night is over, Iam going to have to figure out who is going to do that...I dont want to do it...I am the bride, I dont want to ask my parents to do it, they are paying for the whole thing. So I am still brainstorming on how to remedy this problem. Anyway, back to work I go!

You should check with Ariel on bartenders. I'm sure she knows a few. =) As for the clean up, you could offer to a few acquaintances to stay and eat and drink for free if they clean up afterwards. That's what I did for a few things at my wedding. Good luck! And don't get stressed - this is supposed to be fun. ;)
